Please refresh my memory....in what ways did Josh make personal sacrifices for the needs of his family?  Were they sacrifices or choices?

I like Josh.  I like the Murrays. But, I will never stop rolling my eyes at the way this TV show presents the ordinary things that people go through as the greatest accomplishments and sacrifices of all time.  This is the show that presented a teenager who got knocked up as some sort of reincarnation of the Virgin Mary, after all.  

I have a feeling I'd like the real people involved way more than the 2-dimensional characters the show presents. But, I don't think TPTB are all that bright, so they think of shallower brushes and simpler story lines.  In this case, it's the one who's been hurt before getting hurt again, Nick.  And the one who was too good to be true being perfect for Andi, Josh. All my opinion obviously.  I'd gag, but I'm too busy googling video clips of Jodi and searching #teamgoldribbon on Twitter.  The hypocrite, it is me.

mia, we know that josh really supported aaron and stephanie, his brother and sister. what we didn't hear on the show is that both of their parents had cancer, his father with both lung & thyroid cancer and his mom a brain tumor i believe. so, my guess is with josh being the oldest he probably took on a lot of family responsibilities when all that was happening. it certainly explains why the siblings are all so close having both of their parents having cancer.

personally, i think andi and josh, assuming he's the F1, will be fine. yes, there will be lots of football games but it's not like josh's family is in atlanta. they are in FL. i think with a little compromise all will be well. andi was nothing but supportive of josh when she was at the HTD. the preview for that epi made it look like it was about her but it in fact was her being concerned for josh.

I think Nick brings out the softer side of Andi because he really listens to her and makes her feel heard.  He’s not pushing an agenda or defending himself and is not afraid to admit when he’s wrong (which he was in the group date).  This puts Andi at ease so she doesn’t have to argue with him like a Diva.

On the other hand, in no way do I think Nick is a push over.  He is asking for what wants (more time) in a way that does not make Andi feel like he’s calling her out or attacking her (vs. Eric calling her fake).  And in the preview he says he will not propose unless he knows he’s the only one.  So he has his limits… but is shown to be able to diffuse Andi’s high-strung personality in a way that puts her at ease…

They balance each other.

Love the bolded!  This is what I have seen too and what I have liked so much with Andi and Nick.  Similarly with Marcus, Andi was softer, more easy going and relaxed to me.  I know so many here see that with Josh, but I've seen such a more relaxed, trusting Andi having great discussions with some of the others.  In the long term, I think that's what she will need.  I totally see that she's most into Josh and don't doubt he's her choice but I've seen more of an adult relationship that I could relate to with Nick.  With Josh I feel like she's a high school girl wanting to get the great-looking quarterback because he's a prize, but also kind of blaming him that he's too great of a prize to be trusted.    

It's great if Josh can manage her, but for how long does someone want to manage someone who seems to think it's cute and funny to describe herself as a bratty diva who likes mind games?  Good luck to all after the show.

I don't know that Tampa and Atlanta are that close. They are a good eight hours apart by car.

Choices and he hasn't complained about them at all. In fact he seemed glad to have the opportunity to really get to know his brother and sister after being out of their lives for five years. It is actually one of the things I like best about him.

Miami is a good three to four hours from Tampa and two hours from Momma Murray's dad in Naples. I didn't enjoy the drive from Atlanta to Tampa, found it very boring, but it is doable. They are not close enough to not have to chose between families for holidays, but then again maybe the families will chose to combine holidays.

I just know that they are not necessarily a short weekend trip apart for all the time, it gets old making that drive. Or maybe it was just me having to make it too many times.
