Sean and Catherine Lowe - General Discussion

So I apologize because this is off topic but last night's train wreck really fascinated me! I was like Catherine! I was very confused. What was the guy really doing. I found this interesting interview that CH did that gives his thoughts about what he thinks was really happening.

So many in the JPab forums are blaming all of it on Sean, Catherine and CH. Jillian has even written a blog where she blames all the drama on them and says they were all so wrong. Interesting that our friend Chloe posted tweets from Jillian last night where she praised Catherine, but I guess in the light of day she decided to go in the other direction! Non of them seem to get what they were trying to say even though Sean very succinctly tweeted his exact thoughts. Ok just posting link -read if you are interested.

I'm so glad you posted this. I thought Jillian sent a tweet to Cat and then I read her article which was completely different then what she tweeted to Cat. I tried finding that tweet but she has since deleted it.

I'm so glad you posted this.  I thought Jillian sent a tweet to Cat and then I read her article which was completely different then what she tweeted to Cat.  I tried finding that tweet but she has since deleted it.

This too shall pass. Thanks for the recap lipsis and Mo5 for the link. All these guys now backpeddling are hypocrites. But to each his own. I am so glad I am not a fan of this show....too many double standards everywhere.

If you unwrap the package of what happened it's really simple to me.
Juan Pablo was a man scorned in his mind by the program throwing him under the bus for his unfortunate rude comments.
He was out to stick it to CH and the program by hinting he had a big surprise ending and he left CH hanging on purpose regardless of how it made Nicky feel ( I call that spite)
Nicky had no choice but to save face for now and "stick by her (man, questionable)
Catherine and Sean who found love, marriage and also friends on the production side of the staff hated to see the process that did bring love to them and a few others demeaned in that fashion.
Catherine rightly said to Juan Pablo in effect, you don't have to profess love but undermining the program and CH is biting the hand that fed you.
Good for her and Sean. Honest, real, emotional!

They looked great and were so natural on E news with the little they were given to do

Great article lovebites, thank you so much for posting it. I really enjoyed the clip included of Sean and Catherine from last night's E news. It just emphasized my own take on the situation in that studio ATFR. whew!

Hi lovebites! Was wondering where you've been.   Thanks for posting this. I agree with everything Trista said here and loved the SeanCat clip too. Luckily this will all pass soon as the focus will instead be on Andi as the new Bachelorette.

Smartcat, well stated. I thought all along it was his rudeness and general attitude ,and not if he fell in love, or proposed .( Cultural differences and ESL is not an acceptable excuse for rudeness ).

I read Jillian's article.... the only real shot she took at Sean and Catherine was their statement about not being able to be "private" after the show airs saying that they've chosen to not be private while others have made a different choice.... and then she cited Jason and Molly as an example. Really? Yes, they faded out for awhile.... but they were, effectively, a couple dating, long distance, once the showed aired- and then they had a very public wedding and could hardly be considered to be out of the public eye since. So her example falls short.

JuanPa can't even keep himself private since he's posted his own video and tweets. Yes, he's in control of the information stream, but he's not private. And those paps will find him in Miami without question.

I think this couple is shining very brightly right now, because everyone can see the difference from last season to this season. Sean and Catherine exemplify true love and a real genuineness that we have not seen this season with Juan Pablo.

I know people fault them for speaking up, and for taking the side of The Bachelor and ABC. But I see it as two people who know that the process works if you let it. I also think that Sean was having a tough time seeing Juan Pablo being so disrespectful to not only Chris Harrison, but to Nikki as well. You could see it on his face. And I think especially after watching Clare talk about how she felt offended, and then Juan Pablo comes out and won't say how he feels about Nikki, which is all anyone wanted. It didn't have to be a declaration of love necessarily, but how does he feel? Saying he feels great is not talking about feelings. Saying she is special, means so much to me, etc., things like that would have shown him and their relationship in a different light. Instead, nobody sees anything between them, and it just shines a brighter light on Sean and Catherine, the fairytale love story from this franchise that all of us love so much. Their light is shining brighter than ever, and I'm so proud to be a fan of this wonderful couple.
