Well, Sam is certainly cementing her position as the Australian girl next door. Glad to see good opportunities come her way. Wouldn't you just love to be a fly on the wall at the next family dinner. I bet it will be hilarious!

Man. I just listened to the Mix interview. This thing is so confusing! I've been thinking back to the episodes and on a whole I didn't warm to Blake but there were some moments where I saw what I thought was genuine attraction and affection towards Sam that now confuse the hell out of me. They are -
1. Then Sam wanted out, Blake was nearly in tears
2. When Sam dropped the mint and Blake hugged her laughing and kinda bit his tongue
3. His eyebrow movement when he asks sam in the Blue Mountains of she has found love
4. The way he looked at her on the boat in South Africa and caressed her hip whilst kissing her (this bit was slightly cut though)
5. The way he pulled her in when kissing her goodnight

To me these were and still are rare moments when I think he showed his feelings for Sam. I just don't ge the rest! What is clear is that this break up is certainly a bigger winner for Shine than the proposal ever could be. The media hype and interest is out there! I wonder if there is truth to the sham rumour but somewhete along the line he actually developed feelings for Sam? This sounds so far fetched I know but who knows?

^^Sundy, I agree. How he faked his attraction to Sam on the boat in South Africa is beyond me. It was seriously sexy/palpable... The way he looked (no, gazed) at her? Way more than friendship there in his look... He always leaned into her/pulled her towards him... if you watch the last two episodes and compare his body language with with the other girls he was always leaning  back and they pulled him towards them

All I know is:
- We don't understand
- Sam doesn't understand
- Blake doesn't understand
Sad really. Breaking up is fine.. it is just that nothing makes sense at all... to anyone, it seems. Such is love, and life, I suppose.

The bolded is my all time favorite moment between them, that was the most natural I had seen Blake, Sam really lit him up, sigh....I give up, no clue what happened here. And you know what, for Blake to still be trying to get in touch with her as of Sunday, I bet he is confused as heck how it all went down, hopefully he figures it out someday!!!!!

Hi Everyone I haven't posted in a week but I've been silently reading all these posts after all the excitement that I had on the finale night and just wanted to let it all sink in.
So my thoughts on all this, I think Blake is one confused soul and I actually feel sorry for him, yes what he did to Sam was terrible, he shouldn't have proposed if he thought that there was any doubts although he told time and time again that he had no doubts what so ever. But from the interviews I've been hearing and the fact that Sam has blocked his calls makes me think that he really does care about her and the only reason he broke the engagement off was because he didn't want to string her along and make things worse for her when he broke it off a couple of months later. I think that this season was all about the fairy tale romance and the producers really wanted to have a proposal, and Blake being the idiot he is went along with it, but then he felt guilty because just like all of us he too fell for Sam. I believe he did or does love Sam, I don't believe that he loves her only as a mate because that is not what his eyes told me. But then I think he didn't think that he could marry her and because she was a fan favourite and the producers wanted it he had to propose but then his conscience kicks in and he breaks it off. If he really wanted to he could have waited until all the hype of the finale came down and broken things off because he was bound to know that he was going to get a lot of bitterness from everyone like us who invested so much time into this show.

OK I think that was a long rant, in simple terms Blake is a confused soul and I feel sorry for him because I feel he was coerced into proposing and then he felt guilty. Why else would he break up a week before and let all the blame fall on him.

I'm happy for Sam, she's young, beautiful she needs someone who is not confused and knows what they want from a relationship. I really hope that Blake is not chasing after Louise because she too is an amazing woman and I don't want her getting caught up in this mess. Blake needs to get his emotions in check he needs figure out what he wants from a relationship.

Agreed. The fact that sex/intimacy was completely off the table, even though gentlemanly, says there is something else there. He always evades it in every question. And it may have zero to do with rumours. Who knows, maybe he was just exhausted, done and it was easier to just drop the whole thing with Sam than work at it when he knew he wasn't in that headspace to even function normally. He probably should not have watched the show back. Too raw, as he said. And who knew what his friends/family said while watching and them telling him whom he should pick without them knowing the result may have fed his doubts. Maybe he never felt good enough for Sam. They would definitely have been best friends and lovers if the lover part extended to sexual intimacy beyond what he showed anyone. To find a best friend in your spouse is the best thing. When the sexy feelings leave, that is what keeps you together. Ah, well. All the best to both of them.

I saw those moments too, Sundy! His actions towards her were just so obviously different than how he acted towards the other women. The way he looked at her was different. He would have the biggest beam on his face around her. She did seem to bring out the best in him. To me, he really did love her, not in the "mate" or "friend" way that he now claims in his radio interviews. I totally understand Sam's confusion about him switching off as soon as the cameras were gone, and not even wanting to give their relationship a try. That makes no sense. Is it possible to fall in and out of love that quickly? Within a day's time?! He's an AMAZING actor if he was able to feign all those emotions, tears and all. Absolutely amazing!
I'm pretty baffled about how this has all turned out.
I was talking with my classmates at uni today and they previously scoffed at me for thinking that the show could even be "real" and produce a happy ending...but now they're just saying "I told you so!" & even more so after they found out about Blake's stripper business.
aw anyway, I do hope that both Sam and Blake are able to move on from this. It sounds like Sam's having an easier time than Blake at the moment...and I guess fair enough, because he did confuse and break her heart after all. Although he does speak about himself a lot in interviews, there's still a part of me that wants to believe he isn't that heartless to not care about Sam's feelings. I mean, he once said he wanted to protect her! Dunno what changed :S He does often say Sam's hurting, in his interviews.
As others have pointed out, he really does seem extra confused as well. His attempts to contact Sam do contradict what he keeps saying in the radio interviews about wanting to "put this all behind" and "move forward". Unless he's trying to contact her to give her more closure? Only he knows this. It's understandable why she doesn't want to talk to him any more.

The deal breaker for me is the no intimacy from the moment they were alone, apart from kissing that is. I 100% believe that Blake knew at the time of the proposal what his intentions were, but hell he just proposed to the woman he loves. What man wouldn't want that intimacy? Unless you knew that you were going to break her heart and wanted to lessen the damage! He needs to fess up, not only for Sams well being but for his own as well. The whole thing is very sad. And don't get me wrong, he is a jerk, but who really knows who the players are in this?

I completely agree that was my favourite bit when Sam dropped the mints down her dress and did you guys see Blake's face? He was laughing so much it was so cute! I dm'd the video to Sam on Instagram and she replied " oh that was so funny and a smidge embarrassing #waytoruinaromanticmoment haha and she put emoji's " etc my favourite but was also in the preview on Sam's journey ( aired in the final episode) when Blake and Sam were sitting down on their picnic date and it showed Blake laughing his but off it was so cute! Guys go watch back on it how can all this intimacy disappear? I do hope Sam becomes Australia's first bachelorette ( if she even is still single ) it will be cool seeing 30 hot guys running after Sam for a change PS- I do want to keep watching Sam on tele aswell hahahaha
