A lot can be said about “stats" and patterns from previous seasons but there is a different variable present this season...an uncooperative lead. He has stated all along that he gives the roses as reassurance and what better way to reassure the one you "like" the most than to give her the 1st available rose at each ceremony?
It may be true that f2 usually gets the 1st rose at the FD rose ceremony but that screams producer manipulation to me. How else can you explain the likelihood of EVERY lead, for however many seasons, giving their favourite the 2nd rose? Personally, I think that's done to give the F2 false security in their "connection" going into the finale. I can hear it now...See? He/she must really like/love you because they gave you the first rose and, this late in the game, that's the most important.
As has been evident by the bus stalling out on top of JPab, I think he refused to play their games and did what he wanted and, IMO, that was give Nikki roses to reassure her.

The deleted scene was from Nikki's Miami 1 on 1 where Juan Pablo gives her a Venezuelan hat. But I can't see him posting that particular scene if Clare was his F1. Yes, it was probably a statement of solidarity for Venezuela, but I think it was also a shout out to Nikki as well.

Again, this is just a political shoutout to Venezuela, that's it, that's all. He has even tied it to Venezuela EVERY time he posted it. NOTHING else.

To me that video is used completely for political reasons and nothing else.

So why pick the one featuring NIKKI in it ?
Do you really believe he would do that if Clare was F1 ? Especially knowing Clare's possessivity ...  

I have a view on this and I am NOT alone in that view. Mine should be valued as anyone elses here. bottom line, if he gave Clare a Venezualean hat.....her video would of been highlighted no matter whether she was F1 or not. Have you all not been paying attention to his twitter or just the tweets that could, possibly, remotely(majorly remotely) involve Nikki.

I see it as a shout out to his country and to Nikki. IMO just because he's only referenced it in regards to his country doesn't mean that's it. He wouldn't directly make a shout out to Nikki and the show hasn't finished airing yet. I'm not sure if someone asked this already, but are there other videos out there he could have posted about his country? Just curious.

So okay to add to the discussion….go back and watch Nikki and JP's FD beach conversation….JP is talking about her dad's comment 100% and right when JP says you're not 100% a heart beat in the backgrounds starts and then it ends when Nikki's "I pull back".   JMO but this ties this season back to Nikki's limo entrance and the beating of her heart and how nervous she is.   What does this little editing mean? I don't know but someone had to add it this scene.    Since I edit videos (for fun) I ask myself why would I put a extra track of a heart beat (start and finish) exactly at that spot in this particular scene.  My thought is to highlight her nerves and bring attention to her nerves….that she isn't as confident as she seems and she should be nervous….or that JP will not be 100% sure.  Any takers to add to the speculation?
