I really think there's no more guessing at this point.
You have to communicate to get over humps we all face in a relationship. The one thing Bres does IS communicate . It's the lifeline to a relationship. Are we guessing a short courtship btw? Just asking .

After spending two tumultuous seasons looking for love in the spotlight — previously appearing on Sean Lowe’s season of ABC’s The Bachelor and now starring on The Bachelorette — Desiree Hartsock sits down with In Touch to dish on her future wedding plans.
“I care more about the marriage itself than an extravagant wedding,” Desiree reveals in the new issue of In Touch, on newsstands now, “so I want it to be small and intimate.”
Although the former bridal stylist insists she didn’t grow up fantasizing about a lavish dream wedding — “No, I haven’t been planning mine since I was a little girl” — the 27-year-old does have some plans in the works! Dishing on her self-designed dress and wedding location, Des tells In Touch: “It will be a vintage-inspired sheath gown with lace or beading,” adding, “I love destination weddings!”
Still unsure if her nuptials will be televised, Desiree can’t wait to go public with her love, gushing: “You have no idea [how excited I am]. I’ve been keeping this secret forever!”
Sworn to secrecy on whose proposal she accepts on the Aug. 5 finale, the Northglenn, Colo., native says what she’s most looking forward to about tying the knot is “being with that person for the rest of my life. Knowing that they’re my best friend and we’re able to go through ups and downs and get through it together.”
Per the bolded, I guess that cancels out Brooks... :-)
ETA: I see sfranks made a similar comment... great minds, you know... :-)
I was joking...still hoping its Brooks but that last line screams Brooks! I'm all over the map today!

2 different boats stil .. The masts and rigging are completely different
It's not the angle .. The Maderia boat has heavier and round mast and boom with less rigging lines .. The other one has more of a squared oval mast and completely different rigging

The description says it was taken on May 5th in Antigua. I think it's just one of those 'thinking about my decision' things.

Me too on the joking; I know you're for Brooks, but to me, the last line could apply to any of the F3.

I think what the description means is that Des "wrapped up" filming on the 5th of May. Which means FRC, according to them, was 5th of May. Just another date to add to the growing list!

No kidding! I guess Des' immediate family only being the size of 3 helps!sfrank wrote:momoftrips wrote:EXCLUSIVE: 'Bachelorette' Desiree Hartsock: "I Want a Small, Intimate Wedding"

I don't know how "small" or "intimate" a wedding you can have if your groom has an automatic family guest list on at least 50 people! and those are the immediate family!

How do we know which articles we can believe and which ones we can't? Some are pro Brooks, pro Chris, etc. Different dates. So do we really know which is fact? That's why I don't get too excited for any of them.

Re: Bachelorette 9 - General Media - Discussion
sfrank, thanks for the US Weekly summary/scan!! I couldn't get to the newsstands today so I'm extra happy you did.
So let me get this straight: the producers' idea of great drama, the producers' idea of Brooks' tragic character flaw is.....that he doesn't feel comfortable proposing to Desiree within the context of this show, after like, 3 dates that took place while Desiree was dating other people? If that doesn't say everything about how upside down and backwards this show is, I don't know what will.
I don't blame Desiree for her part in this ridiculousness, though I think she's going to take some hits for buying into the show's party line on the issue of a proposal.
This all screams manufactured storyline to me. Now whether it was manufactured to milk max drama out of Brooks not being as into Desiree as she was him, or manufactured as the only thing that could spice up what has apparently been one of the most obvious F1 situations in show history remains to be seen.
From the excerpts sfrank has posted, they're making Chris sound like the ol' reliable, but not doing a whole lot to make a case for him as F1 for any other reason than being...there. As far as Desiree being torn, according to US Weekly a couple weeks ago, the hometown dates boosted Drew's case and it was between Brooks & Drew. Not Chris. Tabloids aren't that great at remembering what they said in previous issues, but the fact that Brooks & Drew are on the cover is supposed to tell us that either Brooks or Drew is the frontrunner who "rejects" Desiree. The "not settling" comment could be about Brooks, but it could refer to not settling for a guy who couldn't take the heat in the context of the show.
Now it makes sense to me why Life & Style came out with its "Yes! I'm Engaged!!!!!!" cover a week earlier than usual, with fewer details than usual. They were trying to undercut US Weekly's producer-sanctioned cover story this week, which is intended to feed the narrative that Desiree may end up alone. Seeing as this is US Weekly's 2nd Bach'ette cover in 4 weeks, with another secondary feature story mentioned on the cover in another week, it looks like Next Productions has in fact primarily been working with US Weekly this season, and less so Life & Style. That's a change. Next week's tabloid of choice will no doubt be focused on the epic battle for Desiree's heart and the happy ending.
* Disclaimer: My biases: haven't really watched this season but I find Drew to be the physically hottest (though the buying followers thing is lame), and I was just recently admiring Chris S's lovely hands and general attractiveness. The little I watched of this season was of Desiree and Brooks's 1st date, and I found myself thinking Brooks was really sweet and contemplative, though I also got the vibe he was a little bit unanchored in life and maybe has some buttons it would be easy for producers to push (neither of which is a major character flaw, because I ended up liking him and also think he's a good-looking guy). Also, any skepticism he may genuinely have had about proposing would make me like him more, not less.

Re: Bachelorette 9 - General Media - Discussion
I believe that last line points only to Brooks taking into account the final two episodes because everyone knows the trouble is with Brooks, and not with Chris or Drew. I don't see any ups and downs she has to get over with Drew as of yet. Other than how it would relate to her feelings about Brooks. And if Chris tells her on one of his final two dates that his job won't allow for his moving, that's hardly ups and downs worthy because Des can certainly move to him and has said she would be up to doing so for her chosen one.

Well - except the In Touch is a direct quote from Des, not 'insider' information.
