PRESS RELEASE - ENTERTAINMENT - NEXT WEEK ON THE BACHELORETTE FINALE AND AFTER THE FINAL ROSE (8/5)

SEASON FINALE - PART 2

IT'S ONE OF THE MOST DRAMATIC EVENINGS EVER ON ABC WITH THE CULMINATION
OF THE TWO-PART SEASON FINALE OF "THE BACHELORETTTE," MONDAY, AUGUST 5

AND IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE SEASON FINALE, BROOKS, CHRIS AND DREW
JOIN DESIREE TO LOOK BACK AT THE SHOCKING OUTCOME OF THEIR JOURNEY,
LIVE, ON "THE BACHELORETTE: AFTER THE FINAL ROSE"

"Episode 910 --Season Finale, Part 2" - After enduring heartbreak when Sean Lowe sent her home last season on "The Bachelor," Desiree Hartsock refused to give up her fairytale dream of romance, and she returned for a second chance at love. After surviving shocking twists and turns, Desiree narrowed down the 25 bachelors to three fabulous guys - Brooks, Chris and Drew. While she was ready to give her heart completely to Brooks, he did not share her feelings. Desiree was expecting fireworks when she met Brooks in Antigua, but when he broke up with her very unexpectedly, she was left crying at the edge of a dock, devastated, heartbroken, hopeless and ready to go home. In this week's emotional conclusion, Desiree must decide if she can move forward with the other two men or if her hope of finding love has been ruined. Part 2 of the Season Finale of "The Bachelorette" airs MONDAY, AUGUST 5 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Then, emotions run high as Desiree sits down with Chris Harrison, live, to talk about her three final bachelors from this season - Brooks, Chris and Drew. She will take viewers back to those final days in Antigua when Brooks, the man she fell in love with, decided to go home. She will discuss her feelings in those finals days, her relationships with the final three men and the heart-wrenching decisions that she had to make that changed their lives forever. Brooks, Chris and Drew are back to discuss the shocking outcome of the season. It's the poignant ending to Desiree's heartfelt journey to find true love, live, on "The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose," MONDAY, AUGUST 5 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET).

Desiree must decide if her chemistry with the remaining two men has the potential to be as intense as the chemistry she had with Brooks, who she thought was the love of her life. She confronts these life-changing decisions in a discussion with Chris Harrison, weighing the possibilities of a life with Chris or Drew. Drew, a sweet, compassionate and caring man, is completely in love with her. Chris has remained confident in their connection throughout the emotional rollercoaster ride. Desiree sees a relationship blossoming with him as well.

After breaking down in tears with Chris Harrison, she is ready to face the final two men. In a moving confession, she tells them that Brooks has decided to leave. How will the men react when they learn of her feelings for Brooks?

The final days of Desiree's journey are filled with questions. If she does see promise in either Chris or Drew, will she introduce them to her family? Whether they meet her family or not, will Desiree's brother, Nate, play a role in sabotaging her quest for love again? Desiree must look inward and consider if the love she has always wanted is right in front of her, or if her heartache over Brooks' lost love will crush her dreams of finding a soul mate.

The two remaining men are:
Chris, 27, a mortgage broker from Seattle, WA
Drew, 27, a digital marketing analyst from Scottsdale, AZ

Hosted by Chris Harrison, "The Bachelorette" is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss and Martin Hilton are executive producers. cfck2222 wrote:Just a quick point:

I didn't realize until last week's US Weekly cover story that the earlier Life & Style story was likely *not* a production leak, which is likely it was so vague, possibly inaccurate on details, and didn't mention anything about all the drama. So if Life & Style is the basis for saying Desiree is definitely engaged, then I'm not so sure.

I do realize that WetPaint has been claiming there was an engagement all along though. That's likely where Life & Style got the ring picture. I wonder though if, after getting the ring leak, WetPaint's writer assumed engagement? Maybe it's in fact a promise ring as some have speculated.

I'm just speculating that there's some wiggle room to consider the possibility of no engagement at the end of this season. That would be the outcome that would be the least uncomfortable for people if there is an F1, no matter who the F1 may be, right?

And I haven't seen this week's tabloids, sorry- really hope somebody else is able to come through for you all. If there are strategic tabloid leaks this week (they would probably be to US Weekly again since it has run 2 Desiree cover stories so far this season), perhaps they will clarify the engagement issue.

That WetPaint article was pretty specific on that Final 2 guy's ring though.

Thanks, but I don't think that contradicts what I'm trying to say? I'm just addressing the issue of Desiree accepting a proposal from the F1, and speculating that an engagement may have been assumed by WetPaint based on the ring. I'm definitely not disputing the possibility that the F2 proposed and Desiree turned him down.

Or maybe I'm not understanding what you're saying.

ONTD puts up tabloid covers Wednesday afternoon, maybe around 3 or 4 PM Eastern. You can also find a very snarky and funny summary of tabloid highlights every Wednesday afternoon at Jezebel. Usually gets posted between 3 and 4:30 PM Eastern time.

I can say this much: there's no Desiree on the cover of US Weekly this week. It's a Kate Middleton cover with additional feature stories on Christina Aguilera, some Real Housewife facing criminal charges, and Lamar Odom and whichever Kardashian he married.

Edit: No Desiree on the cover of Life & Style or In Touch either.

Yes, it was very vague, but they got their info from production. So far, they have been they only one to mention that the FRC took place on Dow Hill on the 6th, no one else (even the super sleuths on this forum) had that information which the previews have since confirmed to be accurate (location wise). I think what happened this year is that the information was spread thin between L&S and Us. Us only had that photo of Des on the boat. when I eventually read the article, I have found out that all those quotes they claim they got from Des directly are things she has actually said about the guys in VO/PI's on the show. The only part I didn't hear her say is that Brooks is "over-analytical" but she talked about his feeling being "up and down" in a VO during their HTD. I don't know if they have a picture of the actual ring this time around, but they had it right for both Emily and Sean's seasons.

If Brooks was going to return and I expect the Des' Finale episode description to include something similar to the bolded in Jillian's episode description.  jmo

You would think so. The only thing I can think of is that they want to wait to dangle that carrot until a new promo/commercial this week. Or maybe they gave an exclusive interview or story on the return which is about to drop.

Spoilers aside, there has to be a reason why they have Brooks at the ATFR, they moved the MTA, made it a 2 part finale, etc. Otherwise, he could have just left at F3, gone to the MTA to sit in the hot seat, and that would be that.

I feel it in my bones--my spine, that Brooks will be back next week. He's like a bad case of indigestion, you can't get rid of it. While others will be breaking out the wine--I will be chilling my mylanta!

No good deed goes unpunished.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, bye Felicia!

SEASON FINALE

IT'S ONE OF THE MOST ROMANTIC AND DRAMATIC NIGHTS EVER ON ABC,
ON THE SEASON FINALE OF "THE BACHELORETTE" MONDAY, JULY 27

With Time Running Out, Jillian Makes a Momentous Decision
That Will Change Her Life

"Episode 510" - In this gripping special conclusion, Jillian, the vivacious restaurant designer who began her search for love with 30 bachelors, has survived a dramatic, rocky road and found herself falling in love with two wonderful men, Ed and Kiptyn. As she prepares to make one of the most difficult decisions of her life, she invites the two remaining bachelors to the Big Island of Hawaii to meet her family. Then the men have one last chance to lay their hearts on the line, each trying to guarantee that he will be the one to get Jillian's final rose. But in the most dramatic and emotional conclusion in "Bachelorette" history, there is an unexpected confession that changes everything. Will Jillian find her soul mate? It's a decision that will change her life forever, on the Season Finale of "The Bachelorette," MONDAY, JULY 27 (8:00-10:02 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Jillian continues her amorous adventures on the Big Island of Hawaii where her mom, dad, grandma and cousin arrive to assist her with one of the toughest decisions of her life. Not wanting to see her heartbroken again, her family grills both Ed and Kiptyn about their intentions and their feelings for Jillian.

After her family weighs in on her options, Jillian takes Ed on a panoramic helicopter ride above the Big Island's bubbling lava pits. Jillian is falling for this sensitive bachelor, but time is running out for her to make sure she has real chemistry with him. Landing in a lush jungle, the two enjoy a private lunch and a romantic dip in a private lagoon, but Ed must convince Jillian that they are compatible.

Next, Jillian takes Kiptyn on a romantic boat ride to a secluded beach, where the couple share a picnic lunch and frolic in the water. Their physical attraction is undeniable, but Jillian still needs to make sure that Kiptyn is prepared for a future with her. Will he finally share the depth of his feelings for her?

As the moment of decision approaches, Jillian is torn. She is in love with both men and knows she would have an incredible life with either one. A tearful Jillian wrestles with her emotions and is ready to make her ultimate decision, but at the very last minute one man's shocking change of heart makes Jillian question everything. Does she find her best friend, soul mate and future husband?

The two remaining men are:
Ed, 29, technology consultant from Chicago, IL.
Kiptyn, 31, business developer from Encinitas, CA.

Hosted by Chris Harrison, "The Bachelorette" is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television. Mike Fleiss and Martin Hilton are the executive producers. This program is broadcast with Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to air date.

Brooks will be at the ATFR because he is the reason for Des' heartbreak which was a major factor.  imo  Also, the final conflict for Des is whether she can continue with the process in hopes of finding her fairytale or will she allow her broken heart to ruin her chances.  IMO, this has nothing to do with Brooks returning ETA:before the FRC.
