I've been away from all this for a few days so I may have missed some key things. But just to be clear, is the tweet listing a bunch of guys, what makes some think Nick is taking a dig at Andi because I have to say I don't really understand why some think so. It's possible the tweet is in reference to all the horrible promos of him ABC has been running and what he knows is to come in tonight's episode and he's mentioning the guys he actually ended up being friends with and thought were genuine. I really don't see what about that tweet suggests any kind of diss against Andi.

MeAndi has commented multiple times that Nick is skeptical, that she enjoys mind games and that she'll make a believer out of him.  She clearly enjoys matching wits with Nick, especially when it isn't much of a challenge with one of her other favorites.

Nick was aware of the need for a certain amount of gamesmanship with the other contestants and handled it well.  I don't think he felt the need to play games with MeAndi.  He was mistaken.

Man I don't know if I agree with this because it makes Andi sound like a sociopath/Amy Dunne character and I have trouble getting onboard with that as I don't see her like that. In any case, this was a really interesting post and will probably spark great discussion, so kudos!

I think they both clearly do enjoy a game of matching wit - a Game of Thrones - and that the opportunity to encounter that is rare for both of them.  It's not at all a negative.  It stimulates them intellectually and is tantalizing.  They do have a surface talk understanding where simple things are said and easily understood but they also have a kind of Divici's Code that elevates the intellect.  Mind games aren't for everyone but for those who do enjoy them they are so much more fun than "go fish".

I think it's worth noting that probably no one appreciates mind games! On the other hand, I do think Andi and Nick are extremely well suited intellectually, to notaroses's point. When they were talking at dinner last episode and Andi asked Nick whether he thought he was the frontrunner... she gave him a look that told me she knew what she was asking (actually there was not a good answer to that question) ... and she let a little smile out... since he knew she had him (momentarily) trapped (damned if you do, damned if you don't). He smiled back... acknowledging the 'trap' ... but his response was perfect (he really must be a great salesman) to shift the conversation away from the word frontrunner to a discussion of how he feels. Very very impressive response... one I'm sure that Andi appreciates.

What matters to him are his true friends and family. He knows it's the Bachelor bubble, he knows you have to take the good with the bad (good: travel to beautiful places, great friendship, bad: editing, bashing) and you have to laugh at yourself sometimes. I tend to look his overall tweets to try to get the big picture and it seems he has no time for self pity or dissing. Of course it's all my opinions, we shall see.

I agree and I love his somewhat sarcastic sense of humor while still being self deprecating.

I think that whole genuine tweet is a dig at Andi. IMO. Who knows what info he is getting now.

Maybe he feels played now by not only tptb but also Andi. IMO only- Andi just dragged him along while she tried to suffer out an ily and commitment from Josh and he was never really considered as a true f1, but more like a f1 if things went south with who she really wanted. From the video, it sounds like he had no idea he wasn't the "front runner." And of course, also IMO only, he didn't really understand or witness the petulant, attention and reassurance-needing Andi and only seeing her now.

I have to agree with this, even if it wasn't entirely intentional on Andi's part. She wanted to make a believer out of Nick and she succeeded far too soon. Josh became the only game for her. If he'd held off on the ily it may have changed things. I guess that's a dig at Andi, but it seems in keeping with her personality and her own admission about liking mind games. Who says that??
Side note- Ever since Emily cornered Sean into an ily, I've wondered if the lead gets a bonus check for every ily.

I had never thought of the bonus check for getting the ILY out, but I wouldn't put it past TPTB. I figured in Emily's case it was just her enormous ego that needed it.
