He's an athelete so I expected that cocky/confident guy to come out. Andi also did say she likes confident guys so it's working giggling

I think my main reservation about Josh at this point is that he seems soooo hyper. That can be really exhausting for a woman. Power to her if she can handle it (assuming I am right), of course; we aren't looking for my husband, here, thank God, laugh out loud

, so all I want is for HER to be with the right person and happy.

Maybe that is what I am picking up on which is annoying, him being so hyper. I just find him to be wound up and like a one note guy. Let's see some depth if he is to be the future Mr. Andi Dorfman.

I feel the same but he may be perpetually drunk and stressed so far on the show that we've seen. He seemed normal in his intro on Hulu.

I love his energy and don't believe he is drunk AT ALL. Andi is high energy and sassy and needs a man to match her intelligence (he graduated cum laude), and enthusiasm for life.

And cum laude is always an accomplishment but especially so for a collegiate athlete who commits 20+ hrs a week to his sport.

There are many people who are intelligent who never attended college. I have been in my profession for 25+ years and successful at that. I never attended college. High school was the end of my schooling. So to say that someone needs someone to match their intelligence graduating cum laude, is IMO disrespectful to those who have perhaps not had that level of education. Education doesn't always gage what type of person they are.

Andi is high energy, and well educated, perhaps she needs someone who is a little laid back, someone who can bring her back down to earth.

I don't think Loveinterest meant to disrespect those who don't have a higher education. She probably meant it would be hard to see Andi, the ADA, to be in love with anybody who is inferior to her intelligence and ambition. I hope I interpret her meaning well enough.

wow, I'm impressed by his intelligence, I think intelligence (combined with maturity) is super sexy. That being said, I am sure a lot of the other guys are equally intelligent (or more), cum laude or not...

So agree. Nowadays many college educations are akin to what a high school education used to be. Sometimes the sheepskin won't even get you a job!
My DH is one of the smartest men I know, but he did not finish his college education. He was in school and working at the same time for a well known shipping company. The company offered him a major promotion and my DH quit school in order to grab the job. My DH retired after 36 yrs with this company after helping establish many innovations and open service to Japan, Alaska and Canada. He never finished getting his degree.
Meanwhile, I finished a 5 yr degree with "honors" in 4 yrs and chose to maintain my entire career doing basic patient care. I don't have to describe some of my duties as most would not consider them meaningful, and somewhat degrading. I however, have always loved my choice and take pride in it.
It's what we do with our life and not the letters preceding or following it that count. JMOAA
