They had a wonderful romantic date, got chocolates that had a ribbon on the wrapping (I don't think the color would have mattered, and I doubt they even thought about the significance of yellow, Jews and Belgium; I'm Jewish and I know I didn't), and Andi probably tied it around Josh's wrist as a token, ie, we'll always remember this date. Josh has chosen to continue to wear it, probably because he is still with Andi and it reminds him of her. And maybe Andi commented when she's seen him since that she's happy he still wears the ribbon. It's just sentimental.
EXACTLY, it could have been any color it just symbolic of their date that's all...

I stick cheesy things around my wrist all the time without even thinking about any long term "ramifications" or what others might think. I don't see it as any big deal. And lots of people are sentimental in small ways, which this certainly was. He didn't get an Andi tattoo or anything, like somebody we know (oh, Kacey).

to me it doesn't make sense that they'd have that exchange where she's grilling him about "Are you good at being vulnerable?" the same day they're putting a yellow candy wrapping ribbon around his wrist to symbolize the date...both of them were quite cagey in that conversation and she seemed to still be chipping away well into dinner - it didn't have the same vibe of that sentimental "oh yay!! this is something for us to remember together down the road <3"
even in their dinner convo he's raving about the date "these dates are extraordinary..the best, the best" which makes me think something "literally phenomenal" which was big for him happened during their day (surely something more significant to him than just eating candy and exchanging candy wrapping ribbons) ...she agrees with him "you got some good dates" which sounds like them both describing the date itself - location, activities etc. (my guess is prolly something we didn't fully get to see that was a GREAT part of the date...have a hard time believing a goose parade + candy shop would be an EXTRAORDINARY date according to Josh unless something about the city or the church etc. was big for him -- remember this was before the band!)

The scene you are describing I viewed as being very chopped and edited
As for the "you get the best dates" I think that was their way of acknowledging the fact that that was one way Andi could show Josh she cares about him, giving him the best dates in the house. I think it had little to do with the exact location or activity, and more to do with helping Josh to be more secure in what they have.

From their first date the roles reversed. Josh became the lead and Andi became the girl that is vying for his heart. She's telling him how she feels. IMO it was the same way on their 2nd date. She knew that in order for him to truly open up and be vulnerable she was going to have to give him something to show him she was on the same page and that's why IMO he's walking around with a faded, tattered yellow ribbon around his wrist.

Agreed! We shouldn't forget how much we DONT see. For example: She gets roses on the HTD... no roses when they leave the Diamond!
They have a romantic moment with the sweets... no sweets in their hands.

Edited for brevity:
I know I keep going back to JP and Ashley, but it's the season I know best... we got a whole big deal about leap of faith and JP taking it while not knowing how she felt about him, up until the very last minute where we even hear them say after she says she loves him:
JP "I waited for ever to hear you say that"
Ashley "I waited for ever to tell you"
Turns out she had said it at least 2 episodes before...
Let's not take everything they say as 100% true IMO
