I don't love people calling anyone a default either. I guess that makes Roberto a default because I think Frank was her favorite when he left. She also had strong feelings for Roberto and was able to move on nicely. We only know what they chose to show of Des talking about the guys and it's up in the air whether she can trust Brooks. I hear you bean, and you know I certainly mean no disrespect to anyone. But what do you call it if you end up with someone other than the one you have been openly professing love for?

Des is not saying she is falling in love with multiple people and can't decide who to choose like Sean did. Des emphatically states she loves Brooks. We've heard it multiple times the last two episodes.

She told Chris she is hopeful for a proposal at the end with Brooks.

I really feel for Drew and Chris for having to watch this.

I get the feeling sometimes that she does not pick anyone in the end. Perhaps what she wanted she didn't get and what she needs is a break from men - particular 25 at a time !

ETA : Bee about your post - we have been saying that we feel bad for Chris and Drew and yes, even Zac for a while.
BUT I also sometimes get the feeling that though she has been saying I love Brooks for a couple of weeks now, she doesn't know the real meaning of the words. Loving someone to the extent that you wish to spend a lifetime with them forever means its a 2 way street. Otherwise it is a one-sided crush. I hope she clues in to what is available to her and if not then she walks away alone at the end of this.

A good thing ? Not in  Des'  book if that pier scene is to go by. That cannot be spun in some glorified "ride off into the sunset" type scene you guys are constantly posting about.  Not that one.

Well said! There is no way to try to make that pier scene anything other than it is and that is something painful and unpleasant.  

I also wanted to interject something about the debate about whether it's better to pick a so-called default F1.  Well all I can say is, after watching those previews and seeing what goes down with Brooks and Des and all her heartache and emotion then someone please tell me how it's a good thing if she picks Brooks in the end? My question is how do you turn that around and have a happy ending? How do you go from that kind of betrayal and hurt to being the next happily engaged twosome?

There are worse things than picking a supposed default F1.  Also, Des has said that she is falling in love with Chris. She has expressed real feelings for him. They may not be as strong as what she was feeling at the time for Brooks, but who is to say that the guy who was there for her all along ends up being the one she realizes is the right one for her? That could also apply to Drew, who has been there for her all the way. But up to this point, Des has only expressed strong feelings for Brooks and Chris. We don't know if we have heard everything she feels for Drew.

I don't think of it as picking a default, but more of coming to her senses and realizing what it takes from BOTH people to have a beautiful marriage, as Des' own parents do.
