Weird, Josh himself talked about 2 different girlfriends he's said ILY to.Cecilia wrote:According to the US Weekly article, a college friend of Josh's is quoted as saying that Josh has never been in a committed relationship in his 29 years. Yikes.
Big: You know, Manhattan has a lot of beautiful women.
Carrie: What an amazing observation!
Big: But the thing is, after awhile, you just wanna be with the one who makes you laugh.

Which he didn't mean, because he told Andi this is the first time that he has said ILY that he actually meant it. One has admittedly been in love and heartbroken twice before, the other possibly never and never heartbroken.

I took his comment differently- that when you meet the one you want to marry , the ilys and relationships before that person "look" different in light of finding that one person. Of course I'm looking at it through a different lens since I love these two together and I'm down to agree to disagree peacefullyCecilia wrote:Alanna wrote:Weird, Josh himself talked about 2 different girlfriends he's said ILY too.Cecilia wrote:According to the US Weekly article, a college friend of Josh's is quoted as saying that Josh has never been in a committed relationship in his 29 years. That strikes me about right, actually. I'm nutty for baseball - and follow the SF Giants pretty religiously, all the way down to the Baby Giants in San Jose. It seems like these guys either have a girlfriend from high school that they marry early, or they bump along as a playa-playa, especially in low A ball. Girls are stupid in their late teens early twenties (at least of my variety) and nothing leads to more bad decisions than "I'm a baseball player" and a little bit of tequila. I love Josh and Andi to pieces, but come on? You quit baseball to start a family? You quit baseball because you were going nowhere in the sport. Good for him for using the guaranteed money to go back to college. But, yeah, 5-6 years in baseball until age 23; 4 years at UGA until 27-28; hot, built guy playing SEC football with a brother who's a star quarterback? Guessing one of the lies was on the "Have you slept with more than 20 women" question. And, maybe that was one of the things that triggered his anger on that date.
I actually see, whether it's storyboard or editing, Josh completely taken off guard for what he feels about Andi. I do think he's never felt this way before; he's so adorkable towards her. So, although he's had "girlfriends", maybe even some he's said "ILY" to, it's not a total stretch to call this his first "committed" relationship. What he's feeling towards Andi may lead to nothing, it may lead to his everything. But, I'm entertained as hell by the whole thing, and that's really all I ask of from The Bachelorette.

I think the girlfriends happened before Josh went to college during his baseball time. If this is really a college friend he may not have a clue about Josh's past relationships. I doubt Josh goes around telling his friends about his past girlfriends years ago. I imagine he dated some in college but he and Aaron said he hadn't been in a relationship in a long time.Alanna wrote:Weird, Josh himself talked about 2 different girlfriends he's said ILY to.Cecilia wrote:According to the US Weekly article, a college friend of Josh's is quoted as saying that Josh has never been in a committed relationship in his 29 years. Got to love MM, she is such helper for us here. She has been a great source of clues for us Jodi fans.Alanna wrote:IA, I think we should add it to our list of clues that we're keepingumngirl wrote:Josh left his baby, Sabel, in Tampa with his parents. Just another clue he won't be home much in the next few weeks otherwise I'd bet he could have left her with someone in Atlanta if he was only gonna be gone for the ATFR. JMO.

I just finished watching last nights' episode and could not agree with you more. Poor Nick. Andi likes him very much, for sure, but I don't see that "IT" spark between the two of them. Just kissing and emotional/sentimental chatter. And then when he pulled out the book...that was hard to watch. I just... I can't.
Josh's date was filled with laughter and fun. Andi turned into a little girl and was excited the whole time. She enjoyed seeing his potential as a father and using her FD time to make Josh happy. And again, during their romantic dinner, Andi was looking for more reassurance from Josh, which IMO, points to her knowing that she wanted Josh to be her F1 for a while now. It was just a matter of getting to the point where she she felt secure enough to let someone like Nick go.
Just in case Josh turned out to be fake.

Laudergirl wrote:I came away from last nights episode with a bad feeling, and I need reassurance from other #team Jodi fans. Did anyone else feel that Andi was far more into Nick last night than she was Josh? She couldn't keep her hands off Nick and was more relaxed during their date whereas I felt she seemed a little standoffish and uptight with Josh. I've always felt serious chemistry with her and Josh and last night, I wasn't feeling it so much (night date portion only!). My daughter watched the episode after me on DVR and said she thought Andi seemed pretty tipsy on her date with Nick, hence the touchy, feely giddy Andi.
I'd like to think Andi was just nervous and putting too much pressure on her night with Josh, but i was feeling a little worried. She does seem really into Nick! Do any of you get the same feeling?
Wow! I felt the same way after their date. So, my sister was like, oh no, that date with Josh was the best. And, when I went to the Fan thread, everybody was talking about how great that date was.
So, I took a deep breath and rewatched. Holly molly! I said to myself. How did miss the whole thing? I was really put off by her date with Nick that I failed to really enjoy Josh's date. Now, I have their dates over 5 times (probably more), and I agree, that was the best date. Hands down. I just can't get over that scene in the pool where he is riding the girl, and she is gone!! Hottt
