I can handle Nick not being the F1. He seems content and happy. What I do hope though, is that people (the general public) eventually realize that he is a nice guy and not the guy the edit is showing them.

ITA. I am very impressed with Brian who constantly praises Nick in SM. I think that says a lot about both of them.

I'm afraid this is where his edit is going. The F2 is always being led to the point where they are convinced they are the F1. We've heard from past contestants how the producers have a hand in that as well.

That is the one part of the whole show I really dislike. I always feel so bad for that person. However it's great to see how they succeed in getting on with their life afterwards. That's why I have no problem with them taking advantage of any opportunities that come their way because of the show. Some of them deserve it because they are truly nice people.

Hey, Jen, Hook 'EM indeed. I am a lifelong Texas Longhorns fan. I also love Sharlene's blogs, because she gives a more balanced view of things, rather than some of the bloggers who are only trying to stay in good graces with TB honchos (Eonline in particular). Those so-called bloggers merely push whatever edit tptb want them to, and Nick is this season's recipient of their smear campaign.

Nick was aware of the need for a certain amount of gamesmanship with the other contestants and handled it well. I don't think he felt the need to play games with MeAndi. He was mistaken.

Man I don't know if I agree with this because it makes Andi sound like a sociopath/Amy Dunne character and I have trouble getting onboard with that as I don't see her like that. In any case, this was a really interesting post and will probably spark great discussion, so kudos!

I have been desperately trying to follow along. Between being super busy and losing interest in this season, its been tough! At this point , I still think its between Nick and Josh. I think she likes making out with Marcus and I am not sure how Chris made it to HT over Brian?? I guess they want him for the next bachelor, but I hope not.

As far as Nicks edit... I think it's a combination of a bad edit and Nick being super naive. I won't blame all on the edit though! I am still team Nick, regardless of what happens. He seems very happy and has some great friends. If the guys throw him under the bus after calling him brother in twitter, I will be disappointed.

I think they both clearly do enjoy a game of matching wit - a Game of Thrones - and that the opportunity to encounter that is rare for both of them. It's not at all a negative. It stimulates them intellectually and is tantalizing. They do have a surface talk understanding where simple things are said and easily understood but they also have a kind of Divici's Code that elevates the intellect. Mind games aren't for everyone but for those who do enjoy them they are so much more fun than "go fish".
