EXCLUSIVE: 'Bachelorette' Desiree Hartsock: "I Want a Small, Intimate Wedding"

After spending two tumultuous seasons looking for love in the spotlight — previously appearing on Sean Lowe’s season of ABC’s The Bachelor and now starring on The Bachelorette — Desiree Hartsock sits down with In Touch to dish on her future wedding plans.

“I care more about the marriage itself than an extravagant wedding,” Desiree reveals in the new issue of In Touch, on newsstands now, “so I want it to be small and intimate.”

Although the former bridal stylist insists she didn’t grow up fantasizing about a lavish dream wedding — “No, I haven’t been planning mine since I was a little girl” — the 27-year-old does have some plans in the works! Dishing on her self-designed dress and wedding location, Des tells In Touch: “It will be a vintage-inspired sheath gown with lace or beading,” adding, “I love destination weddings!”

Still unsure if her nuptials will be televised, Desiree can’t wait to go public with her love, gushing: “You have no idea [how excited I am]. I’ve been keeping this secret forever!”

Sworn to secrecy on whose proposal she accepts on the Aug. 5 finale, the Northglenn, Colo., native says what she’s most looking forward to about tying the knot is “being with that person for the rest of my life. Knowing that they’re my best friend and we’re able to go through ups and downs and get through it together.”

I think it may be different. I don't see the prominent wooden features on the Chris boat.

The caption is interesting " I won't settle. It's all about timing. "

Yes, very interesting.  To me it definitely points to Brooks.
Admittedly I am definitely one of those who has always been on the Des/Brooks train, and while I can see she really likes/"loves" Chris because really what's there not to like (about any of her F4 as a matter of fact), I believe if she chooses him, she would be settling. I feel this way because from the start, we've seen that she's been so smitten for Brooks and the guys had noticed it as well right after their first 1 on 1 date. I feel she would be settling for Christ unless in these last two episodes they really show us more of their intimate conversations, and her declaring she's "in love" with him. It could happen I guess. We never know what's on the cutting room floor.

However, the not settling, it's all about timing part could also make the point that it's not Brooks IF she feels he doesn't love her the way she loves him. At this time when she is really looking for marriage, and that's where the timing part comes in, she won't settle for what she's always had and that would be never being loved by someone as much as she loves them. Am I confusing anyone? giggling

Who doesn't?

She's mentioned his hair more than once. She mentioned it to an interviewer post-show.

I think they are different boats, too. It could be just the angle taken of the boat in the magazine picture, but the Madeira boat looks wider to me.

I don't know how "small" or "intimate" a wedding you can have if your groom has an automatic family guest list on at least 50 people! and those are the immediate family! 😆

I just said the same thing above. :cutesmile!:

It's that last line. How would she know that unless it was Brooks.

First my little giggle moment . Sheath gown with beading? Pic of Brooks holding on to something whitish with beads? Nah. Just joking giggling

Second, going through ups and downs and KNOWING you can get through it? Screams Brooks to me. sneakyl
