I am not opposed to Nick being the Next bachelor but we need to ask the question as to why we are seeing a picture with Nick and a producer so openly like this. In past seasons, when it came to finding out who the bachelor would be, we could only guess by how they were portrayed in the season. We had no concrete evidence as to who it would be. I just feel all these things that have been openly fed to us should cause us to question a lot about this season. 2cents

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he said he would never consider it... that it didn't suit his chemistry.

What would be the reason he's not good for TB? He's not good looking enough? bad edits? I think right now he is default if Chris rumors are true. Who else is left everyone else except for Coach Brian? I think all viable candidates jumped on the BIP bandwagon. I think Nick is redeemable. I really like him from the beginning. I don't dislike Josh, I actually was pro-Josh earlier but I feel that Nick is getting setup for the heart-break. I think that a number of women find him and his "salty" nature attractive.

I found it odd CH was sticking up for him right from the begining and posted that several times. Regardless of what the edit was showing, CH was there for him. So maybe they were waiting for fan reaction, Chris vs Nick? Hard to say.

I think Nick would be a good bachelor, for the simple reason, he seems to cry easily. They like that. :yes:

I like his humour, I like that he goes after what he wants, and the way he has handled himself in spite of the negative comments.

It has been the season of loose lips though and ask and you shall receive. Look at all the SM clues which may not have been pointing to what we thought they were. Plus we got similar clues while other seasons was still airing as to whom the next lead - like during Sean's season when it was scooped that Des was the next lead (although RS was positive she was not). I just find it curious they are shooting all of this now when the season is still airing. Bet RS's head is spinning as he just posted today in his column prior to the picture being released that no way was Nick the next Bachelor.

I LOVE Nick but I do NOT want to him to be the next Bachelor. TPTB is not your friend!!
I remember his family friend said he has no interest in entertainment. Good. Stay that way please.

Why would it u go back on a show where they edited you so poorly (even if it improves)??? Plus SM has been downright mean so why subject yourself to that again. I am sorry but I am actually dreading the thought of him doing it much as I love Nick, I'd like him to stay away from TPTB after this season is over.

Unfortunately, I tend to agree with reality Steve on this one. Nick fans might see him as the next bachelor but that doesn't mean the rest of the viewing public will. I am going by what I have read on SM..... The majority of people don't like him and by the end of this will not like him enough to support him as the Bachelor, IMHO.

I know that CH mentioned in the Tv guide interview that he was curious how after the HTD dates whether people would see Nick differently or if he was just disliked in general. I don't know if the SM opinion after the finale will have enough of an upswing to accept Nick as bachelor or not. It's definitely a risk IMO.

ETA: Remember Jordyn Roses' post that she was told that Nick and Josh were in F2 but Josh was being groomed for Bachelor - maybe the names were reversed and they have been grooming Nick instead? Still initial negative edit and negative SM response towards him don't fit here.

Be careful what you wish for, they take the strengths of the prospective next and exploit those strengths into weaknesses the following season when they are the lead.

Kasha, I couldn't agree more.

Ben is my perfect example. I wanted Ashley for JP, but thought Ben other than really needing to wash his hair. Then his season of the bachelor, and he was just a complete waste and mostly a douche bag. UGH.

Nick gave them a lot to work with. His hatred of the stupid mime date, all his statements, etc. They know what buttons to push and they love to push those buttons.

I like Nick too much to trust TPTB to be kind. Honestly, except for Sean and Emily has TPTB been kind to any of their leads. I know they adored Emily, but I am still not sure what Sean did to make them happy, of course he does do everything they ask very willingly, so maybe that is it?

Nick would never be as willing as Sean to do TPTB's bidding, so I don't see them treating him well.
