People sure do have the right to post whatever they want.  Just pointing out that I never would have seen this hateful mans twitter and anything negative about Josh and Andi if it hadn't been pointed out here and the man's twitter account posted for us to go look.

I guess for me if you don't like someone I do find it odd that people are so interested in what those people do. But that is each person's individual right.  I chose to ignore the people I don't like, if others want to give their time and attention to people they don't like that is okay for them.

While individual thoughts or posts may not be bashing or hating, when all someone ever has to post on someone is negative after a while the multitude of posts can seem like bashing.

If you think that people shouldn't follow others on social media if they don't like them, I guess the same can be said for this thread. If someone doesn't like some negative talk about someone they do like, maybe they shouldn't follow this thread. That's what the awesome fan threads are for.   

I don't agree on the last part ... the fan thread is purely for all positive, no "controversial" talk, as I have been reminded.
So, me as a fan, I can't talk in the fan thread about Nick's "mistakes" ... even if I don't think they are actually mistakes, because they are just "a momentary problem" from which someone learns and grows (we were talking about the cracks) ...
and I find that a positive thing, but not a "Fan-Thread appropriate".  
So if I come here, in the discussion thread, I would love to be able to discuss those traits/actions in the positive light ...
but of course I understand that "not-Nick's fans" will contribute to the discussion and
it won't be all positive for Nick, because someone would be criticizing him for that,
while all I would want is to debate how one can turn the flaw into his advantage.

And I have read some "name-calling" directed at Nick even on this thread ... which is just the same as saying he is an awful guy. Since it is not against the rules, because it is not said anything against the member of this board, I prefer to just skip those kind of posts and I don't mind coming here and discuss with all of you, who might not see Nick in the same light as me, but being confined only to the Fan thread would be too restraining for me, because I like to debate (weighting pros and cons, exchanging POV) and not just praise and applaud the guy [no matter how much I like him].

I think you're missing my point a bit. I was told that if I don't like Nick, then I shouldn't follow him on social media. I figure, if that's the case, if people don't like negativity about their favorite contestant, then maybe it would be best to not spend as much time in the general contestant thread where there will most definitely be some negativity. It's the way it goes. Some people like certain guys and other people don't like certain guys. It's talked about in every single contestant thread.

I'm obviously a fan of Josh and during the season, there was a lot of negativity in his general contestant thread. Some people thought he was bipolar or needed anger management because he got upset they lost the basketball game. Some people called him immature because he hasn't had a serious relationship in five years. If I felt like responding, I would and if I didn't feel like dealing with the negativity, I wouldn't.

It goes both ways. Nick, Josh and Andi all get some criticism. And that's what it is. All three have been called some pretty mean things, but I still stand by the fact that no one has gone overboard on their thoughts with Nick (Andi is a different story). Unfortunately, with his actions, Nick has allowed himself to be open to a lot of criticism.

General discussion threads are created to discuss general topics on the contestant who's name is in the title of the topic. The discussions can flow from positive or negative depending on the posters opinions. A poster should not hesitate posting their opinion as long as it's within the topic and rules of the forum, for fear of repercussion from other posters. They can include other contestants from the show as a source of referring to for information or comparison purposes. That information may also be positive or negative in nature when describing whatever point the poster is trying to get across. Weakness's or strength's of the contestant may be discussed among various other topics, whether positive or negative.  

Fan threads were created at the request of members, for a place to discuss all things positive. The purpose of these threads are to prohibit opinions that are negative, from members who do not like the contestant, and to prohibit  posts that create negative dialogue with several responses, which ultimately turns into a general discussion thread, which we already have in place, and defeats the purpose of a FAN thread.

The result.

1. We have a topic for all positive posts, no negative information is allowed for subject contestant.

2. We have a topic for general discussion, where any topic may be discussed.

This is the final time I'm going to explain this. Any future posts, requesting a separate thread to discuss negative posts in fan threads, or vice versa which are not within policy will be deleted.

Me too! It gave me more insight into Nick's perspective of the situation. I also liked that Sean gave Nick an opportunity to post on his blog.

You know what I didn't like about this season, for me when Nick made the comments on the video it was touted as gossip that Josh had a bad temper and that he was a pushover where Andi was concern. The thing about the blog to me I take it with a grain of salt because only 2 people know what was said and done in the FS an one is not talking....I done believe anyone 100% no matter who it is.

LOL, listen I am not saying that nothing happen in the FS, I am 100% sure it did even before the outing at the ATFR an I have NO problems whatsoever with it, like I said before when it was discussed weeks before the ATFR she was not in an exclusive relationship with either, so no bubble burst or illusion for me......

IA, instead of going the ridiculous route and saying "well if I did XYZ, that's 'fiance' stuff, but since we only went to ABC base, then that's NOT 'fiance' stuff," she would have made the entire situation freaking ridiculous, even more so than Nick. Instead, she made the entire conversation about whether or not Nick was right to bring it up at all considering how private it should be. She did a great job imo and yeah, Nick sucks for going there again and again and now once again with the blog post. SMH.
