Nope, I wasn't talking about JODI ( they're doing fine, very fine). And soccermom, I like you because you "get" me!

I love football but don't think it's appropriate in any context, Mia. I completely understand being protective with your sibling but it's not going to help and very likely could hurt Aaron with his employer. I think Josh knows it was a dumb move and hopefully will be more careful with SM in the future.

In my teens and early 20's I tended to see things more in black or white. Either things were right or wrong but with age it's more gray. I still see many of my friends whether talking politics, religion or even life in general stuck in their way is the only right way. As to how Josh and Andi actually see things I don't know since I know only what the show showed us. Since I do see things in gray I do understand though why Josh on spurred of the moment made a tweet like that out of frustration. I could see myself doing something like that. That also is what I've learned with age is to give people slack for actions because people are complicated and not one sided.
Great post, Pander. I agree! Josh made a mistake. An emotional, frustrated response out of love for his brother that I'm sure he regrets and which I'm sure he's apologized to his brother for. He's entitled to making mistakes; he's human after all. Cutting slack should be an equal opportunity thing; not just for those people that you like versus people that you don't. JMO.

I very much agree with this. While I appreciate how close the family is, now that the siblings are all getting older and coming to their own as adults, I think it is time to cut the cord a little bit. At least publicly. You can do that and still remain very close. Because of both Aaron's and Josh's notoriety and fame, they both have a lot of people following them on SM and they have to be extra careful what they post now. Things that they would have posted a year ago will now be extra scrutinized due to all of their extra follows. Something that is innocent can be easily taken out of context and misconstrued.

I agree with you. I think Josh has learned his lesson. I also hope that he gained more of an understanding for others that might have done something similar.

I would think that Josh's removing the tweet is evidence that he realized his mistake and corrected it. And yeah, neither he nor Aaron are children, but thankfully we don't stop growing emotionally at 30, and with age comes further wisdom and maturity for everyone. If I was still being judged for my behavior at 30 when I am now nearly twice that age, I'd be constantly embarrassed and perturbed.
As far as the black and white thinking, I suspect that working as an ADA may be partially responsible (or at least supported the tendency) for Andi to think that way, since you can't be partially guilty or partially not guilty in a court of law. And while I think that mindset can change and broaden over time, there are plenty of fully mature people who still take a Manichean view of everything. The constant political bickering and "us or them" mentality of many in this country is evidence enough of that.

We all make mistakes. Josh made an emotional tweet, but no matter how old you are or what your job, your family should never criticize their siblings employers publicly. It is bad form and could hurt Aaron. I do think Josh realized that and hence the retraction.
Both Andi and Josh are a little stubborn, so far they seem to get along and have no issues so they are obviously stubborn about things that are not causing problems.

Maybe Josh doesn't understand that Aaron is a "grown a** man" that can and should handle his business with his employer. So will Josh be tweeting about the big, bad linebackers that sack Aaron if he makes it out onto the field? That would be fun to watch! Off to make some popcorn...albean99 wrote:MiaHawk wrote:My opinion is that one grown man should not be interfering with his grown brother's job. Grown man can make mistakes too, as long as he doesn't blame anyone else but himself, and learns from the mistakes. In Josh's case, hopefully it'll be "cutting the cord".
