Re: Bachelor 19 - Britt Karolina Nilsson
Yeah that was a bit strange. She has a lot of explaining to do this weekend, because all of this info is jumbled together and just very confusing and contradictory. In regards to the Carly nonsense, I think she may have meant that Carly had been acting cold towards her lately, but she thought they were actual friends. She even said she didn't realize that Carly straight up disliked her.mindless wrote:Yeah, I don't think she really wanted to leave either, at least not yet. She just knew there was a high possibility of not getting a rose, so she wanted to leave on her own terms, but she couldn't help trying to gauge some positive reaction out of Chris first. She was clearly hoping after her apology he'd soften up and ask her to stay, but that obviously backfired. Instead he brought up things that would make her look even worse and compromise her chances of becoming the Bachelorette. She looked truly desperate to defend herself by saying Carly's on some mission against her. Then five minutes later she was wailing about thinking Carly was her friend. The girl can't keep her story straight even for a few minutes.

Well, it was a little confusing the way she explained it but when jimmy said "the way that I see it, there's no way you're moving to that town' and she went 'well, I don't think chris lives there. all the shops are closed. That's where he's from, but he lives in a home". I took that as meaning, she would be happy to live in his big house and they would just go out of town to go to restaurants, shopping, movies, etc.
Another lie/distortion of the truth. She told Chris that Carly has hostility towards her, but on jimmy she said she had no idea that Carly didn't like her until she watched the show.

Her whole storyline was confusing. The girls claimed that she said all this stuff, but we never actually got to hear her say ANY OF IT. And when she did say certain things, it was shown that exact way. It was very weird. It was like a "he said she said" type of deal the whole season, but it was all very jumbled together. None of it made 100% sense. Everyone has a lot of explaining to do imo.chasingpavements wrote:Well, it was a little confusing the way she explained it but when jimmy said "the way that I see it, there's no way you're moving to that town' and she went 'well, I don't think chris lives there. all the shops are closed. In regards to your last statement, look above. She told Chris that Carly had been acting weird with her/something against her or something in that vein and when she left she said she thought Carly and her were friends because they had heart to hearts or something. Then when she went on Kimmel she said she didn't realize that Carly had such hostility towards her and whatever whatever. So again, this leads to believe that she genuinely thought they were friends, or at least friendly, but towards the end of her stay she saw that Carly was being cold towards her. Long story short: she didn't realize how much Carly disliked her.

I don't think Carly disliked Britt until the whole "Leave 'em in the Bar waiting for us while we go to the concert" thing. When Britt came in with Chris, I think it would be easy to read Britt's reaction to the situation as smug or entitled. Add to that so of the other flip-flopping that a couple of the girls commented on, and Carly's reaction makes a little more sense. Carly knew she was leaving. I don't think she throw Britt under the bus with any concept that Carly would get a rose.

Re: Bachelor 19 - Britt Karolina Nilsson
But Carly was shown questioning Britt's words and histrionics to her face more than once, so it's not like she was totally hiding her thoughts or pretending to be friendlier than she was. That is exactly why Britt immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was Carly making comments at Chris. So it's kind of strange that she then tried to present it as some sort of betrayal that came from left field, when it obviously wasn't. It's just a way of deflecting attention away from her own mistakes. Carly the bully and Britt the poor innocent victim. Puh-lease! Carly didn't believe her when she said she wanted to leave and there was nothing Chris could say to make her stay, so she proceeded to go cry in the hallway. Well turns out Carly was absolutely right, since she was wailing about being sent home. She did not want to leave in the first place. I don't think Britt herself knows what she really wants, she's just used to getting her way by manipulating people. Glad Chris saw through it in the end.
Oh and I'm not surprised we didn't get to see all the things the girls mentioned Britt saying, because the cameras aren't following them around at all times on this show. I mean that's what Nikki had a hard time with on Couples Therapy, the cameras being in their faces at all times. That's not the case with this show. I don't find it surprising at all that Britt's facade would drop at times when she knew the cameras weren't rolling. Both Carly and Kaitlyn seemed to agree on what they heard from her in Arlington, so it wasn't just one person's word.

Again, who knows. We sure as heck dont. The people involved probably dont either tbh. At the end of the day, this show isnt real life. So take it for what it is=drama/entertainment.

Re: Bachelor 19 - Britt Karolina Nilsson
I take everything those girls said with a grain of salt as they were extremely jealous of Britt from the moment she got the FIR. On that Big and Rich date every single one on the group date was jealous of her and commented how they felt like it was all about Britt. I know it's a well kept secret but .... Sometimes when girls are jealous they sometimes exaggerate and/or will throw another girl under the bus
The (FRC) Proposal..."Will you marry me because I'd really like to date you"

I don't know...I think that's oversimplifying it. There have been other gorgeous girls on the show who got a lot of attention from the lead, like Emily Maynard, who didn't get thrown under the bus by the other girls. I think that Carly exaggerated her lies about Arlington, but I completely believe the other girls about how she was two-faced, overenthusiastic, and just agreed with whatever Chris said.
And, it wasn't just the girls on that group date. Mackenzie and Sammi, girls who left pretty early on, also had negative things to say about her.

Re: Bachelor 19 - Britt Karolina Nilsson
Yeah, I think if you reduce all dislike to jealousy, then the jealousy should extend also to other girls who got a lot of attention. Britt did get the FIR, but then she was practically invisible until episode 5 (?) when she got that 1-on-1. This week she didn't get much attention at all compared to say Jade or Whitney. I mean Jade was first chosen to go on everyone's dream date by Chris's sisters and now got to go to his hometown and meet his parents. Whitney also got a second 1-on-1 and met his friends and had a mural painted of them. Yet no one has anything negative to say about those two, instead everyone seems to love them. So really, it can't all be about Britt's looks, can it? She's pretty, but hardly miles above the rest. They're all beautiful IMO.

Re: Bachelor 19 - Britt Karolina Nilsson
I agree with that, Nortnernviewer. I never take the "opinions" of other participants as the truth. (The same as I didn't buy into the whole talk about Nick not being genuine and else) I trust my instinct and what I see/hear. And there's nothing bad that I would have a need to add to comment on Britt. She was definitely an important puzzle in TPTB's plot to take us on this journey. I believe everyone gets something out of it, maybe even what they wanted. I didn't dislike her presence. From the moment she stepped out of the limo I knew she is "the actress", one of those inevitable ones, but I don't mind that if I enjoy it, because the show must go on. On the contrary, she didn't evoke any feelings in me. Left me indifferent.

Re: Bachelor 19 - Britt Karolina Nilsson
She's dramatic, there's no question about that. I dont think anyone in their right mind would disagree with that. I do think she's naturally that way though. However, I also believe she amps it up a lot. Whether she realizes it? Only she knows. Her purpose? Only she knows. Why is she dramatic? Again, only she knows. I think she's a mix of both, and for whatever reason, it works or it doesnt. I think that she's also a mix of very confident but also lacks a lot of confidence. I think many see her as being very confident, but if you look between the lines, she's also not as confident as she appears, and you can see that by the way she acts. She along with every other person that goes on this show, and in the world imo, needs at least a few therapy sessions. Then again, we dont really know these people, because Tv and the situation that they're in while on TB isnt real life. I'm still sticking with my observations though, and the need for some therapy sessions, which is not a negative thing. It's very positive and gives a lot of self reflection and human realization. Apparently, Britt likes that sort of stuff according to her IG and Bachelor intro page, so get on it Britt!
