It seems as though this blog was first to report the details of the surprise party.

What caught my eye in this article was the last sentence about location of their wedding.

I'm already getting reports of where the telegenic couple supposedly will tie the knot. Stay tuned!

Sort of implies that they'll be getting married locally. Would ABC televise the wedding if it's not in LA? Much as I'd love to see it on TV, I want Andi & Josh to be happy about all aspects of the wedding. And if they've got their hearts set on having it in Atlanta, but that means it won't be televised, I'm okay with that. (Because they need my approval, obviously. giggling

) We'll just need lots and lots of beautiful, glossy photos!

EE, why couldn't it be televized if it is in Atlanta? I thought this was the most obvious possibility.

I am so happy for Josh and Andi and I believe it will definitely be televised. Where and when is the question. For ABC it is all about money and ratings. They know these two will bring in the ratings for sure. I believe Des and Chris will be next but I don't think ABC is televising that one. sad

There will be pictures, video etc., but no actual "show." If I had to guess, it will be this fall which leaves Andi and Josh for the Spring. No idea though, just a guess.

The next few months will be interesting on SM. Watching as clues start to surface. Smiley

I do not see whay it couldn't be filmed in Atlanta. After all if the film crew can travel all over the world they sure can go to Atl. Plus they could find a wedding planner in that area. I think it's completely doable....Plus Josh would want to have all his friends there and it might be hard for everyone to be able to go to Cali.

I've always just assumed that if the wedding is going to be televised, the deal is that it has to be in LA. Just going by the fact that all the other franchise weddings have been held in California. It never made sense to me that Ashley & JP, two East Coast people, would have their wedding clear across the country, particularly when Ashley had said she wanted a New York wedding. I figured ABC presented it as, Sure, we'll pay for your wedding, but we get to choose the venue. But if the network wants to televise it badly enough, and A&J really want it in Atlanta, hopefully they're able to negotiate exactly what they want!

I agree. I think it might be different with Jodi since they've focused so much on Atlanta and how these two went on the show, only to go back where they started. It might be a pretty cool thing to have it in Atlanta based upon that.

I too always thought If ABC televised the wedding that it has to be in california. Maybe that'll change? I also noIced Andi said she wanted the wedding to be exactly a year since they got engaged which would be may 9. Wouldn't that date clash with the filming of the future bachelorette?

I do think that ABC/the Bach does control most of the wedding details- with consultation from the couple. But certainly they choose the venue. That being said, I think the venues bid for the opportunity to host the wedding as they will gain national exposure. So.... what resorts/large hotels are in the Atlanta area- or are there any new ones being built (like the place where Molly and Jason were married in Palos Verdes)? That may be the answer.

ABC's decisions of what and where to film and broadcasts weddings probably has everything to do with where they find free venues, free wedding planners, free dresses, free tuxes, free florists, free jewelry, free wedding cakes and these and/or other sponsors that kicks in to pay for everything else.

Also, I think RS is calling it wrong and we will see a Des and Chris' wedding special.
