Maybe I am reading too much into it but the picture on IG that Michael G posted of Brooks with the hashtag blownaway and Brooks' Vine video of his nephew with the hashtag blownaway, both of which refer to the finale, makes me tgink Brooks was in fact blown away that Des was engaged. Maybe he really was thinking, if she is still single than she really meant it when she said she loved him. Or maybe he was blownaway from the fact she confessed she loved him, yet was able to get engaged to Chris. Maybe he felt she really wasn't the girl he thought she was and therefore unfollowed her from Twitter. Who knows!!! I am analyzing this way too much!!!

I think these are all legit things to wonder about.  We know he did see her and James making out in the ice igloo, and I'm not sure if that was before or after his alone time with her, where she just reached out and pulled him in to kiss him mid-sentence.  I guess it wouldn't really matter which it was because he had his time with her, and had to think it was pretty special but then to possibly later reflect on what he saw with James, you could imagine that he'd have some confusion, doubts.

I hope he realized that she was also giving him looks during RCs and during group dates, etc. and was also always standing near him in group settings just like he observed with Chris.

ETA: His ex, Erin, is stunning, a natural beauty. I think Brooks was so in love with her, as he said up at the Hollywood sign, that he would be moved to tears with that love.

I watched ATFR again and looked closer at body language. I usually overlook the body language in the other person because I'm focused on Brooks, but someone else's comments made me curious. I was curious about the touching Brooks' arm a couple times and then touching her heart. She does do that and it is very telling. The look she gives after he says he saw how she would look at Chris was definitely chagrin. She knows it's not true. That's what I mean by he's driving the dagger in. He's killing her and he doesn't even probably realize it.

I said it yesterday and I'll say it again . . . now I know the definition of heartbreaker. Brooks is a heartbreaker. A guy who makes a girl fall head over heels in love with him, but never gets there with his own feelings and breaks up with her; but is still so charming and has a heartbreaking ability to connect with her ever after so she can forever see how it was, how it could be, but for some frustrating reason it can never be. He is so frustratingly distant and content to always be at a distance, yet she sees so much.

Brooks' body language speaks volumes, too. He scoots further away from her so he's almost falling off the chair.

I also wonder what he was meaning when he said watching the breakup brought up those feelings again.

Could it be the feelings that he cared or the feelings about breaking her heart.

Brooks also gets emotional right after saying he'd been in love before so he knows what it's like, which I think has everything to do with his last girlfriend.

Ummm when was it that Brooks saw her from a his hotel with Desiree with a guy or her rolling around on the beach? They didn't have any group dates on the beach.

As for the ex, I already knew about her because of RS. I could care less how 'gorgeous' she is or whatever.

I'm just glad that Desiree found someone that truly loves her. Thankfully, she didn't come out of this broken hearted and unloved.

gator~breathe in...breathe out. I know emotions are running high right now, but please don't let what someone else thinks or says effect you to the point where you respond with disrespect. The "Foe" button works wonders and that's what it's for. I understand you are frustrated and venting, but it's not worth the price. I don't want you to be banned from this site, but Love and San have to have a set of rules on how we treat each other or the bashing would be worse than a WWF wrestling match. It's been that way before and they had to shut down threads so no one could post in them.

Let's please not comment or respond to disrespectful posts. Just pass by them or Foe the people making them. I love you all and don't want anyone to get banned for responding to someone else's post.  :campfire:

I may vent in a PM to another poster, or leave a questionable smiley face, but I don't normally engage. it's just that some people just love to stand and stomp on that last nerve. but I had a decent sleep last night and am starting fresh today.

I understand where you are coming from. We've all been there. I just know your fellow #teamBrooks posters really value the friendship and camaraderie you bring to this board and would be very sad if you were no longer posting! You have the right to share your thoughts and support of Brooks in the Brooks fan thread! Please come back into the room and own your power by not giving your time and energy to posts that don't deserve it. It's all good.

Where was that from? An interview? If it's the teleconference one, they can't ask follow up questions. Which sucks.

Probably both. He told her at the breakup that he cared, and he hoped she knows that he cared. And we know he didn't want to hurt her, he knew she didn't deserve that.

Interesting you saw that and yet agentcurls (who was there) had the impression that it was Brooks that had unresolved feelings.

I'm compiling a list of questions I'd ask Brooks if I ever had a chance to talk to him. You know, those little detailed questions we come up with when we watch something over and over, and study body language, etc. Maybe I'll publish them in my blog. Maybe I won't.
