Which is something I really don't understand.  I'd much rather look at 25 good looking guys than 25 drama queens.  I've always liked the Bachelorette better than any of the male leads.

Same here. I love watching 25 guys and their developing bromances. They're usually much more chill than the women on the Bachelor, except for some members of the Right Reasons police force. I also think the female leads are much better at picking with their brain+heart as opposed to... other body parts. I guess Andi was too manly for me.

Don't you think the ratings have a lot to do with the Bachelorette being a summertime show though? People have a lot more going on during summer than winter. And it's so soon after the Bachelor that people feel like they've gotten their fill of forced TV romance and can't get invested again so soon after.

I think that probably has a lot to do with it. We barely get off TB and then the next one comes along whereas the Bachette ends in Jul and TB starts in Jan. Plus people going on vacations and just getting out and about.

I personally don't need the drama for me to watch a love story and like you enjoy the bromances but I think many do want drama. And women are certainly more catty than the men tend to be.

If we are talking about SM popularity, I see way more pics of JPG and Nikki and Sean and Catherine, way more, on SM than I do of Josh and Andi.

That may mean nothing, but I wouldn't say they are the most popular couple to come out of this franchise on SM.

In the few vid's that I've watched, I noticed Josh is the one that takes over the conversation. It's almost as if he wants control, to avoid any slip ups by Andi. I watched the one earlier, they were being interviewed by a young girl. I do not like the digs Andi gives him. She was making fun of him for loosing the group date basketball game.

I personally do not like it when one partner finds the need to constantly point out the negative or ridicule the other, let alone in the media. I realize it's joking around, but it's not funny to me at all. Why not say something like, he really tried to win that game, he was upset he lost, he's a good basketball player? He on the other hand, said she wasn't that bad, when Andi said she can't play basketball at all.

I hate to answer for her but I believe she was talking about Andi and Josh's followers on IG and Twitter.

It doesn't bother me how they joke with each other. I don't get the impression he's trying to take control. In that interview he didn't say anything until he was asked a question. IMO he doesn't back away from interviews but he doesn't try and push her out either. I like the fact they both can hold their own in interviews.

I am talking about the followers on each of the couples on Twitter, IG and FB. Really though popularity is in the individuals eyes anyway.

Yes, if we're referring to IG and Twitter in regards to SM - Andi has 761K followers on Instagram, more than any other lead/contestant from this franchise. Josh has 517K followers on Instagram, which is quite a lot and he's only behind Catherine and Sean.

They have a good amount of followers on Twitter as well. For me at least, with the people I'm friends with or deal with, they all really enjoyed this season and liked Andi. Not everyone agreed with her actions in regards to the fantasy suite, but they still enjoyed the season and liked her as a whole and this is coming from people that aren't into it as much as I am and a few people that really like the show.

OMG, GA wouldn't like my all time favorite reality couple Jeff and Jordan from Big Brother Jeff is always joking around with Jordan they are adorable together.... It's just how some couples are ..

As far as seeing more pictures of JPG/ Nikki and Sean/Cat we have to remember Andi and Josh haven't been out in the public much either. They've been staying close to home so far.

Well if that's the case none of the  female leads will be getting a wedding because  they are never as high as the male leads, like I said earlier in a post really who is surprised about the ratings? Women are other  women worst enemy. The worst male lead rating are better than the best female ... So really no surprise here.

I think a lot has to do with the time of the year---TB is shown during the winter season and now football is over. More people snuggle up in their warm nests watching tv. 'Ette is on during the summer when people are going on vacation and more involved outside enjoying the season and longer days.
I have always enjoyed TB more than 'Ette. That's just me. I know that can go either way with fans.
I think (just my own opinion) women can be very supportive of each other and that this issue has little to do with ratings. Again, my opinion. I have been lucky enough to share in many women's support groups and the love and friendship women can share is extraordinary.

Considering JASH was quite a few seasons ago and are going about living their own lives and working their own boring normal jobs(they are only trotted out by TPTB when necessary) --I am not surprised they are where they landed.  In fact, I am amazed they ended as high up as they did! Good for them.

Weren't the leads of this show and the contestants pretty silent on social media just a few seasons ago? While it was airing at least. Now they're constantly tweeting and stuff to raise interest. I think that's at least some of the reason why the latest seasons have so much following on Twitter. People started following them while the show was airing. Instagram only took off quite recently too.

I think with JP/Ash it's because their season was a while ago and they don't keep in the limelight either. They do a little but nothing compared to Sean/Cat.

Considering that Andi/Josh are a new couple they have a very good showing on twitter on IG it's even more amazing (their following)... So I guess if going by SM, they are one of the most popular in the franchise.
