Another factor to consider as awful as this sounds, is the ex-abusive BF. Will this flush him out of the woods, so to speak. Even with restraining orders in place, awful things do continue to happen all the time in these situations.
Even if--
TPTB kept this totally out of the storyline, it's very possible someone aware of her past, would feed it to the rag/mags.
It's hard to imagine this as a winning situation. If it were me, I would contact Chris on my own!

If she gets far but is not the F1, with that kind of background ( the story will be told, no doubt ) they could possibly used her like Emily as the next bachelorette. But again, there is no way they are not going to bring up that subject matter on the show. It's a new one they haven't address yet.

Melissa, always hurt by her boyfriends in the past, Chris L, quit his job to take care of his mother, Jason, the single dad, Emily the single mom whose boyfriend was killed in a plane crash, Josh the ex-baseball player and the stories go on. They do tend to make people one dimensional.

I agree that it WILL be her complete storyline, and if she is lucky they will show her true personality but I seriously doubt it. I can also see them keeping her around for a while in order to milk her storyline as much as possible. These people just can't be trusted. I hope that she is mentally prepared because the faceless people of social media will both be sympathetic and cruel, and unfortunately the cruel one's make the loudest noise. All the best to her.

Interesting thing is that if I had to describe her in one word, it would be bubbly. She has always had this wonderful twinkle in her eye, has dimples for days and is incredibly upbeat. Bouncy even. Not quite Ryan Parks, but very positive.

Which means that the producers have already put their diabolical brains to work plotting how to use her background to create drama. I hope she doesn't risk it.

That's where I was going with my last post. If not the ex, his friends etc, it won't be pretty. The rag mags make up stories, I can't imagine one with the slightest amount of truth.

With her bubbly personality, perhaps she can help others who are in that situation that see no way out.

Bullxxxx.  they'll tell her anything they want.  She wouldnt be the "graphic artist or massage therapist from Portland" , she'd be the "domestic abuse survivor from Portland." Dont trust them to handle this in any sensible, or positive way. They'll mention it enough to find a way to pat themselves on the back for being "supportive" and she will be left to clean up the mess.

I'd just tell her that I trust her to make that decision and would support her no matter what.

Agree with this. She has to decide if she wants to go for it or not, warts and all. She might have a wonderful experience, most of them do, even the brokenhearted f2's.

But, it is also good to let her know that TPTB like to fixate on one thing about a person. So it will probably be brought up a lot.

I can't believe that they would. The lead - maybe they'll do some negotiating if they want the lead badly enough (think Emily and filming in Charlotte) but when it comes to the cast there's so many fish in the sea and little reason to go after just one.
