But for those in a totally sports-minded family like the Murray's, "game day" makes perfect sense in that it is an exciting and special day that those who play sports look forward to. Plus, this also "hits home" with those that the Murray family are friends with, etc. IMO.

My thoughts exactly. Mama Murray is from a family that is big into sports, Gameday it is!

Josh also described their first 1:1 as a playoff game or something along those lines. Their fam is competitive, Josh is competitive, his friends are competitive posting #dawgsontop and all this stuff about the show, so it makes sense that this is how they all talk. The "prize" he got needs more tender loving care than the Beast's rose and he and his family are over the moon with her, so I don't think he's looking at Andi and the show with all the negative connotations that come along with the word "game" and him caring more about winning than the woman he "won." JMO.

As a coach, I refer to lots of important days in my life as gameday. Heck my aunt and uncle called their wedding day that and every day one of their children was born. I don't find it odd at all considering their family.
