He's looking so good!
I think he's wearing those Proof Eyewear sunglasses?
Anything I post means it's Just My Opinion. Don't feel like posting it every time I post. So, I thought I'd get that out of the way.

I still wonder if Brooks would've fallen harder for Des had they done more adventurous and adrenaline-pumping type dates?
He seems really into that stuff and if he knew Des could hang with him in that sense and see that side of her, perhaps he would've gotten closer to that finish line. Or even if they did more regular real-world type dates, he would've felt less pressure and greater comfort to "fall" in a less manufactured environment?

I wonder if he is annoyed that the only thing he got out of this show was a majorly messed up finger.

rolly, i think the problem was brooks said so many contradictory things. he was conflicted and said conflicting things and it has left us feeling conflicted. i have no idea if they would have worked in real life. i do think the show was the wrong format for him to meet someone. looking at the picture thread i'm struck by how much happier he looks since the show ended. i think it did weigh on him and he's just relieved it's over. i do think he has feelings for des but what they are and how deep they are i can't say. i think he may have had unrealistic expectations going into the show such as he could legitimately fall in love in such a short time. i hate to say it but if you are going to do this show you sort of have to play the game a bit. i don't think it is possible to go on this show and be totally honest and genuine. it goes against the premise of the show imo.Rolly wrote:Thanks Nannymargie for your comments, nice to not feel so alone in my disappointment. Oh, I can see that Brooks would have liked an adrenaline date, but I don't see that Desiree could have handled it that well. Maybe, she would have with Brooks there.agentcurls wrote:I still wonder if Brooks would've fallen harder for Des had they done more adventurous and adrenaline-pumping type dates?

I personally would have thought that date in AC she had with James would have been a great date for them. Heck, with any of the top 4 guys.
Well, he's the one that left. So, I don't get what you mean.Adele1117 wrote:I wonder if he is annoyed that the only thing he got out of this show was a majorly messed up finger.

I think Des would have done great on an adrenaline date. She's a total tomboy and very athletic. Wonder why they never got one?

Thank you Gabriele, I think you just hit on what our problem is. Brooks did say so many contradictory things. I think that's what has us hanging on to what could have been. On the mountain in Maderia she asked him is he could see this working outside and he said it is working. Plus so many other things on the home town dates. The when Zak got sent home he may have been wondering if he could be next and did not want his heart broken again. I think maybe that was why he was so emotional when he was breaking up with her. He wanted to know why she didn't say she loved him earlier, he did not want to leave her, thought she was conflicted about the relationships with the other guys. He asked her if he should leave. Now why ask her that is he really wanted to break it off? I still say that if he knew she loved him it may have been different and then maybe not. But this process does move to fast for him but I think he would have gotten there. One answer to an interview question was that he was he was close and could almost touch it.gabriele wrote:rolly, i think the problem was brooks said so many contradictory things. he was conflicted and said conflicting things and it has left us feeling conflicted. i have no idea if they would have worked in real life. i do think the show was the wrong format for him to meet someone. looking at the picture thread i'm struck by how much happier he looks since the show ended. i think it did weigh on him and he's just relieved it's over. i do think he has feelings for des but what they are and how deep they are i can't say. i think he may have had unrealistic expectations going into the show such as he could legitimately fall in love in such a short time. i hate to say it but if you are going to do this show you sort of have to play the game a bit. i don't think it is possible to go on this show and be totally honest and genuine. it goes against the premise of the show imo.Rolly wrote:Thanks Nannymargie for your comments, nice to not feel so alone in my disappointment. I think Des would have done great on adrenaline dates also. She danced on the side of a building, repelled down a mountain with Sean, got shot in the air on the fair date.IrishGal wrote:I think Des would have done great on an adrenaline date. She did things with Brooks that he will never do again and were special like, sitting on the Hollywood sign, being in the clouds on the mountain, having dinner on the middle of a bridge. Those are things that he will never forget.

Yeah, I would've liked to see him on different dates. Like rock-climbing, since that's what he likes to do.
