Why Yikes? Josh said as much? He never loved enough to be fully committed, never had his heart broken before.

He also indicated the two girlfriends he had was prior to college so I would say this "friend" has no clue.sophienette wrote:Cecilia wrote:According to the US Weekly article, a college friend of Josh's is quoted as saying that Josh has never been in a committed relationship in his 29 years. Yikes.

It isn't to me but that's probably because I have a son that wasn't in a committed relationship until he met his wife and he was older than Josh. He just didn't feel like wasting his time with girls he knew didn't fit him. He dated one girl he met in a bar and dated her for a little while but couldn't wait to leave for grad school. He fell head over heels for his wife. So what some see as red flags doesn't really mean that others that have had relationships work any better. JMO though.Cecilia wrote:sophienette wrote:Cecilia wrote:According to the US Weekly article, a college friend of Josh's is quoted as saying that Josh has never been in a committed relationship in his 29 years. We are going to see a lot of opinions, but his family opinion says a lot about him. His mom said he has put himself last for a long time. His brother said that he has put his happiness last, that it's time for him to be happy. He probably dated, but not serious. He said, if he wasn't feeling it, there was no point in pushing and pushing. Which tells me his last girlfriend to whom, he said ILY, they pushed and pushed, but it didn't work out, he felt like there was no point in forcing.
IMO, Josh has been looking for the "one" just like he said. And Andi is the "one". I wonder who signed him up?

I didn't date much and was never in a committed relationship until I turned 25, that's when I fell and I'm happily married 7 years and counting! IMO, it makes me respect Josh even more that he chose not to enter into anything serious unless he was 100% sure. My red flag goes up when a guy has been in multiple committed relationships and they don't work out - makes me think he's just not ready to be married and I'm next in line to be dumped.

Sometimes it's nice to have experience in being in a committed relationship before you propose to someone you have probably spent 48 hours with alone. JMO of course.

Good post, everyone is different and it isn't a red flag for me either. My son after HS had a harder time finding girls to date that had the same core values as him, he's a bit old fashioned and was looking for someone wholesome, trustworthy and genuine. I am so happy at the age of 25 he has found that special someone.pander3575 wrote:It isn't to me but that's probably because I have a son that wasn't in a committed relationship until he met his wife and he was older than Josh. Same here. My husband had decided early not to waste his time, if it didn't work, he just moved on. At age 29, he saw me at a friend's house, he saw me again at a party. I was 24, we slow danced and talked. He went home and told his sister in law, he has just met the women he is going to marry, his sister in law told me when I meet her. I didn't see it at the time, But, 7 months later we were married. But, before the wedding, he sits me down " I told you before you are the one, I want you to understand, you are it for me, I am not doing this again", so if you don't see it, this is your chance to get out. 36 years now, he has not moved, he is still that rock I first meet. wild!!
This really happens a lot, I know lots of nieces and friends to whom this has happened to. The man always knows from the beginning, they don't need to be convinced by the woman, they just know, and the women follow suit. It might take the women a little be longer to see it, but eventual they catch up with the man of their dream. This is the story of Josh and Andi, DEs and Chris, JP and Ash, I don't remember Trista and Ryan
I think its easier to see with the bachelorette than the bachelor because they have 25 women to choose from, but if you look closely, you can see that one relationship that is totally different than the others, the bach lead puts that one on a pedastill for sure JP/Nicki ...

I don't see this as a red flag either. I was never in a committed relationship before marrying my husband either and we've been married almost 22 years. It's not a necessary prerequisite to have a strong, fulfilling marriage.
Not to mention, it's a tabloid you're getting this from. Not reliable!
