Now if Clare is not F1 would be a good lead. She has the drama angle down pat and she seems to have the quality to get her flirt on - MFs dream casting.

I like Renee but i won't be watching if she's the bachelorette. I'm not that fond of Clare but she would be good as bachelorette if she's not F1. I have my fav contestants but i don't necessarily want them to be the lead. Andi would be a good lead. She has spunk, intelligent, likes to be in control. I want to see how she would handle 25 men.

A few random thoughts before tonight's FDs...

The episode description for Clare's date says...

Juan Pablo’s Caribbean adventure begins as he meets Clare at a local fishing port. They cruise in a small boat along the coast toward the Pitons, two massive remnants of volcanic domes. But as the couple boards a yacht before they reach their destination, Clare brings up his awkward hometown visit and her family’s attempt to sabotage their relationship. Will those bizarre events affect their possible future together? They meet later for an intimate dinner where they discuss that future and the importance of Juan Pablo’s daughter, Camila. But when the Bachelor brings up a night in the fantasy suite, Clare suddenly has second thoughts. Will he be able to convince her to accept the invitation or will she decide the timing is all wrong?

In light of oceangate, doesn't it seem ironic now that it's okay for Juan to invite Clare to stay the night? What will Camila think?
How does Juan reconcile this? In some ways, it makes me wonder if the the whole Vietnam issue was producer driven...something that others have suggested previously.

Can wait to see Juan get around this issue tonight!  

Secondly, while I have been diligently making caps for JBF ( & holy smokes JBF ,the BL caps are unreal! I'll have to pare down my number before I post) I came across this tidbit. How come we get this sentiment said to Nikki by her dad? Didn't CH make a point to say in the first (or second) episode in a VO over Nikki that the bachelorette would be free to decline. Why again? Things that make me go hmmm....

So throwing out some wild speculation...to tie into Auntie_Love's post, maybe Nikki does do some hard thinking. In light of what has happened to Andi, Nikki pulls the plug and tells Juan she is done.     That could account for lack of caps.   :hidingchair

That would be really interesting to see. If she put on her thinking cap she would realize that something went badly wrong with her friend.

I don't know if they're hiding it or it's just her temperament but she gives me no sign she feels anything for JP.  From him I see it.  From her I see her reciting all the right things to say, but I don't hear caring in her voice it sounds like reading lines to me (not her content, just the way she says things about her feelings totally lacks any feeling).  I just can't get a feeling from her like she actually is falling in love with him.  I just don't see that.  I see her following through on the expectations of each stage of the show.

We have a pic (yellow swim trunks) that looks like Nikki and doesn't seem like it fits with Clare's possible LCD plus we have Nikki in a different dress crying in a room. I'd say the odds are very good that both get a LCD. I can't imagine it's going to be the same ending 2 seasons in a row. We haven't seen any hint of that and you know they'd milk it for all it's worth.

That was what I was thinking also. Unless they will not be "leading" to the finale in all their promos etc.

I couldn't agree more. If there was more shenanigans during the finale then we would had some inkling of it by now.

I couldn't agree more. If there was more shenanigans during the finale then we would had some inkling of it by now.

Regardless of whether we do or don't have a full LCD for Nikki, don't you find it an odd coincidence that twice now she has been connected to two similar statements? Important? Maybe not, but it could also be cluing us into something significant. I just thought I'd point it out for the board to consider, that's all.

Harrison said they have never had this outcome before. F3 has quit before, so it isn't about tonight. No proposal has happened before. F2 rejecting bachelor hasn't happened before.

With Clare hanging with the gals last weekend, and Jef Holm hanging around with them and trash talking to US Weekly just now (must read, even though I think he's a giant BS artist -- he is echoing what he heard from the WTA Crowd), I think Clare may have walked away.

And he and Nikki tried to make a Happy Day of It?

Or maybe vice versa, as I know the frequent posters think Clare should end up with JP (I think she may walk, based upon the Fantasy Date press release). Why would we assume she wants him.

That resolves your debate about her handling of the press conference. She was intended F1, but walked BEFORE FRC. Think about it.
