I recall a pic of Vaughn someone posted, you could clearly see he didn't have his wedding ring on.

I'm not sure if it means anything or not.

Last night's episode was strange just because of the editing. Jason and Cortney have gotten along so well through out this whole process, so they have to create some doubt for the finale. Their body language last night was not of a couple that didn't want to stay together.

Jamie and Doug I have no doubt they stay together as well. Too many post show signs, Jamie is was too giddy and excited about the "reveal". I don't think she's all the way there yet, but I think she knows she's getting there. Again, editing to create doubt, making her look skeptical since she's been the most skeptical of them all.

Not sure what to think with Monet and Vaughn. This whole time they've been at each others throats, and then last night they seemed to actually get a long. But their body language was so off, they're always so distant. They both sat at opposite ends of the sofa, and they don't touch each other like the other two couples do. Their conversation seemed so "final" too. I'm at a toss up with these two.....

She also spent time with Doug's family on July 4th and went to his job while he was doing life guard stuff in New Jersey, but only showed his legs.

In addition to the 4th of July pics, there was also a pic of a handwritten note from Jamie on Doug's sister's IG wishing her a nice day. It was captioned something like "I have the sweetest sister-in-law". I think it was from sometime in May after they'd made their decisions.

@DrCilona Thanks Dr. C. I'm trying to understand this thru your lens as an expert, knowing how invested you are in the couples' success.

The way Jamie treats Doug is hard for me to watch. I know that everyone has issues they deal with every day, but I don't know how you can give this a fair shot in 5 weeks when you are struggling so much on a personal level. Jamie is being totally honest, upfront and open with him, but is it only about her? It was sad she couldn't think of one romantic thing she has done for him in a month.

I want to know from the experts, what the criteria was for choosing the couples. Wouldn't you need more than a desire to get married? How about a heart that is whole, healed, open and can be freely given, without making the other person pay for an unresolved past? Clearly, those are huge barriers to success, whether they are still together now or not.

I'm not trying to judge, because I have not walked in their shoes. I'm trying to understand something that makes no sense to me, from a casting standpoint...

If you look at Monet and Vaughn's Instagram pages from over the Labor Day weekend, they were not together - Monet in Martha's Vineyard and Vaughn at the beach in Maryland.

Not that they couldn't still be married, but seems pretty doubtful.

I just watched the latest episode.
It seems that Jamie and Doug are really trying to make this work, but the biggest hurdle is her trust.
Kortnee is all in, Jason is trying to be all in but he also has trust issues it turns out. I don't think I picked up on the fact that he had troubles in past relationships with cheating.
Monet and Vaughn: they just can't get on the same page as much as they say they want to. I can't see them staying together.

I agree, atem. The episode made me feel like V&M actually could have a chance, but that J&D would be divorcing. It left J&C's relationship up in the air, but Jason likely to pull the plug on it. At least, that's what the edit was seemingly leading me to think. Sooo, this episode turned the possible outcome for each couple completely around from what the previous episodes were leading me to believe. Personally, I think this is just the editing to keep the audience guessing. As you pointed out in a different post, the sleuthing indicates otherwise.

If the shows producers are just playing with us, I wish they would stop. To me the show isn't about the suspense, but more about the experiment...how do the arranged couples become actual committed couples. That's the fascinating part.

Look at the edit on C&J in the preview right after C says, I don't want a divorce. They cut to his unsure face a tiny bit late. You can actually see the beginning of a smile on J from her comment. I'm trying to be productive today or I'd take a few minutes to SC it. Bills to pay....

I agree that the producers are using some creative editing to throw us some curve balls. If they didn't, what would be the fun in watching because it would be pretty easy to know who stayed together. Every time I want to throw in the towel with Vaughn and Monet they do things that give you a glimmer of hope. Personally even though she is giving it another try as they start from square one, I think the "I was just being civil" comment from Vaughn was the death blow. you can tell during their time with the spiritual advisor that that statement hurt Monet to her core and ultimately I don't think she'll be able to get past that. I can see her asking Vaughn when they have problems..."Are you just being civil to me?". It's kinda sad because I think if they just knew how to communicate better, they'd have a good chance. Dr. Cilona even said so ,though you could tell he knows everyone seriously doubts it.

I am just about through with Jamie. If there wasn't so much sleuthing that has produced pretty tangible evidence that they're still together, I would've guessed they would get divorced. As I said in a previous post, you can't expect a relationship to fix your own personal issues. Jamie needs to deal with her past without having a man in her life. In some ways you could say Jamie doesn't truly love herself, and we all know if you don't love and accept yourself for who you are, good and bad, how in the world do you expect to love someone else and for them to love you? That's why they call it baggage, because you take it everywhere you go. If I were Doug I would say see ya and find someone with less issues who's not going to make you jump through 1,000 hoops, possibly all for nothing. Flat out..Doug deserves much better than the way he's been treated.

As for Cortney and Jason. I swear if she wasn't already married I'd go hard after Cortney. Is there anything wrong with this girl? I can't see it. She is ultra-committed to the marriage and to Jason. I told everyone on this board last week that Jason had something else bottled up inside him that had nothing to do with his mother. Now we know that he's been cheated on in the past, possibly more than once. I hate to say women are more used to being cheated on than men, but sadly its true. So when it happens to us, it absolutely crushes us mostly because we can't conceptualize that happening to us. I give Cortney all the credit in the world, she ain't shy about putting all her cards on the table and completely exposing her heart because she is truly falling in love with Jason. Even though it will be tough when he goes to the fire academy, Cortney's like...we can make it work. I just love her to death.

I ultimately believe J & C and D & J are all still married. There's just too much FB,IG evidence out there to suggest otherwise. Could the curveball be Vaughn and Monet? Clearly the editing suggests there's no way they could still be together and if you read these posts virtually no one has high hopes for them. Yet at their core I think they really do care for one another and let's not discount the obvious sexual chemistry between them. Not that that ever sustains a relationship but let me ask all you of you this. Whether it worked out or not, how many of us have ever tried to make a relationship work because the sex was a "coocoo for Cocoa Puffs" kinda good? (Raising my hand)

If you look at the twitter feeds from overnight, Jamie is getting hammered for her attitude towards Doug.
I have been completely over her since the attack on Doug went over the top.
She needs a therapist not a husband or more time on tv.

Jamie should get hammered. The guy has had the patience of Job, catered to her, given her time to adjust and she tells him..."I'm not sure I could ever fall in love with you"??? Jamie seriously needs therapy to deal with her issues otherwise she's gonna go thru the same mess with every guy she dates.

It tore my heart out when she admitted that she had not done anything romantic for Doug. She called him selfish which is the pot calling the kettle black. This has all been about HER. We never have really had a chance to get to know Doug, accept for his comedy channel on youtube & other social media.

I'm sorry, I had a rough childhood too, but does that mean that I carry that b.s. baggage everywhere I go? NO!! I dealt with it, made changes, accepted myself and married a GOOD man who was / is opposite of the abusive louse of a father I had. It pisses me off when I see her playing the victim card over and over. The only thing she is a victim of is herself and her need for fame. I actually tweeted her and told her to use the therapists for MAFS to fix herself so she would be deserving of Doug. That's how much I'm over her.
