Just a little background. Skip it if it bored you laugh out loud. Blake was a contestant on AshleyHs season. Slightly pompus Dentist. Holly was on Matt Grants season and was famous for having dating Jesse C and later Michael Stagliano from Jillians season. They broke up (Mike) and both were on Bachelor Pad together with Blake. Blake and Holly literally had spark flying from the moment they met. However, since Mike was also on the show it was super awkward as Mike basically wanted Holly back. Mike and Holly also decided to pair up for the winning of the money. During the process of Bachelor Pad, Blake and Holly went on a date together and fell hard for each other. So it got more awkward (with Holly playing with Mike while simultaneously in love with Blake) as the season progressed till Blake was voted of Bachelor Pad. Holly and Mike ended up winning BP that season. However prior to their final challenge, tptb showed a video to the "loosing" contestants and viewers that showed Blake proposing to Holly in the time since the season ended and the finale was filmed (live). Mike was completely hoodwinked.

So Yes, Blake and Holly's engagement was "sanctioned" and filmed  by tptb then aired during that finale. Not like the scenario you described at all. But to the question of if a couple had ever got engaged prior to the finale then Blake and Holly did. They got married and appear to live happily ever after  Hugesmile.

BTW I am of the opinion that there is no way that JP and his f1 will get engaged or do anything that Fleiss & Co would consider slightly air-worthy without it being captured on film. Think Jason and Melissa. Despite being already done they manufactured that whole drama for ratings and forced Jasons hand asking for Molly on the spot.
Also if they are kaput - the gory details will be wrung out of them for all of us to see. Here Brad and Emily come to mind.

JP either way should be smart like Travis S and refuse to be paraded. JMO.

Thanks for the info! I didn't watch any of this. I was thinking without the knowledge of TPTB but I suppose they (if there is one) would be too closely supervised to make a cute video unbeknownst to production. I would love THAT surprise
It would be authentic and hard to slander. I'm starting to feel nauseated by the demeaning edit and press. A no pick or break up will just keep the fires burning.

It was from BP2.

I too would love to see a "private" video that is more authentic as well if the couple are on a great footing. If not, I would prefer that they just breakup and do a standard celebrity press release like 'we are no longer together and would like folks to respect our privacy' kind of thing.

Skip the ATFR guys.

Just my thoughts, I hope that JP is a strong man and he sails through all this and comes out the better for it. I do strongly suspect that he will have more nails and daggers coming up in the next couple of weeks as well i.e. they are not done with him yet. Poor guy.

Juan's commentary on the final two. Stuff that stands out for me, either for or against each contestant, are underlined.

Before making a big hoopty-doo about WHICH lady gets more material posted on her date, first read through to determine HOW MUCH is about HER and how much is about THE DATE ITSELF.

No mention of Nikki.

Some people may think that Clare was crazy to come out with a pregnant belly, but I LOVED it. When I saw her step out, I was like, "OMG" but after a second and seeing that kind of weird shape on her belly, I was like, "Ohhh, good one ..."

For Clare's date, we decided to create a winter wonderland, complete with snow, ice skating and sledding, even though we were in sunny Los Angeles. Before taking Clare, I decided to spend some time and surprise Camila. She hadn't seen snow since she was 10 months old, so I wanted to see her face during this experience. She loved it, and watching Camila see the snow and ice skate is something I won't forget. (Note how he makes a point to remind us that BOTH Camilla and Clare shared in The Experience of this date.)

I knew the winter wonderland was going to be a shock to Clare, but I love surprising people. When I'm in a relationship, I always find ways to surprise my girlfriend. Being El Bachelor, I get to surprise all these women, and this one with Clare I really believed was a good one. In the car ride over, she kept asking me a million times what we were doing, and she even got a little nauseous. I remember when I carried her on my back, and as soon as I stepped on the snow she had an idea of what it was, but it wasn't until I took the blindfold off that she was certain. Seeing her that happy and excited definitely made me smile.

We had a blast playing around in the snow. Ice skating with Clare was great, and we went sledding a couple of times. We made a bet on the race. Whoever lost had to give the winner a massage. I won the first race, but Clare wanted a rematch. We did a double or nothing, and I won again. So I decided to get one of the massages that night and save the other one for another time.

It was nice to get into that hot tub when it was so cold around us. When Clare opened up about her dad, it really got to me. As a father myself, I want Camila to look to me one day like that. It seems like Clare's been struggling ever since her father's death. She even calls herself the Ice Queen. Maybe one day I will help melt that icy heart of hers. All I know for sure is that we were having a fantastic date together, and it got even better when Josh Krajcik started playing. He's an amazing singer, and to finish the night like that, dancing in the snow … perfect. I really loved my first one-on-one date.

My night was going great. I was having a really great conversation with Nikki when Victoria came around the corner and looked and sounded drunk.

No mention of either Nikki or Clare

The girls got to the studio, and 2NE1 was waiting there for us. They were going to teach us choreography to one of their biggest songs. Nikki and Danielle were very nervous because of their dancing skills, but I was there to have a good time and see how the girls handled being in or out of their comfort zones.

The biggest surprise wasn't just practicing, it was when 2NE1 told Mis Niñas that we were going to be the backup dancers at a concert they were performing that night. The girls died – some from excitement (Cassandra and Kat), while some were simply scared (Danielle and Nikki).

(snip)

I gave the rose to Nikki because I wanted to make her feel more comfortable when it came to opening up to me.

In the streets, we tried some food and stopped at this little place for some spicy octopus. It was really hard to convince Clare to try it, but in the end, she put it in her mouth. It lasted for five seconds before she took it out and didn't eat it.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The next day I decided to take nine women on a group date, leaving Nikki for my last one-on-one date in Vietnam. We had five circular bamboo boats and there were nine women. I knew one of the women would end up riding with me, so I tried to be as fair as possible and ask them to each pick a partner. One woman, Clare, was left out and she got to ride with me.

I lasted one minute with my shirt on. It was so hot and I didn't want it soaking wet. Clare and I did pretty well. Sharleen definitely had the best technique but the funniest couple to see was Andi and Kat – they were horrible! Jajajaja.

The wind was blowing and it was hard to control the boat. While we were stuck, we saw a dead fish and I tried to grab it but it was so slippery. Clare was disgusted by the dead fish but she surprised me by saying she would get it – and she actually did. It was a great move, so I gave her some sneaky besitos (kisses). I like being sneaky.

(snip)

After the party I was relaxing in my room, watching baseball when someone knocked on my door. It was Clare. She came to thank me for the great day and she wanted to jump in the ocean for the first time with me. She was so happy that I didn't want to reject her, but I definitely made a mistake. I still think The Mistake is being filmed going into the ocean at night and her daughter potentially seeing it... and "being fair" with the other ladies.)

(snip)

At the cocktail party, I really wanted to tell Clare how I felt about our crazy night. Chris Harrison asked me why I didn't wait couple of days to tell her my thoughts, and I told him I like to address things very quickly and to be straightforward. I wanted Clare to know me better and what exactly my thoughts were. I also told Clare that sometimes I make mistakes. I thought it was better to tell her with a rose in her hand than later when she did not have a rose.

The next day, I had my last date in Vietnam with Nikki. I decided to take her to Marble Mountain and explore. We walked up the mountain, saw many statues and different arches and temples on the way – it was so pretty. I wanted to kiss her – we barely did in Korea, so I wanted to have a special moment with her. Unfortunately, you never got to see it because I decided to sneak a great kiss behind a wall. Like I said, I like being sneaky.

Then we got to the top of mountain and I showed her Hell Cave below. That's when I told Nikki I had a surprise for her. I wanted to go explore this Hell Cave but I didn't wanted to go the easy way down, so I decided to rappel down into Hell. Nikki was so scared that I thought she was not going to do it, but I talked her into it. The cave was very, very creepy. There were dead people statutes all over the place.

For dinner we went to a less scary cave and got way more comfortable. My conversation with Nikki was fantastic! She is very honest and open about saying things that she likes and things that she does not. She told me about how she gets cranky and also about her true passion. I really loved that night.

No Nikki mentioned

At this point in my adventure, all of the women already had a one-on-one date so it was time start having second dates. I took Clare on my last date in New Zealand because I was still concerned about how she felt about last week's cocktail party in Vietnam. I knew she felt guilty, and even though I told her it was my fault for not saying "No" when she knocked on my door, I wanted to explain my side to her.

Our date had a drastic change. I was going to pick her up in a helicopter and take it to a canyon, where we were going to do the 'Flying and later that night have dinner there, but the wind was so crazy that day that we weren't allowed to do those things. It wasn't safe conditions so we had to improvise. So, the canyon that I took Clare to during the day was actually where we were going to have dinner that night.

We had a great picnic and we talked for hours about what had happened in Vietnam. We both understood each other's different ways of thinking and respected both points. That's what relationships are all about, respecting and understanding each other and getting to know one another better. That felt really good.

For dinner that night, I took Clare to my suite – I didn't have another place to take her with all of the crazy weather. I also just wanted to have dinner and relax with her. I'm the kind of guy that doesn't need a fancy date, and hanging out with Clare on the couch and just talking was great. She made fun of my Hammer pants (I wear them every time we travel) and I asked her if she wanted to get comfortable and we did. I gave her a pair of my Hammer pants to chill on the couch.

For my second date I needed to bring somebody who I felt a strong connection with and who would appreciate my surprise of meeting Camila. The reason I decided to take Nikki was because she has been making me feel more and more comfortable since Vietnam.

We met each other down at the beach and spent an hour talking alongside the boardwalk. It was so hot that I'm glad you didn't see us sweating our butts off. After we talked, I took Nikki to cool off at a flower shop where we got to spend some quality time and pick flowers for Camila. I gave Nikki a sunflower, the flower I like to give the most (another thing you didn't see!).

The reaction when I told her we were going to the recital was priceless. She was excited and a little bit nervous. Mi bebe dancing and singing killed me. My favorite part was when she pointed at me. I'm going to post the video that I recorded soon so you see her face. (The only problem I have with this lengthy date discussion is that Camilla and the baseballl stadium seem to distract him from discussing Nikki.)

Nikki got to meet Camila for a few minutes as well as my dad, mom, aunt and Carla. After the recital, I took her to eat Venezuelan food, which I always do after a dance recital. We said goodbye to the family and just the two of us went to eat. She loved tequeños (my favorite bite) and the arepa with carne mechada (shredded beef).

During the ride from the flower store to the recital, she told me she used to play softball when she was younger. She also told me that she liked a Venezuelan hat that I gave to one of the producers during my time on The Bachelorette. To me, all of that was such a coincidence because I was going to take her to Marlins Park and I had a hat for her.

Marlins Park is what I call my office in Miami, because I work for the Venezuelan Museum of Baseball and Hall of Fame. My job is to go to all the MLB stadiums and to talk to and collect articles from all the Venezuelan players in the big leagues and those Americans that played in Venezuela.

We had the stadium to ourselves and it was so quiet and relaxing. We had an absolute blast. While in New Zealand I pulled a muscle in my leg while I was working out and forgot about it when I was at the stadium because I was so excited to be there. While we were there I decided to steal second base. I ran to the base and kind of felt the pain again. We had two gloves, a few balls and a bat – and, well, guess what, I have always wanted to hit a ball on a MLB baseball field. That night I was going to get that off my bucket list. Nikki pitched and I swung the bat pretty hard. I don't remember how far the ball went, because my leg killed me. This time the muscle was really pulled. The nurse tried taking care of me but I needed to go get an ultrasound for sure. We relaxed after that and ended a great date with Nikki the nurse.

My last date in Miami was a fun one. I enjoyed spending time with Renee, Clare, Andi and Chelsie. The plane ride was fabulous. All of the girls enjoyed it but Andi was very scared. We landed at a private beach and since I had one rose to give, I wanted to spend quality time with the women. I had a blast with Chelsie. Her family sent her like 25 letters to read throughout the adventure and sadly you only got to see two of them. They were so great. I laughed listening to all those letters. Chelsie has such a loving and fun family.

Nikki's hometown visit started with a pretty look at the World War I Memorial. The weather was fantastic, and she looked amazing. It was like three days before her birthday, so I decided to give her a little present. She was very excited.

I was starving, and she took me to Oklahoma Joe's. I have to admit, they were some of the best barbecue ribs I have ever ate. The hot sauce was unreal. I wanted to sneak a bottle for the road. The place is in a gas station, and the line went out the door.

She is such a cowgirl (I had no idea), and she took me to ride a bull. It was my first time on a mechanical bull, and I don't think I did that badly. I have to tell you guys a secret – I was such a rookie on the bull that when it moved, it kind of squeezed my nuts.

Meeting Nikki's family was great. Her mom is so funny, and her dad reminds me of my dad – very smart, honest, wise and cares for his children. Her brothers also were great. Eric, the youngest one, talked to me for a bit, and he was like, "Whatever my sister wants is okay." However, her other brother Alex was very concerned about my intentions with his sister. Her dad told me something that I really appreciated. He told me he wanted the guy who proposed to his daughter to be 100 percent sure he is ready for marriage. I told him that in this situation that would be very difficult, but I respected his opinion 100 percent.

Going to Clare's hometown was very interesting, especially because it was the only home that did not have a father figure there ( major theme this season is fatherhood), although he was definitely the father that I knew the most about and respected the most. The way Clare spoke to me about her dad during the past seven weeks made me wish he was alive so I could meet this amazing person.

Clare took me to her favorite park, a place where her dad used to take her. I got watery eyes when she told me the story about who would dance with her on her wedding day. The fact that her dad told her to pick a song right away and danced with her made me swallow hard, I almost cried. He was such an amazing person.

After the park we went for ice cream and then to her job, where she gave me a haircut so I looked sharp to meet her family.

Opening the door at Clare's sister's house and seeing a bunch of women and just one guy was kind of funny. In my country we would say "Dichoso entre todas las mujeres" ("Blessed among these women"), but sometimes it is kind of with a sarcastic tone because is not easy.

Her mom cooked some Mexican food (which I love), and Clare had her special recipe, with no cheese, because of her allergies to it. My conversations with her sisters were very nice. They all understood the situation pretty well, especially her mom, whom I had a great time speaking Spanish with. At the end of our talk, she even told me I was welcome in her house whether or not I choose Clare at the end of my adventure. (To a casual reader "whether or not" may mean "not"... at least that is what Nikki F1 supporters hope.)

It was a little tense when Clare's sister Laura didn't let me speak to her mom alone. She felt she had to protect Clare. I pulled Clare aside and told her that everything will be okay and that I would talk to both of them and then to her mom by herself, and that's how it happened.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Going into this week, I knew how difficult it was for Clare, because she had to wait a long time from her hometown visit to see me again. I was excited to see her and was hoping to have a good day with her, talking about her family and our time in Sacramento.

As she’s only been in the ocean once before, I thought it would be great to take her on a yacht and swim a little bit. On the yacht it rained a lot, so we hid a couple of times inside. During the night, we had a nice chat and I loved when she talked about how important my daughter was for me. She wasn't sure whether or not to accept a night in the fantasy suite. After talking, she agreed to spend the night together and I was glad she did.

I couldn't wait to see her face when she found out what we were going to do. As soon as she saw the horses, her silent smile was contagious. I was dying for a horseback-riding date, but unfortunately you only saw two minutes of our hour-and-a-half horseback ride. We had a blast. After talking on the beach, we swam, and I found out she is a little scared of waves, which is kind of cute.

Dinner with Nikki was so easy, and I loved talking to her. She decided to spend the night with me, but before that, she dropped the “I love you.” I wasn't really expecting that, and you could see it by my reaction. As my feelings for her are not there yet, I wanted to keep quiet rather than saying something that she may have taken the wrong way. I was very pleased with my night with Nikki. I really got to know her really well.

These are some of the things I picked up.
Every time he talk about Clare he adds something or someone to it
When he talk about his first 1-1 with Clare he had to include Camilla in the comment
When he talked about the surprise, he included that he had surprises for all the women. He didn't leave anything just for Clare
When he talked about taking the nine women on the group date he included Nikki in the comment
He explains why his shirt is off.
He didn't include no one in his talk about Nikki.

at this point in my adventure, all of the women already had a one-on-one date so it was time start having second dates-(like he has to first explain why he has to take Clare on another date).

for dinner that night, I took Clare to my suite-I didn't have another place to take her with all of the crazy weather(again explaining why, hehehe).

He's always talking about those deleted scenes we didn't see with Nikki. I'm they had to be some with Clare and the other women.

Pbmax, I shortened your post since it included the longer JBF post.  ITA with everything you wrote.  Also, I noticed that Juan spend time with his daughter BEFORE he went on a date with Clare.  However, Juan INCLUDED Nikki when he attended his daughter's recital.  Another point that I discovered in JBF's post, was that Nikki had told Juan that she wanted one of his Venezuela caps like the one that Juan had given a producer.  So, he surprised her with it during their Miami date.

Yep! it seem everything he does is with Nikki in mind.
