On Monday's (July 14) episode of "The Bachelorette," Andi Dorfman narrowed her field of men down to the final two when she sent Chris Soules, the farmer from Iowa, home before they even got to the fantasy suite. Nick Viall and Josh Murray are her last two men standing -- so how do some of the guys, Chris Harrison and Andi herself feel about the final two?

Andi Dorfman: "I feel great about my final two. Looking back, I feel a little surprised because they're so different. It's weird to see myself have strong feelings for both them, yet they're pretty opposite. Josh is the fun-loving sports guy, but Nick is the intellectual, more mature guy. Coming into it I knew what my type was and Josh fits that mold, but I came in wanting to branch out from my type and Nick epitomizes that."

Chris Soules: "I wish them both the best, especially having watched everything leading up to this. They're good guys. Nick obviously chose to handle himself differently in the house with us -- if you asked me this while we were still there, I would have said the complete opposite, Josh all the way -- but after having watched it, clearly Nick and Andi have a connection and I hope that's a real connection that he'll carry forward throughout the rest of their lives [if he wins]. I'm on the fence, I think they both have different things going for them.

"Watching the season back, I feel like Nick -- he acted a lot differently around Andi than he did with us. That's a good and bad thing, maybe. You don't really know if that's a game or if he's being somebody he's not with her, but being the house with 19 other guys, it's a tough position to be in. Some of us are strong enough to be the same person from day one to the end and that's who I was, and I think the guys I created a strong bond with were that way. And Nick wasn't. But that's a difference in how you react in a competitive environment like this."

Chris Harrison: "I think she did a great job. The final four, she couldn't have gone wrong. They're great guys. She's narrowed it down to two very different lifestyle choices. I think Josh is comfortable. He's her type, he's what she usually falls back on. And I think Nick is a change she's trying to make. I think she aspires to have that kind of relationship with a guy like that. But when it gets down to it, can she pull the trigger? We'll see."

Marcus Grodd: "I think Nick and Josh are completely different people, different personalities. I'm hopeful that Josh ends up with Andi. Not only is he one of the best friends I walked away from the show with, but I see a match with Andi and Josh. His personality is one in a million, I think the world of the guy and I think they'll make a fantastic couple if they end up together. ... Seeing those episodes with Nick definitely kept my mind on track with thinking about he is here for the show and he just wants to be on TV. He treated this as a game, honestly. I see him as a schemer."

Marquel Martin: "I will defend Nick 'til the day I die. He's one of the best people I will ever have the chance to meet. It's weird because I really felt that, and this is just a personal opinion, I feel that as a man, if you're going after someone you could potentially feel yourself marrying, why would you feel that you are second to anyone? You can't tell me that my connection with Andi isn't as strong as anyone else's and I'm not saying that to be arrogant, but I'm saying that because I was confident in who I am and I'm always going to be that way until proven otherwise. You're proven otherwise when you don't receive a rose.

"And my connection is the only one I know about, so who am I to judge another guy in how he goes after something he loves? I think that's ridiculous. I would understand if Nick made me feel like he thought himself better than me, but he treated me with nothing but respect, he was there for me through my tough times. He was amazing, he was great.
Thanks Doc.  Well we know she won't pull the trigger.

Actually I think she does pull the trigger, in that she realized that she is picking a person not a type. In her head she created this new image that she though she wanted, but it all comes down to realizing that you are picking a person that draws you in and that you realize that you can not live without. I think her heart and head match up after really giving everyone a chance and her heart and head choose Josh.

It's funny how people can watch the same show and see two different things. I like Marcus, but in all honesty, him being good friends with Josh, has clouded his judgment on Nick. Yes, it seems that many of the other guys seemed to have had problems with Nick during the taping, but they all have a better perspective after the show ended. In fact, all of those guys are now coming to Nick's defense, and are all friends. Josh seems to have few friends from these guys, I don't know if that's a negative or not.

Marquel though is spot on. We do not all act the same when we see a connection with someone. Just because Nick's route was different, doesn't mean it was wrong.

On the road, I saw the new US Weekly at Boston Logan this A.M. Has anyone reported on its contents (cover story). Basic story is that she's happy as a clam but Nick made post filiming efforts to her back (Arie anyone?). I bought it because that's the kind of online friend I am, LOL. But am scurrying from point to point so can't go line by line or scan. But it's available in NY/Boston today anyway.

I think if you look at past seasons the F1 usually isn't in a lot of contact with the others during the showing. IMO I don't think whether the guys are rallying around Josh or not is a sign he did or didn't get along with them. Guys are way more forgiving than girls. I do think Nick made friends with the guys but they sure didn't like how he acted when they all were in the same situation which even Chris has said in post interviews. I'm sure they are putting it all aside and especially if he is in the same boat they are they can all relate to each other now.

I do not like seeing this when it happens. You just never know how it came to be and what prodded them to do such a thing. Ali Reid Arie sad

I don't know about that. I would not spend all my time planning details of a wedding but rather getting to know the person better. And I cannot see Josh getting into wedding themes. I trust US Weekly over Life and Style though.
