As for Vaughn and Monet I know there's a lot of dislike for them as a couple and some of you even skip past their entire segments when you DVR the show. But IMO Vaughn & Monet are the most important couple on the show because they are experiencing the kind of real every day conflict that many couples face. To me Jamie and Cortney haven't really been challenged because they had instant chemistry. I know his Mom's health is an issue and so is their schedules but those issues don't have to do with THEM in the relationship. Jamie and Doug's issues have basically centered around her not digging him at first and her own issues about her upbringing. Vaughn and Monet's issues deal with communication, expectations, goals and personalities. I think provide an excellent lesson in what you have to do to try and make it work. Also about knowing what it is you TRULY desire in a mate and dealing with all that comes with it. Perhaps the kind of man Monet thought she wanted, an Alpha Male type, isn't going to work for her and it took this experiment for her to discover that.

Maybe Vaughn has learned that he may not be able to find a June Cleaver as I've mentioned before, but that he would be happy with a woman who has her own identity but still enjoys taking care of her man. A hybrid so to speak. All I know is I've learned much more from watching their conflict and the attempts to reconcile along with the experts help, than I have from the other two couples. Though I cannot hide my crush on Cortney. Not only is she a cutie pie, but her ultra-positive attitude and commitment to Jason and the marriage just leaves me wonderfully speechless sometimes. Plus I dig her Carolina country accent.
