Does anyone think that once TPTB saw how charismatic Josh was that they started pushing Andi to pick Nick so that they would have Josh for the next bachelor?  I don't even think Josh would have said yes if offered to him but TPTB can be mighty convincing.

Second questions.  Since all the talk of Nick at the AFTR and his classless statement it has been said on here that Ashley did the same thing.  I didn't watch her season so could someone update me on if the same thing happened to her or how does anyone know this for a fact?

There is no doubt in my mind at all "ZERO" doubt that Josh would have been the next bachelor had Andi not chosen him. ABC would have LOVED Josh for the next lead . without a doubt! :cutesmile!:  I love Andi and Josh together, but boy would I have loved another 8 weeks of that handsome hunk on my TV screen FOR SURE !

I at least think that the show might have hoped that Andi wouldn't have picked him so they could have him for the next season. If they proactively pushed things in that direction it wouldn't have been the first time I believe they've done something like that. But I don't think any of us will ever KNOW the real answer.

I both watched her season intently and also had some inside information on that season, and I still don't know for sure one way or another. In her book, Courtney Robertson said that Ashley did sleep with Ben and that's why Ben was so mad at the FRC. I would think that information probably came from Ben and that may be only Ben's side and a way to rationalize his anger and isn't really true. But whether true or not, neither Ben nor Ashley has said that it happened and that's IMHO the way it should always be. What happens between two consenting adults behind closed doors should remain between those two adults and behind those closed doors, and this season is a case study in why that should be true.

This is my opinion and my opinion only. Much like Emily Maynard, TPTB loved Josh and wanted him to be F2 or F3 to the next bachelor. I also think just like TPTB had no trouble poking at Emily and Brad, in what before this week was one of the most uncomfortable AFTRs ever, hoping for a break up so that Emily could eventually be their bachelorette. I think Josh is strong enough in his relationship and confidence with Andi, that they weren't going to get to him, so why not try with Nick. I felt Andi in her breakup with Nick, by not saying she just cared for Josh more, made it possible to have Nick believe it could happen. Even listening to the plane video and Nick bringing up Jason and Molly, it seemed like in the two to three days after the FRC maybe someone had been planting that idea in his ear. I am sure TPTB was happy to have Nick trying to win Andi over post FRC. And yes, TPTB took it farther this time too. We had no tape of Arie going to Charlotte, just verbal word at AFTR. We have taping of Nick in Milwaukee, we have him at the location of MTA taping, he is doing either of those things without the direct approval or set up from TPTB to make it happen. Even TPTB giving her the note. I can see Andi saying, nope I don't want to see him at the MTA, so evil little CH encourages Nick to write a note and encourages Andi to read it.

Again, I have no proof of any of this. But I think Josh would have been their dream bachelor. I also think that IF Andi and Josh broke up, that Josh would be the bachelor for the 2016 season, no problem. I don't expect Josh and Andi to break up, so please no long replies about them being good and solid, it won't happen. I have read them and don't disagree, I am simply stating if they did, TPTB would probably shout with joy and would sign Josh up as soon as they could to be the next bachelor.

stuckinsc, just wanted to say that I have read your posts throughout the season and have always appreciated how you express yourself. Your personal story always touches me when I read about it (not here, but in past posts...in other threads). Often, I find myself agreeing with you or certainly understanding where your coming from. I thought it was about time that I said that to you.  

Specifically in this post, we'll likely never know how accurate your theory is, but it seems reasonable to me.

I haven't watched any post show stuff from Andi and Josh due to lack of interest, until today. Bored and killing some time so I watched a couple interviews. I find them really uncomfortable to watch and it stems from Andi for me and feeling like she is always putting on a nice act to cover a very not nice person underneath. Specifically, in the TV Guide interview I saw, in a very short clip they had 3 disagreements in what was supposed to be a cute way I guess, about his hair and doing dishes and then he said he'd have a baby yesterday and she very snarkily retorted basically "That's because you don't have to have it. So you wouldn't have had a baby because you can't. Gotcha." I found it anything but cute and really more like she was sort of sniping at him through her plastered on fake smile. Also Andi sounded like the farthest thing from a woman anxious to start a family, despite what she might usually say and it seemed disrespectful to Josh's very open wish for a family.

Not tryting to be super negative but I genuinely wonder if it's just me and my bias because I find her so off-putting at this point or did any Josh fans see sort of a simmering b****iness under the surface with her towards Josh already in the rest of their media? And for how long would he find that to be cute banter until it just seems mean and argumentative? Like, just watching it I thought, I wouldn't be able to stand being around her for long. So argumentative and not a sweet personal at all.

Anyway, done with watching their media since it didn't help me to like them more, best of luck to Josh, hope he gets out if he's not happy or finds he's not getting what he needs from this relationship.

I love that perspectives on the same videos can be so different. I only picked up on their ease and familiarity with one another and their shared joy and humor. It was quite amazing in the face of the uncomfortable questions regarding FS that they could be so united and in love to me!

I totally agree with you and posted my thoughts as well with regards to those interviews. I caught that right away, the bantering back and forth. I personally don't care for it. I would rather see a much supportive couple, who when one says something, the other agree's and is supportive, especially in the media. I don't care for her always having a "one up on you" attitude. She made him look like a fool, not my style at all. Maybe they enjoy it.

I've said it several times, she is selfish, and is concerned about her own public perception. Josh IMO is over the moon about her, how long does a good guy put up with a selfish diva.

Reputation is a funny thing.  He's going to live with that moment as the "between the commas" for his name in the public eye until he can replace it with something else.

"Nick Viall, who spilled the secrets of the FS on live national TV, ..."

Whereas Andi and Josh will get "Andi/Josh, who found love on national TV" as their respective between the commas.

The CEO of a company I once worked for had an embroidered pillow on his office sofa that said "Living well is the best revenge". I think I'd find "found love on national TV" as the best example of living well in this case.
