Plus I am still curious as to why they aren't furious about the video plus why would they reward him with the gig??? If they need a Bachelor and were nervous about Chris S. legal problems, they could have gone with Marquel or found someone new or from a recent past season. I'm a big fan, but as you can tell, I really really don't want him to do it and hoping this footage is not related to being the next bachelor...

I would be shocked if Nick were The Bachelor. I also don't really want him to do it, I don't think he right for the role. I felt the same way about Reid when they were considering him.

What would be the reason he's not good for TB?  He's not good looking enough? bad edits? I think right now he is default if Chris rumors are true.  Who else is left everyone else except for Coach Brian? I think all viable candidates jumped on the BIP bandwagon.  I think Nick is redeemable.  I really like him from the beginning.  I don't dislike Josh, I actually was pro-Josh earlier but I feel that Nick is getting setup for the heart-break.  I think that a number of women find him and his "salty" nature attractive.  

For the record I really like Nick, he is actually probably tied with Reid as my favourite contestants that have been on this show. So I see everything you see.

My issues with him being the TB
1) Reasons to be TB
Why would he do it? IMO Nick does not need this show. He has a great job, great friends and great family. He should have no problem finding a great girl out of the show. So why would he do it? He does not appear to want to be in the entertainment industry (as told by friends and MO), so why: to appease his edit? Maybe, but as a lead you get thrown under the bus A LOT by fans, tabloids, TPTB themselves... I just don't see that as a reason. An experience or to "find love", maybe

2) Personality
As much as I LOVE Nick's personality, I just don't think it translates well as the Bachelor. He is EXTREMELY analytical, so he might overthink a lot of things instead of just going with the flow (ala Sean). He is skeptical, yes he has turned his corner on the show, but he still talks about this unnatural experience, even in his plane video he said he couldn't wait till all this "other stuff" is over (aka craziness as he says in his first 1-on-1). His wit and dry/sarcastic humour, IMO one of his best qualities, can come across to the general public as smug, rude or arrogant, again not helping his image.

3) His "hate" for the process
He seemed to hate everything to do with the "production" of the show. In my favourite Nick scene to date (Ep. 7) in his confessional he says "No more *bleep date cards, wondering who should go 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, target on your back crap, frontrunner bull*bleep" (or something to that effect). As he said "he was excited to never have to do a group date again, ever". Yes it will be different as TB, but you are still "producing" a show.

4) His edit
Yes I think this is a reason he shouldn't do the show. I don't completely buy the full out "villian" edit they have been giving him Episodes 5-7, but regardless look at SM, twitter, blogs etc and there are a lot of hatred spewing out of people's mouths about him. He has been labeled a "stalker", "dead behind the eyes", "murderer" and worse. I think he is handling the negatively extremely well. But it is obviously affecting him and his family as per the tweets from his brothers, dad and mom (per FB). Putting yourself through this process again as the lead, will open you and your family's life to more scrutiny and judgment.

I do not think he will be asked to be TB, I don't think the reaction from the general public warrants TPTB asking him. But in the chance he was considered I hope as a fan of him he does not accept.

I found it odd CH was sticking up for him right from the begining and posted that several times. Regardless of what the edit was showing, CH was there for him. So maybe they were waiting for fan reaction, Chris vs Nick? Hard to say.

I think Nick would be a good bachelor, for the simple reason, he seems to cry easily. They like that.   

I like his humour, I like that he goes after what he wants, and the way he has handled himself in spite of the negative comments.

I don't think that Nick's edit is bad at all for F1. He pursues Andi like a guy in love and she gave him tremendous encouragement. He is a dream come true for this season and handled himself exactly like TPTB wants to see in a contestant who makes it to f3 ... Makes star swoon, men in house sound like bunch of catty sorority girls and gives fan base something to discuss.

CH has also been kind to Nick in his blogs and saying he would do just the same as Nick. Whereas CH took every opportunity to throw Juan Pablo under bus ... a guy who did not follow TPTB rules and fell out of public favor. They piled on the hate big time possibly in an attempt to limit JP's marketability. Jason M has said that if he did not follow producer suggestions, they threatened a bad edit.

I guess this is why I think Nick could be f1 and plane video staged by production just like the scene where Nick asked front desk for key in Brussels. Staged be production! Or having flowers delivered during cocktail party in ep3. Or champagne during ep2 in courtyard. I mean come on ... Nick is their star and adding creativity & romance at every turn. The fact that the video is out there (a huge no-no spoiler before season starts) and CH, Elan still love Nick suggests to me that he did as they either asked/suggested or at very least condoned.

I think it is too early for any Bachelor filming but not too late for some footage to be added for upcoming episodes.

Nope, but much like the last UF gb to be the bachelor he is now on ESPN commentating about SEC football games. I am also not to sure that he wouldn't rather be on the version of the bachelor that JPG said could never happen.

Tim Tebow very much reminds me of our esteemed senator from South Carolina, when of those perpetual southern gentile southern bachelors, if you know what I mean?

Consider this... Des and Chris televised wedding appears to be on hold. Is it possible the delay with my beloved Chres is because Andi is ready and willing to marry in 2014 with her F1 and is more top of mind with audience?

And, it would be important for ratings that audience likes and roots for Andi & her f1 ... Nick.

So maybe I am crazy but just throwing out theories because their is a reason CH wants us all to still like Nick and give him chance. He could easily go in other direction. And it is NOT because CH has a soft spot for Nick. CH is all business.

^^ IA in regards to CH and his Nick support. It has caused me pause, as in each blog and each interview he is either defending him or praising him. This was one of the things with Brooks that made me think he wasn't FI as CH was very critical of him.

I am 95% certain Andi doesn't pick Nick (assuming she picks Josh) due to two things I cannot refute:

1. Plane video - Sorry no plane foiler believer here. Everything Nick says is very consistent with his temperment and beliefs on the show, he uses a lot of the same verbiage he uses talking to and about Andi.

2. Snapchat - Josh admitted it was his snapchat handle, and RS alluded to verifying Andi's before posting it

There are a lot of other SM clues that point to Josh as well.

I won't lie though I do have a list of the things that make me go hmmm that could point to Nick. This list grows with this new information today on the camera crew, takes me back to the last Bachelorette season.

 :alltens:  I keep saying it ... edit is not that bad, not bad at all ... what's too bad is that most people judge by the appearance and the most obvious... but even that was taken into account by TPTB, they know their forte, their game and they are the best at it.

i can't imagine nick would be the next bachelor. america fell in love with chris and his family last week. his arrest record doesn't help though. i could see nick not showing for the AFTR and them filming a segment at home of him. jmo.

Nick in social media at least has a pretty good sense of humor about himself, I just don't see him wimping out of showing up to the AFTR.

But anything is possible. This is the season of so many screwy spoilers / possible foilers. Nick possibly taping stuff to be the next bachelor would fit right in with the rest.
