If I recall correctly, Josh said, during his first 1 on 1 date, that he had not been with a woman in 5 years. That's a huge difference, imo.
Nope. He said, "It's been a long time since I've gone out with anybody." He never said he hadn't been with a woman in five years.

It means the same thing imo. However, I should have paraphrased it.

I'm pretty sure he meant exactly what he said. I do think that Josh's religious beliefs played a huge role in his decision to not go out with anyone until he found someone who could be his forever. Jmo.

IDK, his behavior in the pool with Andi didn't seem like he has a Sean-type of attitude on these things to me.

Remember Josh had already chosen Andi as his forever when he came on the Show. It has been about Josh convincing Andi that he is the right one for her. Just because they appeared rather intimate in the pool doesn't mean that they really were.

Listen to all of Josh's PI/ITM visor in the first 3 or 4 episodes and you can see that Andi was his reason for being on the Show.

I agree, he has dated casually probably had hookups etc. Just no serious girlfriend these past five years that is how I took it. Nothing wrong with this he just didn't find someone to get serious with in that time.

Yes,practically the first thing Josh said to Andi is "you"re the only reason why I'm here",implying normally he would never sign up to do the show and only did because he knew she was the Bachelorette. You also see this in his intro package, he was there specifically for her. He already knew her personality, and had to meet her.
