Laura, I feel the same way...I can't imagine how those people can be very happy...I think they must troll around like they do snarking at innocent people because they want to drag them down to their dark level.. I think a lot of it is about jealously which is so unattractive...Josh and Andi have the world by the string..they are crazy in love with each other and that has to drive their jealous those who are not fans crazy....LOL I can't imaging picking on this sweet, beautiful couple.. They are such sweethearts ..Laura Walsh wrote:I just hate it when people post on tweets by others and say something not real nice.
On Andi and Josh's tweet about the ping pong charity. Someone said on Josh's "How much green are you getting for this charity event."
And on Andi's someone said, "Hope you're going to contribute to this cause and not just do it to keep in the spotlight" That's not verbatim but pretty close.
Why do people go on someone's twitter and then put something insulting on it. What happened to if you can't say anything nice, say nothing?

Ignore them. I usually click on the profile of those hater tweets, who are not JODI fans, and 90% of them are Nick's fans, they just can't move on and get the **edited** over it. Josh and Andi will be engaged 4 months 9/9 and are more in love and happy together than ever. I have no interest in anything Nick does or tweets. If I don't respect and like someone, I don't follow their tweets. Why do they follow Andi and Josh, just to hate on them, how sick and pathetic, jealous losers.

For me I wouldn't care if a charity that I support paid a celebrity for coming to their events, with the celebrity status, fame and recognition more people are likely to be interested an one hope that would mean more people giving... It's just the times we live in.....
As someone who works on a lot of fundraisers, and has helped file the tax reporting information for others, there is a limit to what a charity can or should pay out to attract attendance or generate interest. You have a duty to your donors to make them feel like you are spending judiciously. Charities will definitely come off of my list if they don't share my values on it; true enough that many groups seem like they are just excuses to attend fancy parties and let people pretend they care about a cause, but I have no place in my life for that. Those events attract shallow people who really are just pretending. You won't get any long term dedication or generosity from them.
I could definitely see making sure a couple like Andi and Josh could attend "free," (cover their ticket costs, see if you can get a local hotel to comp their room), and that I am fine with; it won't really hit the bottom line. But too many events are 90%-99% covering the event costs, and 1 -10% for the cause. I've also seen plenty that LOSE money. That, to me, completely defeats the purpose.
ANYWAY, sorry for the sidetrack! I'm working on an event right now and things are always so short staffed; so many dedicated people who do more than their share that should get some recognition for it.

Just give me something that looks like a real love story to help me escape into my own version of fantasy for a while. And maybe against the odds one of those stories will actually survive real life. Nothing wrong with a little hope, right?

Paid for the event would also fall under transportation, lodging etc.... I see absolutely nothing wrong with charities who pay people/celebrities for their face/time.

Well, they go off of MY donations and volunteer lists. Let people who are more interested in social connections than actual charity be the donors.
Their face time should, at minimum, be their donation. They get positive PR by being associated with a charitable event.
It's like two distinctly different continents in the non-profit world. But the real work gets done by the less glamorous groups. If your cause is good and your charity is run efficiently you can get celebrities to show up completely on their own dime, not even having to comp their costs.
But, you know, it isn't the fault of the celebrity, really. It is the fault of the charity. They've lost sight of what they exist for (or they never had it to start with; charities are treated as personal salary venues by many young entrepreneurs).
Sorry, again - side track. Like I said, I'm working on an event right now where we're watching every last penny so this sort of thing hits a nerve. I don't take time away from my kids working for free to line someone else's pockets. I can only hope that Andi and Josh do these things with the "right" reasons ( ;) )

Alwaystulips, thanks for finding these pictures and bringing them over for us. You said there was a ton more on this blog. Is there anymore or did you bring them all over? What blog did you find these on. Thanks.

nannymargie, the link is listed at the top of my post. It's the official LA Dodgers' photographer's site.
I think this is all of Andi and Josh, but I could've missed one or two.
