Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici - Bachelor 17 - General Discussion

Aww, I loved reading through all of these posts.

Hmm, as for me, I have never watched a single episode of the Bachelor or Bachelorette or Bach Pad ever before. I never ever wanted too until I found out a blogger I follow (Katie the yoga instructor) would be on the show. I was curious so I googled and found the spoilers and was surprised when I saw it was Catherine. I was intrigued because she looked filipina.

I still really wasn't interested in watching Sean's season (by this point I didn't even know who the Bachelor was) but my curiosity got the better of me again when I started doing more research. I found Sophie's blog and was so excited with what I found. In the end I decided to watch the Season to see the love story unfold. I've been hooked ever since. I will admit that I was a fan of Catherine before I was a fan of Sean, however I love them together and really I just love love (especially the real kind ).

Shout out to everyone for sharing your stories. I've enjoyed reading each one. Keep them coming.

Loved reading all the stories! My mom was a fan during Trista's season so I watched with her, and of course the wedding, but I did not get back into watching until Jason's season & I've been hooked ever since, now more then my mom!. Favorite couples have been Ali/Roberto (was disappointed they broke up but think it's for the best), & Ashley and JP who are just perfect together. When I glanced through the bios of guys for Emily's season & saw Sean, he had all the qualities a girl would want & seemed like he was in it for love & not fame. So yes I was sad when she let him go, but think she was on a different level then him, way too perky & all that. Thrilled when he was the Bachelor, and looked up every single spoiler I could find to keep my eye on the F1 to see if they had the connection because I really wanted him to find his happy ending, even though the Bach odds were nill at that point.... Catherine stood out to me the most, and of course I was disappointed that she was in the background a lot, but then the kiss in the driveway ooh man! but what really stood out to me was the group date in Montana when he brought the blue team which included her, back even though they lost ;) and they spent their private time outside, totally spoke volumes that he was falling for her. And then Canada, I became obsessed, watching them in the snow giggling, snuggling in the ice castle it was like they had been dating for years! Home town dates & Final 3 rose ceremonies were so stressful! I was wondering if the spoilers were wrong afraid he was going to send her home! Thank goodness they weren't or that would have been horrible. The proposal&letter was perfect and I watched it like 5 times that night & now I have it memorized. Started following both on Twitter/IG but I wanted to be updated with them once DWTS ended, so I goggled fan forums and here I am! The only time I have been this addicted to a "reality tv couple" was Sabrina&Mark from DWTS Season 5. Anyways, long story short, so glad to have found others to share and fangirl with! :)

Me, I didn’t really even know what the bachelor is all about before Sean’s Season, but one seemingly normal January day my close friend who is a hardcore fan of the show and is head over soles in love and in lust with Sean Lowe told me that the winner of his season is Half-filipina (close friend read the spoilers), so that peaked my curiosity because I’m a half-filipina myself, so I wondered who the girl was and how she managed to capture the bachelor, so I started to watch the bachelor I even got my Mother to watch it too with me, and needless to say Catherine is the main reason why we started watching the show. So at first we were very skeptical with it, like how one person can find true love there, so ridiculous! But how many times in our lives do we make snap assessments of people or situations only to realize later that we were too quick to judge, and this is one of the few instances when I was guilty of exactly this, because after several episodes we’ve change our tune, mother and I became a believer of Sean and Catherine, they didn’t show her much but you understand why,,,, and my mother oh myy just like my close friend she too fell madly in lust with Sean, were charmed! though I can’t count how many times I got upset with him when he was with the other girls specially with babytalk Lindsay whom I hated with a burning passion,,, but myyy when he’s with Catherine, when he kisses her forehead and the way he looks at her just melted my cold, cold heart,,, and when he told her She’s smokin’ hot and that he’s the lucky one, oh myyy I swear I’ve shed a tear or two . :giggle:  Moving on to Catherine, well what can I say,,, she’s just so precious, we love her to death, and we like Sean more when he’s with her. I’m so happy he proposed to her, I hope they get married soon so Catherine can start pumping out the little Lowes. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

ha ha So funny that your mother fell madly in lust with Sean. That guy has females of all ages falling for him!

I've loved reading all your stories. You guys rock. I've been trying to post mine since yesterday, but my internet connection was kind of faulty. Thankfully it's now back to normal. So here's how I fell in love with SenCat:

I'd never really watched a whole season of the bachelor/bachelorette, except for a few episodes of both Brad2 and Jake's which were aired here in Holland, way long after the fact. Neither left a lasting impression on me, nor did they spark my interest for the show. But somehow Sean did. I first got a glimpse of Sean early December as I was browsing through some entertainment News videos on Huffingtonpost.com. He'd just finishing filming and was making his first public appearances. He made a good first impression on me. I thought he was very confident, articulate with his answers and came across as genuine in his quest for a life partner. I was immediately hooked and decided I'd watch some silly reality tv come January. I found out the premier and the rest of the season would both air on ABC. Now coming from outside the US, access to ABC live programming is very limited. So I quickly cancelled my old subscription and opted for Digital Satellite TV, as I was determined to watch every single episode live. That's how much invested I was and really rooting for Sean to hopefully find his wife. I watched the whole season unspoiled and looked forward to staying up late every Monday night. I loved Catherine right out of the Limousine. I was biased and wanted Sean to pick her, but was very frustrated when she hardly got screen time the first few episodes. At that point I was convinced Tierra, Des or Ashlee would end up with Sean. Then their first kiss happened and I thought it was so sweet and came naturally. When Sean asked the blue team back the next episode even after Des bravely drunk goat's milk for him, I knew none of the girls on the red team had a shot at winning his heart and that Sean was starting to fall hard for Cat. I loved all their moments together and cringed everytime Sean was with the other girls. However, their FD sealed it for me. I could feel their love from my love seat and no form of editing could convince me otherwise. I cried like a baby when Sean proposed and I thought it was very beautiful and the most genuine proposal I've ever witnessed. I found this forum right after the show wrapped up and like all of you I am addicted to the love we all share for them. You all make this place wonderful and one of my favourite places to be. I am excited for their wedding. I know we'll party just as hard as they will, right here on this FORUM. I can't WAIT!!

I knew about the show but never watched it. Being a filipina, I am following and supporting Filipino's trying to make a name for themselves. While browsing the web on Jessica Sanchez, I came over a spoiler that a half filipina won the heart of the bachelor so I search the show's schedule. I was able to see the FD in the tv and boy..I knew that the spoiler is absolutely correct. The "I can't help but kiss her all the time", "your smokin' hot", "I'm the lucky one", and those looks..definitely love. I was hooked then and followed them ever since. I opened IG and tweeter account just for them Lol and so I can understand what you all are saying in this forum. I'm happy to have found this forum and share all seancat.

SeanCat is the 2nd couple fr Bach/Bachette history that I got attached to.

The only other season I watched in full was Trista's. Love her and Ryan and followed them for a while until they had their 2 kids. We even had a yahoo group (for the Philippines fans for T&R), met some members and bought from one of them the DVD copy of their wedding with the full season, plus their early guestings in some tv shows, all wayback in 2003. Season after season of bach/bachette passed, came across the FORT website (was a member but didnt post at all), and read/watched intermittently. I just stopped reading and watching after brad 2.0.
Fastforward 2013, sometime in February I was browsing the internet one evening and came across RS website and got to read the spoiler. I was intrigued coz Catherine's half pinay so i started searching for links about her until i came across Ms. Sophie's blog and she had the link for this website. I spent my free time reading ALL the archive threads and watching the past episodes until I became updated with the show. I love SeanCat on the show and sort of my faith in the bachelor show was restored because of them. And they already surpassed (big time) my obsession with Trista and Ryan wayback then. My kilig (wiggles) and obssession meter is way way up for SeanCat compared to T&R. I love SeanCat even more post show and just like everyone here Im excited for the days ahead awaiting their big day!

I don't know what it is today, but I feel more in love with this couple today, than I did yesterday, and that's saying a lot. I think it's a combination of reading everyone's stories, plus the fact that Sean and Catherine have finally settled in Dallas and seem so incredibly happy. All of that is just giving me so much peace and happiness about this couple that I could burst!!!!

I didn't think there was an interview with Sean that I had never seen but I was wrong. This one with ET was done during filming of the roller derby date. Sean, Tierra, and the adorable Catherine are interviewed. Maybe some of you haven't seen it either.

Catherine looks so cute in the helmet, how she kept it on even for the interview. It's kinda fun watching back all these interviews hearing Sean talk about what he's looking for in a woman, if he found her, e.t.c. since we know the outcome  

I thought Sean was a little cocky on Emily's season. Probably because he had never had his heart broken - the girls always fell for him, what would be different this time? But then I saw him on a Christian show Podcast after we all saw his heart broken, and he had recovered. I believe he realized his love for Emily was prompted by the show, nonetheless real to him at the time. The fact that he chose Catherine - so night and day from Emily (and I mean only that, I liked Emily) tells me that he approached his choice carefully, really wanting and ready to choose a wife for life - and come on, we could all see how in love/infatuated with her he was - his eyes never lied. In the last days I saw his appreciation and love, if you will, for Lindsay grow, and I felt like he was torn - because she seemed to fit the bill of what everyone expected for him. (It's gotta be a hard thing to be the Bachelor or Bachelorette, especially if - like Sean - you intend your choice for life and approach it that way. I never really saw that with Emily - look how he held back so long until finally - he said he loved her. I think he was enamoured with not only her, but being an instant dad.) Emily recognized he was the right kind of guy for her, but (and I'm so glad she did) she must have realized what she was feeling for him wasn't love. I really love true love stories, and I feel like we saw the start of one. As public as they have been with tweets and pictures and appearances and videos - all for our sake, letting us know they are ok - I feel with the wedding we will see true joy in both their faces, and I look forward to that. Their commitment to wait will only sweeten that wedding to me.
