Everything we've seen from Nick on SM since the show has been very open and supportive of the show.
I can't imagine that he's not F1... but if he's not, it looks like the Bach adventure hasn't made him skeptical; rather opened him up to the possibilities of love...

I also think it would make loads of sense for new Bachelor ...or top Bachelor candidate... to start process by scouting locations to film intro video with the producer who is known to do storyboards. They seemed to be walking in grassy area. So yeah, I guess I could believe that Nick is Fleiss' choice and that America has short memory/will fall in love with Nick when we see him heartbroken at end.

That said, I just can't shake thinking he is Andi's choice for f1. Everything that I saw and heard from those two all season...as Mura often reminds us...screams f1. They have had such ridiculous chemistry and then some. When will she cool off with him or pull back? I am going to have to detect a change on FD but seeing that he gets secluded beach date; I just don't know.

All I can say is I can't imagine Andi would want to see Nick as next Bachelor and watch him turn all his attention, sweet gestures and passionate kisses to other women. I really think if she is with Josh now, there is part of her who will always wonder what could have been with Nick ...the guy who satisfies her on intellectual, physical and emotional level. Nobody should throw that away.

If it's b, do they have enough footage of Josh so they don't need to film him now?

I am just confused by the timing of all this potential storyboard shooting - why now???  The show is still on air and Nick is still in the F3.  That's what I am still trying to figure out.  Have RS and the plane video and SM taken all the suspense out of this show?  Really like Nick but don't want him to do the show.

Well, as Grace suggested up thread, Nick could be a candidate for Bachelor and would need to pass approval by ABC. That might mean creating his Primetime ready back story, etc. for the top ABC brass approval.

I can see Fleiss wanting Nick because of how much he immersed himself in process.

BUT... Nick is already crying over the depth of feelings that he has for Andi. How would they have him credibly transition from 1 "soul mate" great love to another? And why would they leave in line with guys saying on ep before htd that Nick would walk at F2 so he could be next Bachelor if he is indeed a candidate for next bachelor? Wtf?!

I just don't know what to think!! It's the darn magic of the Bachelor bubble ... what will Fleiss pull out of his hat next?

They did it to Des crying over Brooks and in tv time a week later she was engaged to Chris.
Go figure.

I had posted this earlier: They did not show intro's of the guys this season, due to Eric.  So--during the end of the MTN they do a recap of the F2 and their journey. They might have needed Nick film, but certainly they could have pieced together something salvageable from the footage of him during HTD etc. 
So the question remains: why was a producer in Milwaukee with Nick and filming him?

I agree.. they can turn this around but I feel sure they would announce an F2 on BIP, not AFTR so why film now? I initially thought of a little back story for the recap at MTA too. Why would they need a storyboard guy for that? And Bella? Maybe because the campaign for TB begins on MTA. If we see his backstory in the recap as a sweet guy talking to his little sister about finding the love of his life or something like that.. Nick is F2 and in the running for the next TB (IMO) If they try to also show him as a successful guy in Chicago then even more so. If we don't see anything like that in the recap, it could be a TB test, but again seems a little early for that. I suppose it could be like Chris S. handing out roses. Not sure they need more foilers if Nick is F1 though.

I'm happy it won't be Chris. He's a nice guy but I would hate living in Iowa so it doesn't have much appeal for me. Where are the details on his arrest? I've been looking around and can't find it. TIA

Wasn't just tv time of one week with Des.  The screen showed up that Brooks was in Boise Airport on April 29th or 30th, so the soonest he could have met with Des would have been April 3oth or May 1st.  Des accepted Chris proposal on May 7th?  One week in real life and tv land.  :shocked!:

Ugh! I do not want to get my hopes up about Nick being the next lead. I am already so over wanting him to be F1. He deserves better than a life of interrogation from MeAndi. I just don't see why they would leave some of those things about him playing a game and talking about the next bachelor if they were considering him. Not that I believe that was Nicks intentions but the general audience won't believe that.

Yes on Des but I was never a Brooks believer. He seemed there for experience and never really into Des. I was unspoiled thru ep 4 and totally shocked Brooks was F1 spoiled. I always saw Chris love story. He was best guy for her, gentleman and steadfast in his love. When she got a little rest, she came to her senses.

I honestly do not believe Nick was "unexpected". I don't think any of the others were in contention. I think it was Josh and Nick for a long time, but that is just MO.  So that makes this filming even stranger.

Yes, and maybe by showcasing the hot FD, they are further selling Nick as the Bachelor but still can't figure out the wonky edit earlier in the season. And still can't figure out why they are filming this now if it is Bachelor-related while the season still airs - I am starting to sound like a broken record on that one!

Yes and he said that he doesn't know why they were filming Nick. He also said that Josh proposes and MeAndi says yes to Josh and they are still together and 'happy'.
