gabriele wrote:sfrank, i don't understand what the timing actually was but when brooks had his pow wow with CH brooks said something about proposing "in 2 weeks". i remember thinking 'huh? it's next week buddy'. either brooks got the timing mixed up or something is off. also, maybe des is counting the extra few days she had in antigua with chris? i don't think she specifically said "before the proposal". i have no idea really, but something is wonky with all of them on timing.sfrank wrote:sydney1 wrote:Do you guys think Des moving so soon is her idea or Chris. Thank for bringing this up again! I commented on this earlier...
Des and Chris are making a concerted effort to ignore her feelings for Brooks and it could be their downfall. That might be another reason TPTB dropped the pushing for him to be the new Bachelor! They want Des and Chris to say together for a bit! LOL.
Now, with Chris not having seen the infamous breakup because it "doesn't matter" and Des ridiculous claim that it was "two weeks" between Brooks leaving and the proposal, they are both delusional! I think Des is moving to Seattle this weekend because she is desperate to prove to the world, Chris and more importantly herself, that she is completely over Brooks. Even the most successful Bachelor and less controversial couples did not move this quickly. I think they should get used to being a couple in the real world before moving in together. Its a big mistake. Do the long distance thing for a few months, get your bearings, and THEN make the move. Too much, too soon...IMO.
Two weeks is not possible....here's why..
- Brooks was in Boise ID on April 27th...here's the screenshot for the actual show show date and time!

- Brooks says during his talk with him mom & sister he was flying tomorrow evening...4/28
- I doubt his date was the next day...it was more likely that it was 4/30
- F3 RC was the next day...5/1
- We know the FRC was 5/6 - THAT'S FIVE DAYS!
- CH was spotted back in Miami on 5/7 according to twitter (seeing filming thread)

bee, i think des was counting the extra week or however many days she & chris stayed after the proposal. that's the only thing i can figure but then why did brooks say the proposal was in 2 weeks. i very distinctly remember him saying that to CH in their talk.Beeleever wrote:You may have already discussed this, but does anyone know why Des would lie to the media about the following:Beth Kwiatkowski: So Jimmy Kimmel airs (inaudible) video last video about Des settling for her second choice in picking you Chris after Brooks left the show and while - while it kind of seems like that was the case Chris you seem generally OK with that and a lot of viewers are surprised at how, you know, at ease you are and how comfortable you seem about the situation. Could you talk about that a little bit and Desiree could you share your own thoughts on that?
Desiree Hartsock: Yes, and I mean - I mean, Chris was never a second choice. I mean, there was still two weeks left even when Brooks left like he - I didn't even have a date with him and those last two weeks if you talked to anyone like those are the most vital because it's not just about quality is it's really about picturing a life together and making sure it's going to fit.
Brooks spoke to his mom/sister on April 27th. Travel day April 28th. Earliest break-up day is April 29th. Final Rose ceremony May 6th. Maximum 1 week. Why is she saying it was 2?

“Brooks knew what he was signing up for with ‘The Bachelorette.’ But at the same time, when he saw Desiree kissing other guys week after week, it was disgusting to him.
“Even if he gets sucked back into being with Desiree, I don’t see their relationship going the distance.”
Forester’s former flame agrees.
Every time D cries with Chris, I believe she's crying because she's not with Brooks.
Excuse me, who was saying that every time he saw Desiree kissing other guys it was disgusting? That's right, an un-named family member (probably his dad who spoke to them before for all we know). Who cares what his ex thinks with what Brooks would or wouldn't do?

What has bothered me intensely was when Brooks was walking through the park before he went to Boise. the first thing out of his mouth as he crossed that cute little bridge was the fantasy dates were next in line, and he didn't know what would happen afterwards which was making him nervous. OMG ...I have always thought the over night dates would bother him.. I think it was too much for him to think the girl he was falling in love with would be spending that kind of intimate time with the others which he may have found too painful to deal with...who knows ??atem wrote:laurentx wrote:laurentx wrote:So I was just on radaronline.com and came across this article on Brooks which also directed to national enquirer (I know I know) and the real reason he left...

It was like an aha! moment and makes total sense to me now.. on their first date Brooks was head over heels for Des but I couldn't understand why he started to become distant and hesitant.. this makes a lot of sense. What do you-all think? Makes me sad...
Hello... Did anyone read this article? What do you think?
Yeah, and I thought it was the usual crap article from NE.

There is no way she should be counting the post-proposal. She clearly says "two weeks when Brooks left". Its sad because poor Chris KNOWS she is lying because he was there. He is not stupid and knows the truth! Even this week's people magazine says 7 days and THAT was because they are counting the actual breakup day and the F3 RC day.

Do you think maybe they are counting 2 weeks from when Chris/Drew arrived on the island, and thus from when Brooks was supposed to arrive on the island?

Just tells me that she is counting post proposal and that defeats her argument.

C is just a pushover. He just follows D around like a puppy, trying to offer as much affection as he can, hoping she'll throw him a bone. It's actually quite sad watching him fawn over her like that. D actually laughed in his face on a few occasions during the show. Watching C sweat while alone with D was also just really tough to watch.
I don't think D is going to be happy with that dynamic. Not for long, anyway.
