I am no better than anyone else on this forum. I got sucked into the 'Bres' storyline too. I just learned the hard way from previous seasons. There were others besides me that thought the same thing and tried to help warn people. We just need to realize that MF got what he wanted in regards to RS and unfortunately, this forum got caught up in it.

Someone asked about the Jimmy Kimmel video on you tube. Probably didn't make Chris or Des happy but it expressed the feelings of many. Don't know how to bring it over but the title is Bachelorette Consolation Engagement Song if anybody wants to see it.

True. He did seem irritated. I did see it and it was funny.

We were all irritated. Brooks did what he did because of how he felt. It's the show that led us on, making a story out of something else, which I think is just mean, and it totally detracted from the real F1, making the ending something less than romantic and believable. I think they screwed up this season because they were so set on making the ending a "surprise", which it really was not. Of course, you could put some of the blame on Brooks and Des. Brooks for leaving when he did; Des for switching on a dime. Des for being so head over heels infatuated with Brooks. Brooks for being so darn smart, funny, charming and good-looking, so she'd want to. But ultimately, TPTB are the ones who screwed this up by focusing on Brooks and how Des felt about him.

Not that I'm complaining about how much they focused on Brooks. At least what we got was good and not hidden.

i'm moving thru my grief with how this season ended, and i'm at an angry stage now.    

I am angry at the show for leading me to believe that there was a possibility that Brooks came back at the end, and we never got to see him again after the limo ride.  maybe the signs were there, but I totally missed them and that ticks me off and makes me angry at myself.  this season was so like Ali's season, although that time I was told it was Alberto that was F1 but all the signs, and I mean ALL the signs pointed to Chris L.  I was sure that my source was wrong... I worked with JBF on fort, and analyzed rainbows, lens flares, music, the whole nine yards, and it wound up Roberto in the end anyway... so in a way I guess that my being spoiled that it was Brooks, and my seeing a connection between him and Des, I ignored the signs that had been apparent with Chris just figuring we were getting the Ali/ChrisL show once again. *I am not angry at my source, they were duped along with the rest.  Fleiss really played this one close to the chest for my source to get duped.

*I am angry at the franchise and all who created this show.  i'm not only angry, i'm pissed!  I am angry that they used Brooks, Des and Chris in such a cruel manner at the end to get people to watch, and that I was so gullible to catch that hook.

I am hoping that each of them... Brooks, Des, and Chris get thru this with little to no damage to their psyche. I hope that MF and company come to a screeching halt and that what's important to them, the MONEY, dries up and withers away.

Only the RS / Board spoiler led to the conclusion that Brooks "came back." The spoiler was always merely that Brooks was F1, as of May 8th FRC ... which of course we now know was off by two days anyway.

Regarding the bolded, until Harrison was asked about it over and over after the Part 1 Finale by media (because of the spoiler) and then himself teased it at the ATFR, I'm not actually aware of "the show" saying even one word, nor teasing in any preview (and we all know that previews are often blatantly filled with such misdirection).

No, this season, we the viewers created the "Return of Brooks" storyline from whole cloth, once it became apparent that he walked off the set in Antigua.

jlczz That's bull.  The show did indicate someone comes back.  I told you about that Life & Style article that came out when the whole James thing was going on and in it the 'insider' said that guys leave and come back throughout the season.

The show also gave WetPaint info about two rings, etc.  Wasn't there info that Drew did get a ring, but it was never shown? So, again the show was trying to build a story that Brooks comes back.

To say that the show wasn't building up that Brooks leaves and comes back is a bunch of bull otherwise, the show would have shown Brooks at the MTA.

I most definitely don't want Des heartbroken and alone. However I think she l think she short changed herself in the long run. It was like she considered the stint as Bachelorette as her very last absolute chance at long lasting fulfilling love. Bottom line was Brooks was her guy and the one she wanted, his looks, his personality, his mind, his goofiness, his spontanteous attitude. That was the type of man she wanted. He didn't feel it with her, or psyched himself out about it, whatever the case, he couldn't meet her at the finish line. But instead of taking what she knew about what she was looking for to apply it to the outside world and her real life to keep looking for that man that embodied what she found with Brooks and could meet her at the finish line, she instead decided that the Bachelorette was somehow her last chance at finding love and went with what was leftover. A man she flat out said she could not love the same way. She is what, 27? It's like she hit a panic button and just forced herself to make Chris the one and justify it to anyone and everyone that would listen. If it works out and she has a happy life, then so be it. But it was just kind a weird message to send. I don't think Des is at her best with Chris considering what I saw with them together on the show and she deserves to be just as happy in the relationship as the person she is with. I don't buy it with her and Chris. I still think she would have been better off leaving alone and meeting another person with the Brooks like qualities she completely fell for and didn't want to be without who also could be in love with her. I don't think it would have been impossible to do and maybe down the road she will still have that chance if she doesn't get to caught up with trying to save face and prove to everyone her and Chris are the "real deal."

I think Brooks is genuinely happy for Des to be engaged but I also think her doing such the quick turnaround only reinforced in his mind like many have said, that he made the right decision in leaving.

I think that's part of why Brooks took such a big role in the season and ending.  There needed to be a captivating story and Brooks provided it.  For me Chris and Drew, although great guys, never came across as "tv material".  Even Des struggled with that depending on who she was with.  That's not a bad thing, just a problem for the producers.  For me Brooks and Zak made for great tv.  A lot of the rest of the cast didn't this season.  And they needed a show.

Agree!  Brooks made for better tv.

People should read Juan Pablo's tweets just to show how fake the show is, because he's focusing on his abs all of a sudden.
