I have thought so before, but when I tried to sleuth it and asked for confirmation who, when where would I find the information I got shot down.
Brooks hugs people with his hands on their heads. on his htd, he did that to his mom. I think it's Des' arm around his neck, her head on his chest, his hand holding her head and his head on his hand. remember we were told that to some producers it looked like tears of joy, they eye folds went up.
Jeepers, I will gladly stand here and get hit with tomatoes with you on this...
I'm not afraid of any tomatoes! They deliberately made that screen cap so close up so we can't see anything else. You could be right either FRC or they are making up.
On an urelated note, I would get very wigged out if someone was up that close on my face! (get out of my bubble!)

I noticed him hug his mother that way. He very well could be hugging her head there. But his crying seems sad there. I guess it could be a release kind of cry.

Maybe it's Des that needs to learn to bend a little and come his. She is racing ahead and he's trying desperately to keep up and she's putting a lot of pressure on him. MAYBE what she learns, the learning curve she refers to, is that she realizes that if she wants him (which she professes she does) she needs to come his way a little bit. Maybe that's what she means by wants vs. needs. She wants him to be the racehorse, a guy to just race to the finish with her, and she learns, by the end, that if she wants him she's going to need to come his way.
She sacrifices her want of the race to the finish for what she needs, him, even if that means slowing down a bit.
I mean, really, why is it all about Des?
Yup. She's getting what she wants from Chris and Drew. Assurances and proclamations of love. But what she needs imo is to be with the man she is in love with and I believe returns those feelings even if it is at a slower pace than the others. It actually would mean more to me if i were in that position to know the guy thought it through and even struggled a little because that would show me he is serious about it and when he did say it, I'd know he truly believed it and meant it. TPTB are getting what they want though. My friend (unspoiled) is drinking the :koolaid:and thinks Brooks isn't right for her because he seems so unsure still. She says she should have kept Zak instead since he really loves her. SMH.
Well, love is a two-way street and maybe she needs to learn that. I think it's totally possible she needed to learn that. After all, she only has her brother, who she doesn't seem close to at all, and left her family and has little to do with any of them. She lives a pretty selfish life. Then along comes Brooks who doesn't follow her plans, yet, stick in her craw, she can't get over the fact that she's in love with him. She's waiting, she wants him to start to rush. She's waiting, waiting. And eventually he starts to feel the pressure to the point where he's really questioning everything and might not think he can give her everything she wants, even though he would like to explore further. CH tells him to tell her his problems, knowing how Des has talked and how she'll act. And she can't handle it. It's not what Brooks wanted. He just wanted, hopefully, to get her to see things his way a little. She wants that perfect race to the finish, though. The others are giving her that, for sure. Brooks is left going "This is the worst day of my life. There's nothing I can say." She thinks she doesn't want to love someone who doesn't love her as much. She always loves the wrong guys. She soon learns that if she wants to keep Brooks she's going to need to think of him a little more.
Her learning curve is she learns that if she REALLY wants to be with Brooks she's going to have to bend and give and come his way a little. If she doesn't, she's going to lose him. [b style="font-weight: bold;"]And he, in turn, learns he loves her, for real, because he thinks he's lost her (like his brother predicted). They both come together, in the end.[/b]
The second that conversation was shown with the really pretty music in the background going back and forth btw Brooks and Bros to Des/Brooks mom to Brooks and Sis I had a pretty strong feeling that was something that would come up later and still think it might. I didn't see anything else significant in the other HTDs that would need be clarified in the finale as CH has hinted will happen by saying the HTDs will make more sense once you see the finale....
I was going to (insert any productive activity) but then well...........Nick

While you're doing all this reflecting on what Des needs to do or what Des needed to have done, would you be as kind to remind Brooks that he is on a 10 weeks SHOW and that Des knows the time is limited.. I mean she knows TPTB are on her daily to make sure Brooks is ready to propose to her at the end, so it would be so nice to kindly cut Des a little bit of slack once in a while.
And for the grace of God can you please tell me how you come up with Des lives a selfish life? How do you know it's of her own choosing that she lives in a different state than her parents do? Was she so wrong to move from where they live to try to make a life and have a career of her own? I would frown more on her if she lived in their basement and didn't have a career..
People seem to forget with all this Brooks love that Des has a show to put on and has guidelines to go by. If Brook didn't consider himself ready to fall in love in that length of time then why on earth did he even go on the show???? JMHO!!

What's the best way to hide an obvious F1? Mess with the edit . That's what they've done to Brooks thus far. All previews and media are creating doubt for 1 person. Brooks. Have at it I say! We know it will all work out in the end. It's become Brooks-Gate.

He did consider himself ready to fall in love, according to his interview beforehand. He didn't know if it'd work on this show, but he was willing to give it a try. And he was definitely feeling it during his HTD, like when his mother told him that she thought Brooks and Des were really compatible, and he said I know. Isn't it amazing. Who would've thought it. Or whatever he said. And the look on his face when he says it.
Brooks is such a villain to be a slow mover. It's such an awful trait. If you even look at the songs he loves on Spotify, the dude is all chill and laid-back (and kind of cool). It's his personality. I think, in the end, he must fulfill that little pivotal moment that CH referred to existing in the HTDs, highlighted with that music, when his bro talks about him losing Des. Things become clear to him when he thinks he has. Sometimes that's all it takes. But to get there there's going to be a little pain, on both of their parts. Love isn't always happy.
She's going to have to learn that Brooks is what she needs and she'll do what she has to to keep him, as well.

I know. They place doubt on the F1 at this point EVERY time. Examples: Ashley: edit made it look like Ben (in FD and finale at least); Ben: Courtney was constantly in the hot seat, didn't see Emily so don't know, for Sean, they placed doubt upon Catherine F4 and F3, leaving her last at to get Rose and him expressing uncertainty with her. In a twisted way, it is almost a good sign to have all this doubt placed on Brooks, especially since they keep verbalizing an ending you don't see coming. Since people (at least unspoiled) are suppose to think Chris is F1, that rules him out for ending you didn't see coming as he now is who many think she picks. I think they also threw in the "I'm in love with Brooks" from Des super early as a reverese psychology attempt and even had their puppet Ali throw that in her blog that them showing that so blatantly means he isn't the one. One other thing on my mind, I realize some conflict does occur but also remember that stupid dramatic letter from Catherine to Sean at FRC and I also remember how they hyped that Des prank on Season at HTD and made it seem as though it went really bad and cost her the rose from him when in fact he got a kick out of that part and Nate is the one that took things downhill.
