Speaking of dresses and sewing,  wonder if the fashionistas  or ladies who like to dress up and love SHOES  would feel bit disheartened to marry a farmer who lives in a farm.   I don't really watch the Bachelor  but when I do I look for the women who knows how to dress up.   I didn't mean that farmers and their wives go barefoot and naked in the farm,  I was just wondering about how women who loves to dress up  (ala Ashlee)  fix their hair (like Clare and Michelle Money)  feel about it.   Iowa is not exactly the  fashion capital,  guess wearing Jimmy Choos and Blahniks are pointless if you are just gonna stay with the hubby to feed the pigs.  That would be a big blow to some of Chris' prospective suitors.

Has it ever been established whether or not Chris actually feeds his own pigs (and will expect his future wife to, sans Manolos)?  I assumed he had hired workers actually performing most of the physical labor, while he ran the business aspects of the enterprise.  Is he looking for a wife or an indentured servant?

I assume he has workers and farmhands too because Chris is more of a businessman than a farmer.  I was just exagerrating the image of him that TBTP is trying to project to the public and to his future bachelorettes.  

 However,  I imagine a woman who will be a good fit for him is open about at least being in the farm once in a while and doing farmer wife things/duties. Like maybe knowing about the farm operation, making meal for their workers and families or at least host one,   making nice with hogs as we've seen him in his intro videos.   It would be a lonely life for a farmer if he's married to a woman who has no interest in their business.  What if he had a connection with a fashion model (like Courtney Robinson) or an opera singer (Sharleen Joynt) and they are a good fit, chemistry wise but they are obviously in different worlds.  It would frustrate me as a viewer because I know it will not work out.    So  I would look for a suzy homemaker among the bunch to cheer for but what if there is no magic with the lead or I do not connect with her as a viewer?  
A friend of mine loves Chris and would have auditioned if she didn't like her career and california weather so much (and also his supposed political views would be a dealbreaker for some).   Women who will just be auditioning for the Bachelorette will surely not be daunted.

The ex girlfriend though looks like a certified hottie and a paddlefit instructor. My kind of girl.

This girl says she has made it to the finals. Not exactly a farm wife.

No real more leads? Typical models/wannabe models so far.

I think it's because of this, but maybe someone knows more. I don't think he made any particular political statement or has shown his support to any party, that I know of.

You are right GA. Rick Perry was at the state fair and took a picture with him. Nothing is political about it at all.

I am not going to address politics, but from what I gather if you really dig you can find some things. I am not putting any kind of spin on this---but we all have certain political views we embrace and being that this is a major business in Iowa and long standing family it won't be difficult if you want to dig.
Personally, I don't think it matters as like I said we all have some type of political view.

I'm sure there are things about all of us if you really dig. Glad that it wasn't anything really stupid that Chris has done/said that I missed. I remember a lot of assumptions about Sean as well. This is supposed to be a fun show and unless people are particularly stupid about their behaviour, it doesn't impact my enjoyment when I watch them.

There is far more than just a picture with Rick perry. I think if that is all there was no one would be bothered. He also attends Republican fundraisers including one last month that was also attended by Cruz and Rubio. The Republicans made a big fuss about him and it got a lot of press attention. Iowa Republicans are thrilled that he is on their side because he is popular with women.

Why would a bachelor or bachelorette not be entitled to their own political views? It is part of who they are and even if it comes up on the show, that is actually part of compatibility in marriage as well.

As long as it isn't you must believe what I believe, I could care less. Just my opinion.

I'm in Canada and I have no idea who Cruz and Rubio are. I have heard of Rick Perry. (Didn't he just get indicted or something shortly after the Iowa State Fair?)

Unless I am voting for them, it makes no difference what peoples political stances are...unless, it is something really vile. We are all entitled to our views and as long as they are not being shoved down my throat, I can live with them. That is why I don't discuss religion and politics. If it is really important to him, I'm sure Chris will discuss it with his ladies...and we will be none the wiser...as usual. I watch for the crazy and the travel and have never even considered anyone's political views while watching this show. Somehow this show doesn't exactly scream politics or religion to me. I wonder why?
