How long do contestants  usuallly stay with their family after hometowns?

Don't know but as close as Josh is to his family and how anxious he was to see them, my guess is that he would not have left lickety-split out of there unless he had a very important place to be!

The stay only as long as the producers allow them to stay.   Not long is my understanding.

My guess is it would depend on flight schedules. I know that Emily didn't leave Arie's until the wee hours of the morning.
