I think the "contender" is Andi going to see him after their FD. The fact she has issues she needs to discuss with JP would be considered "explosive". The preview shows her being fairly direct with him.

Andi's line of not be able to "get out of there fast enough" has me curious, to say the least.

I agree. It is one of the existing F3 girls and from the preview most likely Andi.

^^Throwing out a possibility, up to now Andi has had limited time with Juan. In an earlier episode, she admitted that their connection was mostly physical and fun. The alone time she had with him in NZ was "active"...not lending itself to an in-depth conversation. The evening time was interrupted by the geyser. In Miami, their alone time involved dancing.

So up to this point, there hasn't seemed to be time for Andi to discover if she had a more intellectual/emotional connection with him. Maybe that fact that she couldn't wait to get out of the fantasy suite had nothing to do with sex, but realized after a few hours, they weren't compatible...she was bored to death...that they were looking for different things in life...and who knows, maybe the carrot of The Bachelorette was being waved in front of her, tempting her to give the performance TPTB needed/wanted? All speculations...just trying to show it might not have been about sex at all.

Btw, I'm starting to make some caps...I'll be posting after I get through the episode.

I think it's Chelsie! Note CH post about Juan doing the Mesnick after he let Chelsie go. I thought the same thing. As soon as he gave Rene the rose, he start crying as though realizing he made a mistake. I know Chelsea is younger so she is being dismissed but there were too red flag. Why would MF leave the statement by Claire "huge mistake" when Chelsea didn't receive the rose. Also, chelsea posted a photo of her and Juan on the last group date. In addition, she also retwitted the second M&M commercial with Juan (hidden in the next room, can hear her voice).
I could be off, but I can't shake the idea of Chelsie and Juan. My question is why is the world is Juan doing a M&M with Chelsea if he didn't chose her? Can you imaging what his F1 Claire, Nikki, or Andi would say? why not use the woman you will marry or F1. JMO

Renee's teleconference press interview mentioned that Chelsie and JP were thick as thieves laughing and laughing all the time. I think they were really attached and comfortable, but with no F1 potential, and probably he decided to let Renee have the HTD. So many things are in the mix -- families who have been busy at this point making plans for potential visits -- in the deleted scene for this week, Renee and JP are sitting on the sea plane, and he asks whether her son will be a part of the visit. And she responds clearly that he will, it will be fun for him, etc. I think he decided to take her one more week over Chelsie because of the kid factor. Kid had his hopes raised already, no doubt. By that part of filming, production is advancing potential HTD activities with the families.

These screen caps appear to go together. I think this is when Clare says, "I want to talk to you." The sofa sort of matches the sofa that Sharleen was sitting on when she told Juan Pablo she was leaving...so I was thinking this could be at the Miami RC after HTDs. Notice Nikki is sitting on a similar sofa, but different items on the sofa table. Also...why does Clare end up in a bedroom????

Or is this St Lucia instead? Did Nikki interrupt Clare's date or was it vice versa? Is it even a date? Is it the F3 RC? Is Nikki upset because she found out Clare is staying...or she thinks/fears Clare is going to "narc" on her? I'm sooo confused, but finally, we have some fresh caps to dissect. More questions: why do we have two separate times of Nikki crying? Could the white dress be the Miami RC? And the red orange dress be in St. Lucia? Certainly the background makes it look that way. Is Renee's sparkly dress from her HTD? Notice Juan has on a black shirt, but above he has on a blue shirt. Renee looks like she's crying. She also saying she's never felt this way before...so I'm thinking this is her HTD. I put a strike through my speculation that I really don't think is true.

So, what do you guys think is happening?

My guesses:

Top SCs: St Lucia, LCDs both women are emotional about what is ahead of them.

Middle SC: Renee, after she didn't get a rose F4 RC

Bottom SC: Nikki at F3 RC

Good point!! I find it really curious that he took Renee to F4 and involved son; esp when he said that as soon as he knew she was not the one, he'd let her go back to Ben. Juan Pablo either 1) truly considers Renee a top contender or 2) Renee going to F4 is producer influenced and she is going along in hopes of garnering enough fan support to be next Bachelorette.

Another thing to consider: Juan Pablo said that Sharleen was getting a hometown date so that must mean someone other than Renee was on chopping block. Who would that be: Clare? Andi? I doubt Nikki due to Camilla.  

I could also easily be convinced that Sharleen was a producer plant all along. Her wardrobe was better than any contestant I've seen on this show in 18 seasons ... and any Bachelorette. She either has impeccable taste or worked with an ABC (or her own) stylist ... or both.

Is it just me or does this season seem a bit "off"?

Litta- can you do a screencap of Juan Pablo and Clare, Chelsie, Renee, Andi in the seaplane. I caught the fact that clare was sitting next to Juan Pablo but he wasn't reaching his hand out to her. I think he was trying to reach either Andi or Chelsie both of whom was in the back. I think most likely he was trying to get Andi to hold his hand and Chelsie just happened to have held it instead.

Actually, I think Juan Pablo was holding both Andi and Chelsie's hand in one of his...and then Renee and Clare's hand with the other. Either that or Renee was copping a feel...and Clare's enjoying it.
