My thoughts on the episode:

Nick - I agree with others, the date was boring and it was definitely awkward to start but I actually liked that it was both these things, because that is dating in real life. I really liked everything that Nick said, it was very refreshing and I felt he came across very genuine, modest and sensitive (as Andi commented). I really liked the flowers idea but HATED how they were delivered (I think, and am hoping that was producer driven). This episode I thought he was getting the F1 edit, in terms of being skeptical, slow-burn and their moment on the front steps etc.

Josh - His singing was hilarious actually made me like him a little more. I agree him and Andi have incredible chemistry, which seems to be instant and very quick. I haven't yet seen a meaningful or intellectual conversation with Andi yet, I am hoping it will come with the 1-on-1. I did not like how he approached the whole Andrew thing, but I really feel like it was producer induced.

Marcus - Last week I thought that he was her F1 at this point, and now this episode I don't, as I feel like Josh definitely surpassed him with the chemistry side and Nick more with the emotional/intellectual side.

JJ - His date was hilarious for the first 5 minutes then I was over it. You could tell she was not into his kisses and knew he wasn't going to be one of the final in the evening part of the date. I felt like their date was really really long.

I didn't like the "old people" date at all for many of the reasons stated here. JJ isn't one of my favorites and he got the ball rolling on the drama with Andrew. Josh seemed good in the GD but he lost me completely with his macho act. Yes he & Andi have chemistry (got to figure out a different word) but so far haven't seen anything else.

Bean, I liked Nick tonight too.  He seems like a sweet guy, albeit a little guarded.

As far as Marcus, I think he's making it easy for the producers to give him the jealous edit as he has described himself as such at least a couple of times.

With respect to the confrontation of Andrew, I think that JJ escalated it more than Josh did by what he was saying to Andrew as Andrew was climbing the stairs.  I think, as I have already indicated, Josh was trying to give Andrew an opportunity to give his account of what happened.  

Obviously nick is the dark horse in this story - growing chemistry is sometimes the best??

I agree with the bolded...in real life. In the context of this show, it puts you in the friend zone...the one whose relationship is developing more slowly=kiss of death.

What rate would you assess Chris Siegfried's rate in Des's season?? Me, I would say it went slow.

I've said this before but, MeAndi and Josh have a mutual chemistry. Des and Brooks did not. Des was all over Brooks...Brooks not so much back. It is very different. Des chased Brooks. Josh is chasing Andi and she isn't exactly running. They are giddy and giggling together.

Ben and Courtney were obvious from the start. Courtney did not get a good edit and I am starting to think that Josh may not either. Getting involved in drama that has nothing to do with him...this early...is not going to do him any favours. Similarly, they are starting to showing Andi as a drama queen so they may be perfect for one another.

Bottom line, too much too fast ESPECIALLY when they haven't had an individual date yet.  Comparing Ben and Courtney isn't fair in this case neither.  Ben and courtney had their first date epi 2, therefore had some alone time to get things started.  Not the case here.  This is a lot like someone said...Brad and Chantal.  Thinking Josh isn't F1.

I agree it seems like Josh is getting the F2 chemistry edit! I am very puzzled with his edit, to say the least! They are making it very obvious with Andi and then tonight he seemed to be fueling the drama. If he is the F1, then this will not be a typical F1 edit to me.

Yea, with the edit Josh is getting, definately not a typical F1..if he is that. I am thinking there is another F1 for sure...who, don't know right now.

Staapph ya'll no really. Staapph.   My gut feeling here is Josh isn't F1. I know evidence points to it, but remember how convinced everyone was last year about Brooks? To the point that people thought Chris and Des were not going to make it past the interviews after the show because Brooks and Des were lurvers for life! Behold, the power of spoilers. I think it jades our perspective.

The reason I'm not seeing Josh/Andi is 1) his involvement in the drama. Usually F1 is shown in not participating in drama that arises. 2) over exposure. 3) chemistry edit! I'm not necessarily rooting against them, I think they're pretty stinkin' cute (altho I don't love caveman behavior or explosive anger. Dangerous qualities to possess) but I just don't think it can be this easy. No way Jose. Who can it be? Well, my favorite at this point is Nick. And I always like the F2/F3 so its probably not him. Not Marcus....Chris maybe? Ah hell. I just talked myself into Josh again.  

ETA: I like Andi as the Bachelorette. For real. She brings interesting and intellectual conversations to the table and sure gives the guys all they can handle. I'm not so sure i'll like her after tomorrow's temper tantrum especially if its over something as stupid as its seeming to be...

yep.esp the bolded. im beginning to think that Chris and Nick's low key SM activities fit the bill more as the F1 than Marcus and Josh. Perhaps Marcus and Josh advertising this show has something to do with one being groomed as next TB and the other one as BIP contestant  :greenman: . Though im aware that Nick's low profile on SM prolly due to the video-leak as well.

Considering your post and the fact we don't have absolute proof of RS's spoiler, is it at all possible to entertain the thought that Josh may not actually be the F1, but rather the F3? I am and have thought for a while that we may be facing a goose chase again with the spoilers and Chris and Nick could be the F2. I don't have a clue as to who the F1 is though between them.

IMO, there isn't really anything that Chris and Josh have in common. Chris Siegfried handled the season completely different. He stayed out of the fray but Josh has seemed to enjoy jumping in with both feet!

Just a different take on it: I have to laugh. For the first time I had both DH and Dear Step-son (24 years old) watching with me. I told them their ground rules were absolutely no commentary at all. They tried to control themselves.

We got thru Nick's date without much chatter probably cuz it was boring as hell. The B2M date appalled them both at how bad the guys voices were. They had to debate whether the bad voices were an act. Then poor JJ, they couldn't get over the "Pantsapreneur" title. They found it beyond amusing. But overall so far so good. They had kept their comments to a minimum.

The bad part came when JJ called Josh outisde to discuss Andrew. DH yelled, "SNITCH!" DS agreed. I was like, "Don't you think they are trying to protect her from a player?" They both said, NO! They felt who cares if some waitress gave the guy her phone number. Big deal. DS even said that if he was Andi he'd like the fact that another woman found the guy attractive enough to offer her phone number! They couldn't believe Josh's reaction. It wasn't his business, he hadn't witnessed it, he should stay out of it. And then he had to go and say, "I'm a grown ass man". (Why Josh, why?) That was pretty much the kiss of death for Josh as far as they were concerned. DH also pointed out that the guys making the stink already had roses ao why?

Very intreresting to see it from a different perspectve, They said lots more but I've bored y'all enough!
