If they are back together I'd worry it may just be for Andi to save face after a failed attempt with Josh. I hope not. Maybe Andi goes to his room the next day because Nick refuses to go to the rose ceremony without knowing how she feels and her answers at LCD weren't enough. He leaves. All initial SM/video is correct. Word is out that Josh wins. All that momentum would continue until the whole town was saying Josh is the F1. It's not a great ending, but fits IMO.

Also .. Recall what Nick said to her dad regarding IF or WHEN they decide....... That sure didn't sound very reassuring about where that relationship was heading .. His uncertainty was pretty evident at that time

The quote Marcus said was left in for a reason and has been sticking out at me since we heard it. I do think Nick walks either on LCD or the morning after. Per the plane video, I think they probably have a discussion and she admits that it's too hard and he walks after that. He admitted in PI's that he was worried he would lose her so I definitely do think he is not as confident as he appears in her feelings for him plus he talks about her reassuring him so obviously he did express doubts to her at some point.

For me, that was just a statement of his belief that a couple decide together rather than the old fashioned version of the man deciding. It's also why he must talk it over with her at LCD.

Yes he has made multiple comments that she reassured me throught out the whole thing this is in line with what we heard from insiders before the season aired that Andi constantly reassured Nick

That discussion may lead him to walk because I do believe he does walk and is not there for FRC - now what happens later on, is anyone's guess. His family did say he was happy shortly after returning. So either he made peace with the situation outside the bubble or something else happens.

It could just be producer driven because why wouldn't they have discussed it in the fantasy suite?

I wonder if the contestants usually ask the lead straight out questions? I would. I would want to know if I wasn't the F1.
Along the same vein, I wonder if the lead usually tells the F1 he/she is it…..to stop them from worrying?

I'd love to know the real answers to those questions.

I wonder if Nick questioned her, or just sincerely believed in their connection?

Well I think Ashley told JP she loved him.So I always think they do somehow!

JMO - I don't think he was as "confident" as it appeared. I think it was a defense mechanism and him trying to overcompensate in front of the guys as a way to make himself feel confident. He said multiple things to me that showed he was constantly over-analyzing his relationship, feeling like he needed Andi to give him reassurance that his feelings were real and reciprocated. The episode that showed the peak of his "cockiness" (Brussels) I actually think he was having a minor breakdown within the confines of the show, he seemed very skittish and nervous and it wasn't until he got the group date rose he seemed at ease again, because Andi again reassured him.

Some examples:

- He said in an ITM that he had no confidence in their relationship (France) - he gets the next 1-on-1 date
- In a voiceover he said he did not have confidence it would be him in the end
- In Brussels when he snuck over he said he thought he knew how Andi felt but he needed reassurance before they went into hometowns, she reassured him by being excited he came and made out against a tree
- In Brussels at the monastery he said that he had said a lot of deep stuff to Andi she couldn't say back but needed reassurance they were on the same page, she reassures him by giving him the rose
- In DR he said he was frightened to lose the relationship. At the RC he said he had gone through every scenario in his head and that he obviously over thinks everything

Before the season began we were told I believe by Chloep that Nick constantly needed reassurance and Andi constantly gave it to him. She said herself she might make him a believer.

I think Nick is very analytical and over thinks everything, making him one second confident the other second unsure. Everytime he was unsure he went out to get more "evidence" that her feelings for him were real and pretty much every time she did something to reassure him, this could be Andi or producer induced, I think a little of both. This is Nick's personality of being overly analytical, I have the same personality and I know I would go absolutely crazy in this environment.
