Well I'm on the side with Nikki and here's why.
I haven't seen Nikki go up and confront Clare at anytime
Sure you have to be careful of the edit, even with the edit it doesn't change that when the girls arrive they called Nikki down.
No matter what we did see with the argument, Nikki left and went to her room and Clare followed her with intent to keep it going.
I think she did right not carry on a conversation with someone she doesn't like and clearly doesn't like her, wouldn't that be fake since they just had an argument.
It was Clare that made the nasty remark at the RC, did Nikki reply, no.
We only heard negative things from Nikki in PI's and I wouldn't say they were all negative but the truth.

and lastly, not carrying on a conversation with people doen't make you socially awkward or snotty, some people are just quiet.

Yep! the only one. My daughter noticed that and she doesn't watch this show. We watch this episode and last week with me, she noticed the whispering too.

I never saw Nikki being catty on this show. She's more to the point. What you see is what you get, whether you like it or not. I don't see her engaging in being two faced. Clare and the others seemed to be getting into a resentful and gossipy mode, you know, the type of girls who cannot handle their jealousy anymore. Some pretend that they are "concerned" about this or that when in reality it's camouflaged jealousy.

I think it's a difficult situation to be vying for the same guy. Some people become petty, others walk away. I saw Nikki walking away.
She removed herself from a sticky situation (took the high road, not wanting to be part of it), and Clare wanted to make Nikki look bad.
It's the pot calling the cattle black.

ITA. Nikki didn't say anything in her PI's that she wouldn't have said to Clare's face, esp. the one about Clare peeing on JP to mark her territory. It was an analogy to get her point across. She saw Clare as very possessive and manipulative; both traits came across loud and clear to the viewers.
Seriously, when some of the women start telling JP who to pick, or what HE should do, he should run from them ASAP. You don't want to be EVER be married to that.

Ariela I have to beg the differ with the highlighted…Nikki spoke in a PI about Clare being crazy and cut her family down when she doesn't even know Clare's family. I don't think Nikki would have said that to Clare's face….well wait let me re think that one……will maybe she would…but snarky humorous way? I am disappointed in both women and not taking a higher ground when you are in this type of situation. But I keep reminding myself that I wasn't there and the edit is trying to tell us a story. I remember Nikki saying in like episode 2 or 3 when she didn't get a 1:1 that she stated that she had to spend all this time with a bunch of women she can't stand. Do you think that was her sense of humor coming out or being a brat?

In the past season we seem to form into camps or groups (I do see Nikki vs. Clare emerging), but even with that I don't see strong alliances on the boards. I think the reason we are all over the place is that the women who are left (F4) may not be a good match to JP if taken individually, but if you put them all together, it would be the perfect package. Note the following is IMHO and my reaction to the edits I see:

1. Nikki - Albeit very loving to children, has a good profession, and will be good for Camilla (and I see JP very attracted to her), still has some growing up to do. Let me explain... she does not yet know how to gracefully handle conflicts (most especially with people she doesn't like, e.g. Clare). I think that having an ex-wife around who is very involved may put the "conflict-resolution" very much into practice in the near future. So, if Nikki has the political correctnes of Renee she would be my front runner for JP. Conversely, I think JP and Nikki are on the same maturity level so the conversations are easier to watch. Except she's gotta do something about that hair.

2. Clare - I like her honesty and obviously she has very comfortable conversations with JP - like they are on the same wavelength. But her edit is just too catty and insecure and I think that will not work with a very present "ex" around. I hate to say this, but she may need to resolve some personal issues first, before she can be happy with anyone.

3. Andi - sorry like Sharleen I don't see the cerebral connection. May not be a priority at this point in her life but women like her I think will need that connection in the real world. Maybe it's the language barrier, whatever it is I don't think I see them connecting beyond the physical.

4. Renee - has the poise and personality that JP needs for a relationship to work out for the long term. Unfortunately, I don't see the visceral connection, I think JP is just not that into her.

Suffice it to say, I think our present bachelor is looking for the - beautiful, sexy, worldly, intelligent, caring, strong, career-type, and yet a motherly-type who will drop everything for him. Hmmm, I'm sure if she exists she's taken. My 2 cents - this is the vibe I'm getting from our bachelor this season. I am not going to bet my car that he will have a lasting relationship with the one to whom he will give the final rose.

I'll answer that one, neither, she was being honest. She said it when going on the group date in Korea, doing an activity she admitted she wasn't good at with girls she wasn't especially friendly with (Elise, Chelsie, Cassandra and Kat. All of them dislike her based on what was shown in the edit ( words and facial expressions) with the possible exception of Kat. The ladies formed friendships, even Courtney as disliked as she was by some during her season, had friends. I would say that nonfriendships were encouraged by tptb. Without the drama, real or otherwise, the show would be even more boring than it is.

I thought Nikki was being snarky. She laughs when she says it. She doesn't seem serious. I can see where some may see it a bratty. I don't. I guess it depends on your sense of humor. Sarcasm* is my middle name ;) so I see it as snarky. I actually don't think that Nikki is taking this seriously. She seems to be living in a competitive mode. That's my impression.

Clare seems very serious and emotional. She seems infatuated with JP all the way.

Good question. First off, to not leave a conversation, saying something like, "this is stupid." I realize that this can be perceived as honesty, but most often this type of behavior can excacerbate conflict. This is one of those moments when silence would be welcome. Another way would be to deliver a difficult message without being perceived as disrespectful, e.g. a style that is often employed is to wrap a difficult message around positive feedback. It's just learning how to argue to get positive results, similar to celebrity-coaching on what to say around the media, if you don't have anything good to say, say "no comment." So I think if Nikki can be a little more diplomatic she would easily make friends in a "The Bachelor" type of environment. My thoughts.
