If Andi doesn't pick Josh that means he most likely will be the Bachelor IMO so I'm totally cool. Plus, I'm favorite couple is still happy as calms in their marriage so if the side dish that is Josh/Andi doesn't end up happening I'll still be as happy as I was.

Oh yeah!  If Josh isn't Andi's that does mean he could be "ours" for a whole new season.  :cutesmile!:

So did Josh give Andi a gift on their fantasy date?

He wrote her a poem, which was shown in the deleted scenes during MTA. His gift for the LCD is a baseball card w/ stats about Andi/their relationship.

Josh is a sweet guy, but writing a poem, this has been done before, does this mean lack of creativity or sincerity? I think many people will disagree.
IMO, as long as they put into time, efforts and do it from their heart, that's sweet and romantic. It's the thoughts, not the gifts themselves, that truly matter.
Andi is very lucky to have Josh and Nick as her final 2.

I agree completely. Both seem like great guys. It's the love behind the gift that matters most. And from what I can see, they both loved her very much.

This is based on past precedence, which may or may not hold true to this season...

I was told that they make the lead keep F2 if they are considering them for the next lead,  to build sympathy and support for the next season. That's why Ashley not only HAD to keep Ben to the FRC, but also HAD to allow him to get down on one knee and propose. I think that decision ended up backfiring on TPTB, as there was a huge amount of backlash, but it was mostly directed at Ash, when she had no choice.

If they don't force Andi to keep Nick until the FRC to propose, it's probably because he isn't being considered for the lead next season.

I don't know if that's true. I mean, they definitely wanted Chris Lambton, but they didn't have him propose. They definitely aren't considering Nick (and probably never were), but I doubt that has anything to do with it. I think it's just how much drama there has already been. Des and Ali had to go through a really tough F3 leaving, and they just wanted Emily badly enough that they let her do anything.

i don't know but i think it's possible they are considering nick for the next bach too. i think if things go down like the US mag says there will be a lot of sympathy for him at the ATFR and that could generate interest in his being the next bach. i don't know that it would happen but i think he might be considered. jmo.

That makes sense! Maybe that's why the footage with the producer, back up footage. If he is the F2, they will see what the reaction is and add him to the list of potential bachelors.

bililo, I've already been "Brooksed" so I will be fine.  If Andi is happy with Nick as her choice, I will come around at some point just like with Des and Chris but I probably won't follow them.

I have grown to really appreciate Des and Chris.  I am still hoping that Chris comes back and the whole board except for JBF goes kaboom!  Plus, the egg on RS's face, I would be so happy!

I could care less about RS. This show is not about him. I want Andi to pick who she wants. I believe imho that man is Josh.

I'm not going to divulge my sources and I respect your right to have a difference in opinion.

This late in the game, every decision TPTB make is strategic for ratings for the next season. They call the shots on what the leads are allowed to do, including if they are allowed to send the F2 home before the FRC.

If that weren't the case, certainly every lead would send their F2 home on the LCD and save the FRC for the one they choose to continue a relationship with beyond the show. TPTB have, however, been more lenient on allowing them to send F2's home early with the female leads than the males.

TPTB didn't have Chris Lambton propose for multiple reasons:
1. He had recently lost his mother and they knew there was more than enough sympathy and support for him to be the next lead.
2. Frank was slated to be Ali's F2 that year, until he left unexpectedly.
3. Chris already knew Ali was in love with Roberto, so he didn't want to go along with the farce.
4. It was in TPTB's best interest to let Chris go early if they wanted a chance for him to be the next Bachelor.

I do agree that they let Des send Drew home before the FRC because she had such a difficult time with her F3 leaving. I think they wanted the focus to be on just Des and Chris after what happened with Brooks.

count me as another who was "brooksed". i'll be fine in time if it's nick and josh will definitely be fine as he'd be the next bach. i like josh for andi and he's a good guy but not my type. brooks is smart, sweet and incredible eye candy so that was a bit tough. mostly eye candy.

Here's the deal breaker for me- Andi calling Josh "babe". That may be the only thing I can't overlook. Everything else is subjective or could be manipulated but she said it more than once.
