wow, why I opened this thread again?

I only recall 2 moments when he backtracked his SM activity, 1st when 'favorited' a tweet that was distasteful to other two, but he said it was for the part written about him, and once after he got notified about the person he favorited, excusing that it wasn't intentional this time.
So basically 2 occasions in 1 season ... not bad ... Someone's making score?

... if I look at every single thing my friends share on facebook, that I don't agree with, I would be left without friends.
But yeah, let's just all follow Nick on SM ... life is so much fun then.
ETA:
It's funny that I don't know what the whole deal is about, since I don't follow?
And I don't think anyone is saying that distasteful tweets are OK.
But if anyone wants to know Nick's opinion, maybe we should just ask him what he means with every action he takes.

I don't give either of then a pass. Or, Andi for being friends with her. And, remember, this is former nick fan speaking. One SM mistake is excusable, but three? He's 33; he doesn't need people to tell him when something is inappropriate.

This is why this has been my least favorite season. Immaturity all around.

If people don't like Nick, why bother following what he does on SM then? I would think if you would only want to follow someone on SM if you were a fan but then again, I don't follow SM at all, so what do I know. If don't like a person, the best thing is to just ignore what they do - it does not affect my life and really it's a huge time-waster IMO.

Right and a lot of people were upset because Kelly was promoting such awful words. Now, we have Nick who is following someone who is promoting such disgusting and absurd things about a couple and since Nick is following this person, he's essentially promoting those actions and apparently thinks it's okay. Where's the logic with that?

1. following someone doesn't necessarily mean you agree with everything they say.
2. how do you know he didn't dm the person to ask them to stop???

IMO, Josh and Andi are not the ones that needed to be defended in this particular thread... no no

I guess I walked into a wrong thread before.
I really try to avoid places where everything is under microscope ... it feels like you can't make one single move without someone declaring a red flag.

So far, Nick did own his actions. He explained them and justified them. Now if someone doesn't want to believe him, that's their choice. But I don't think Nick has ever shied away from discussing any matter and apologizing if necessary for something he did, if he realizes it was wrong. Like sex talk ... he apologized for indelicate words, but he didn't apologize for asking, because it was a question he needed an answer to, so he took full responsibility even denying any claim that TPTB put him up to that. Then we can argue here whether it was classless or not, but he didn't play dumb, he said it shocked him too, but he would do it again, just probably in different manner. So he practically acknowledged that the way he said it was classless.
If we want to call him up for every mistake he does ... let's do it ... but with all the cards on the table.
Then again I don't know what kind of relationships he has with all these people on SM, why is he following who, what he reads, likes, doesn't like, agrees with or not.
Like said, maybe we should ask him every time he adds a new name what's that for?
Maybe he is so full of himself, that he wants to know everything anyone ever writes about him?
Maybe he is checking out and following people he doesn't like?

I just said look at their twitter and instagram and the rest of their SM to see that yes they do have fans and people are focused on them. I enjoy them, and you don't that's okay. As Juan would say. Hehe There is room on this board for everyone! Love this board and just remember, next season you might end up on the same "team" as an opposing member from this season. Happens all the time. Smiley

I am sure it does = and I will happily root for whoever I like with whoever happens to be on the same team. It's never personal with me - different opinions are what make the world go around.... :yes:

Kelly has been roundly criticized and called a disgusting person repeatedly on this board and Andi has also been repeatedly criticized for associating with her, so to say that Nick is the only one getting flack is extremely inaccurate IMO. I think there are fans on both sides who aren't over it.

I can't find the user or tweets anymore, so I'm not sure if he deleted them or what, but, from what I remember, this wasn't a guy who had a couple of tweets about Josh/Andi/Nick and the rest was insightful, witty commentary on social issues. It was almost ALL tweets to Josh and Andi about Nick sleeping with Andi, in an incredibly vulgar, slut-shaming manner. The worst was definitely the People magazine spread that had Nick's face photoshopped over Josh's. That is SCARY stalker stuff. And, it wasn't like this guy is super popular. He has ~50 followers.

Also, I rarely follow people who I agree with 100% of what they say. For example, Sean posts a lot about his religious beliefs that I don't really agree with. People are allowed to have different opinions. BUT, the minute he posted something that was sexist, disrespectful, and vulgar, I would unfollow.

I defended Nick a lot, throughout the season and AFTR (which I still would do), but there have definitely been a few things that have given me pause. Like his friendship with JJ, who seems like a piece of work. But, I really do think this was the final straw for me.
