Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici - Bachelor 17 - General Discussion

Here's another get to know you question. Have any of you ever met people from message boards in real life?

I have. During the Andrew and Jen period I met up with a gal from my other board at one of Andrews wine signings. We subsequently went to Byron and Mary's ATFR taping, and a couple concerts locally together. Also another friend i made through that board and we met up at a couple of the WTA tapings. I also formed a private board with some friends during the A&J period where we could share personal stuff. We still exchange Xmas cards and family things to this day even though the board is gone.

I've never watch The Bach/Bachette before Sean's season. I have a co-worker who's a fan, but it wasn't until I saw a picture of Sean in a blue towel that my interest was peaked. I can't believe I'm following him. His plaid shirts, colorful tennis shoes and waiting until marriage belief was a little much for me. I read the spoilers and had to keep watching because they didn't show that much of Catherine and I had to see it for myself. Sean's smiled while driving that snow bus hooked me. He is so happy when he's with her. When Catherine melted his heart, mine melted right along with his. So sweet! There is just something about these these two. They are so genuine & in love. They've had to endure so much negativity and are still strong. Can't help but root for them!

I'm a newbie when it comes to following as well. I don't post much but enjoy and truly appreciate this site. Thank you all for the posts, pictures and videos of our favorite couple.

Well since we are sharing our obsession with these two . This is mine too.

Actually I am  not really into this dating reality show . My first experienced to watch this show was during Trista's season. That was the time I was really hooked up . I really loved her season and Ryan was my favorite among her suitors. I was really fell in love with them throughout her season . I even one of those million viewers who watched their televised wedding . It was so great to see them married in national television and glad to know of all these years they are still together and happy . After they got married I don't keep their married life about the updates of their life off cam but I usually reading something about them and now that social media is part of everyone's life it is easy to get some news about these reality people that you have been rooted before

I was also hooked with the Prince bachelor . Lol. That prince is pretty funny and his women are such a hoot. And I happened to like the woman named Sadie that time but as the show goes on and it looks like he is not chosing Sadie . I stopped watching it and moved on hahaha. Lol. So that was the last time I watched the show and never watched again .

Then this Sean's season I came back to watch the show  . Actually one night I was browsing something to watch and I happened to see Sean's season and that was the time I started watching the show and catherine  caught my eye and I got curious about her. And then that was I started watching the whole season and fell in love with them . There was a time my friends told me "what the heck are you watching?"  it was crazy! The thing that I was curious with catherine is she is so different among these women and her personality really got me and hooked me up. The first time I saw their first date and the way he treated her was so different from these other women I told to myself the chemistry of these two is off the charts. And I said this will be the last woman standing and will win his heart and reality steve is right . Lol. I am just happy what happened and the proposal is to die for. I was so happy for both of them and continue looking their life together  and continue growing . I am just happy

Thank you Lipsis for opening this door. It's amazing how many of us don't share this obession with friends or family members but are here solo. Something wonderful about Seancat has caught all our hearts and I love reading all of your posts. Bravo to all for coming here and making this such a friendly great place to belong.

I love reading everyone's stories. It's great to know that we all feel the same way about this couple, and to read how it all started!

A bit off topic, but I thought this was really cool. Someone tweeted this to Trista:

I started watching the show because a friend of mine watched. She urged me to watch that second season with Aaron but, he did nothing for me so even though I tried, I never really got into it. She again urged me to watch Trista's season because she had loved her on the first season with Alex. I did watch somewhat, but, Trista was just too girly for me to really get into it. I watched it more to see what my friend saw in it all. I did enjoy the proposal and was glad she picked Ryan because I didn't really get the Charlie thing. Must admit to being glued to the wedding, but it just confirmed to me how over the top girly Trista was with all that pink. While I watched from that point on, I didn't really follow it all that closely. Many of the leads didn't do anything for me and the contestants seemed to be so over the top. (The exception was Charlie. I did really enjoy Charlie's season and his pick Sara.)

Brad1 started the change and when I started paying more attention. While he wasn't my type, I did think he was very handsome and there was just something very genuine about him. I think it was because he seemed such a southern gentleman and I really liked him. Of course, I was disappoiinted that he picked no one but, after that initial reaction I grew to admire him more for standing up for his beliefs. Wasn't a huge fan of Deanna's season but, things picked up again during Jason's season because of Jillian. At first it was because she was a fellow Canadian, but I really grew to like her and started to try to find more info. That is when I discovered RS and his spoilers, which in turn introduced me to FORT, which in turn, eventually led me here. The trifecta. My reality world experiences will never be the same!!!

Once I discovered spoilers and how things really worked, well, what had been a casual show watching experience changed into a quest for answers. Jason's season was truly the start of everything and even though I got into the spoilers then and really liked certain people and couples along the way (Jillian/Ed :hidingchair , Chris L, Chantel, Ash/JP), it wasn't until Emily's season that a true fan was born....NOT for Em or Jeff, but for Sean.

I don't know why Sean attracted me because again, he is not my type, but, there was just something about him that I liked. I started doing more research and because of the increased popularity of social media and the boards, started getting a taste for the real...not edited...man. He was the best combination of Brad and Chril L...southern gentleman with a wicked sense of humour and fun....Way too good for Emily!

I was over the moon excited for Sean to be the Bachelor and when I first saw his ladies, the one that stood out for me was Cat...because of her resemblance to a character/actress from Vampier Diaries. The quest was on. When the spoilers came out and many just kept saying they have nothing in common ...a steak loving, consevative, religious Texan with a quirky vegan, liberal from Seattle, it's not going to last, a fangirl was born. I had followed them both enough pre show to really think that they were, in fact, a very good match. Neither quite the stereotype that people thought and I thought they would complement each other quite well. As the show progressed...the first kiss in the driveway, carrying her out to sit on his lap in Montana, their first date in Canada, fun hometown and particularly their FD when they giggled their way though math equations, had that hot, hair grabbing kiss in the rain and then THAT LOOK!!! You all know the one! He told her that no, he was the lucky one and they just glowed at one another. That sealed the deal for me. After years of cynically dissecting and cutting up the show, these two made me believers. True love can blossom anywhere!!! And a cynic can become a fan with just one glowing, loving look!

Wow Sprite, so well written and expressive. I dropped my teeth at one sentence that has been in my head always as I watched Sean and Catherines season progress. " how could a steak eating, conservative, religious Texan bond with a quirky vegan, liberal from Seattle. That's the key to the marvel that's Sean and Catherine's story real love can always blossom no matter what..

I had never watched the bachelor or the bachelorette at all but for some reason God just placed Catherine on my heart and I started praying for her in October 2012. I continued to pray for her but I never watch the show until the final rose. I just love Catherine as if she was my own daughter. When I discovered that Sean is a Christian I was excited to support someone who shares the same faith with me. I started following them and continued to fall in love with them. I have never followed anyone before and never has interest in anyone on TV. I love Sean and Catherine like they are my children. I love seeing a young couple standing for rightness and walking in pure love. It just blesses my heart to see how much they love each other and how much they encourage each other in Christ.

I started watching Trista's season and when Ryan read her his first poem he had me hooked. Such a sweet guy. The more the season went on I could definitely see her and Ryan together and then when they were in Seattle and had the hot tub scene I knew it was all over for the other guys. I watched their wedding and love catching up with them once in awhile and just so happy for them.

I really never watched any other seasons other than maybe an episode here and there a few times. But then, I happened on Emily's season somewhere into it and I still didn't watch every week but as it got later into the season started watching every week. I was heartbroken for Sean when he went home and he was just so quiet in the car leaving and I just liked what he said and his manner. So, when I heard he was the Bachelor I knew I was going to watch his season. From his very first intro into it with him walking on the beach talking about how he was going to love his woman, how he wanted to be her rock, and when he got down on one knee that he was committed to being in love with her the rest of his life and he hoped at the end of it that there would be a beautiful woman that wanted to spend the rest of her life with him and then he sees that bride and groom and does that whip of his head. Little did he know he was seeing what was in his future. But, I love that head moment.

I really noticed Catherine on the 2nd episode when she told Sean that "Love the Beef" joke and Sean tosses his head back in laughter. By the 4th cocktail party and when she told him that she was attracted to him and that look on his face when he told her that he was attracted to her. But, it was that kiss in the driveway that grabbed my heart....as it was a walk home from a movie one evening on a street corner that my husband kissed me for the first time that everything changed for us and I just felt a connection with them. Even though Sean had all these other emotions to sort out it got to more and more I could see something special between these two and prayed that it would be Catherine. She had already tapped into his sense of humor and they definitely had a connection with that kiss and even at that rose ceremony things had really started to change.

When they decided he would go on Dancing With the Stars I started praying for them because I knew how hard it was going to be for them with all the rubbish they'd have to go through but these two always amazed me on just how strong together they were and I was so proud of them (past and present tense) and what a woman he has in Cat and what a man she has in Sean. They are truly a union that is heaven blessed.

Anyway, I was googling them one day and came across this wonderful forum. I signed up shortly after and have loved every single minute of it. I can't tell you all how much fun and heart touching it is to be here and how grateful I am to this forum and each and every one of you. God Bless

I did, back in the Meredith and Ian days. Their story is still probably the one with the most elements I can personally relate to, even if I wasn't totally shocked when they didn't make it. I went to two fan meet-ups, actually, including one where we got to meet one of her rejected bachelors. I still chat via the internet with many of those people.

I have long said that the connections we make with other fans is the best part of the show. It's fun to find people who see the same thing in a story as you do, who are excited by the same things in a relationship. Its a unique type of bond.

I love seeing you all bond and share. I hope SeanCat makes it, but I'm not one of those uniquely touched by them. I enjoy hearing you all chat about them and letting me know what they are up to, though.
