I think for the success of the future they should watch together and resolve any issues that arise. Better now than later. At the FRC she attempted to tell Chris she loved Brooks but did not really go into the extent. Plus what happened to the sunset shots? It was still early evening during the FRC? Also why was Elan in Seattle with Chris taping? Nothing of that time was shown. Why did Chris remove his safehouse picture right after part 1. Why did he need to present her with a poem at the ATFR. He could have given her that in privacy to show how much he cared. Some things are not making sense to me.

I wish Brooks would go on Jimmy Kimmel! I wonder if the show won't let him though.

Maybe so. Maybe it is manufactured. And maybe Brooks had reason to be nervous during the ATFR.

If a woman is standing there listening to a man ask her to marry him, and she has to stop him to mention another mans name, that woman should not be getting engaged. Good heavens! The more I think about this, the more comical it gets. Come on Chris, have a little pride in yourself and demand to find a woman who will be head over heals for you that doesn't need to mention another mans name when you ask her to marry you. Ugggg...

Just read the piece in the LA Times and I have to agree...here's an excerpt:

For real, though, I love me some Chris. He's sweet and sensitive and he gives out journals! Leather-bound ones. Which is why I’m not OK with him being the pity pick! I mean, am I the only one who was weirded out when, on “After the Final Rose,” he didn’t say he was even remotely bothered by the whole Brooks fiasco?

He has since realized his fiancee bawled her eyes out, saying she only saw herself with Brooks just TWO days before he proposed, and he still feels good about getting down on one knee? Guys, chime in here. Am I missing something? 'Cause in that sitch, I’d feel like a rebound.

What really bothered me, though, was that after Des got dumped by Brooks, she tried to act as though she had truly been considering Chris as a viable option the entire season.

Um, no, gurl! Approximately 48 hours ago, you said Brooks was the only one for you. And sure, I totally get it. It feels good to have someone showering you with love after your heart has been trampled on. But the fact that Des kept repeating that she had never been treated this well by any guy only strengthened my belief that she’s settling.

But, ugh! What she said right before Chris proposed is sticking with me -- that her love for Brooks blindsided her, and she couldn’t see the great guy in front of her all along.

I think she wants to love Chris, but she’ll always wonder what it would be like to be with a guy whose affection she has to fight for -- i.e. Brooks. C’mon, sweetie. We’ve all seen “Sex & the City.” This is classic Aidan vs. Big, right here.

Why did they have Zak sing his stupid song and the invisible ink trick? Everything is scripted with this show. It's the one thing Brooks brought... not being scripted!

Wow, that is ballsy, JK! I kinda love it.

I'm really pulling for Des and Chris, but I can't help but think she will get bored with him later on.

I believe Des has some deep-seated self-esteem issues that were only made worse during Sean's season, and of course the Brooks thing was the last straw, so she went with safety and comfort. Chris will build up her self-esteem and she will either find the same passion with him that she shared with Brooks, or a much stronger Des and Chris will part ways and she will find the man that has it all.....passion, intellect, interesting personality, plus the reciprocated love, safety and comfort.

She really wanted and needed Brooks and Chris wrapped into one, so it will be interesting to see how this relationship pans out since I'm not seeing the passion and sense of adventure in theirs yet.

There is very much a "LOOK AT US. LOOK AT HOW IN LOVE WE ARE" feeling I get with them. Des/Chris seem to want to prove to the world that its the real thing. Wish them best.

I agree! It was embarrassing to be there in the audience listening to yet another very personal poem. Des was flattered but also embarrassed.

I think it would've been more affective if Des would've made some grand romantic gesture to Chris, don't you think?

TP/CH pulled out all the stops to oversell this relationship. It would be more believable to me if they didn't do that. It looks like they were all trying a little too hard.
