I refer to lots of events in my life as gameday. I totally get what momma Murray means. I think especially given her family of sports players, it's fitting. This is MHO of course. Not strange at all Smiley

Using sports analogies is extremely commonplace, even on this board, and especially for sports-minded people. And yes, Josh didn't say it, his mom did. And I'm not surprised that his family, sitting comfortably on the sidelines (sports analogy alert! Hugesmile

), already knowing the positive outcome, would equate watching this farce of a show to watching a sporting event. With the advent of all the SM, that's pretty much the way the producers present it to us anyway.

said it on Nick's fan thread too, but I would not be happy if my inlaws referred to my engagement as game day! Just saying...

Well if you're not a big sports fan you probably would not understand. Game day to them is a very big deal and DAWGNATION understands this. So I see nothing wrong with it
