Re: Chris Siegfried -Bachelorette Contestant - Spoilers - Thread #7
If Chris is the f1 then I expect he's quietly flown into L.A. It's more likely to me than SF. We haven't heard of any of the guys being seen at LAX and we know Drew's flown in.

yeah, that's probably what it was. I remember Drew giving out roses to the girls in his sister's soccer team as well and in Chris' case with Elan there, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm still waiting to find out what the filming was about

Game on in the race for Des' heart
====================================
------------------------------------ week 1
from Desiree's blog:I love a man who can make me laugh, so another entrance that was witty and fun was Chris getting down on one knee to then only wipe sweat from his brow and tie his shoe. Way to scare me
and trick me all at the same time!
(note: of the final 4 Desiree only mentioned 2 people in her first blog - Chris and Zak)
====================================
------------------------------------ week 3
from Desiree's blog:
Dodgeball is one of my favorite pastimes and it's a great way to let off some steam. But the men had more steam than I originally expected! Once I saw the balls flying, I got nervous for the guys. But I
could see that they were having a blast, so I tried not to worry.
*At practice some guys still tried to talk with me and others seemed to forget they were on a date and were focused solely on the game. I appreciate someone with focus and the desire to win, but it was also
nice to see that some guys could do both.
Brooks and I had an incredible date the week before so I already felt connected to him, which made it even harder to watch him in pain. I was disappointed that he had gotten hurt and had to go to the
hospital. But I had a lot of great men on this date that I needed to focus on.
Chris Gets a Rose
That night I had really great conversations with everyone, but the highlight was my time with Chris. I didn't expect our conversation to come so easily. I felt like I'd known him for years. He was so witty
and confident, and I knew I wanted to spend more time with him. Giving Chris the rose meant a lot to me and the slow dance in the park was the romance I had hoped for.
from Chris H's blog:
Chris, who we also finally got to know this week, was able to make a big enough impression on Des that he got the group date rose and the private show with Kate Earl. It was brutal that the guys had to sit
and listen to the concert knowing that Des and Chris were sharing an intimate moment together.
====================================
------------------------------------ week 4
from Desiree's blog:
Another surprise came from Chris, who shared a poem that he wrote. I write poetry as well. Knowing we have that common interest was more than I could have imagined. He showed another side, and that left me
intrigued.
from Chris H's blog:
Chris walking out in high heels with hula-hoops around his arms was just one of many bad images.
====================================
------------------------------------
May 6 interview with People mag:
"I like someone who's spontaneous and adventurous and enjoys every aspect of life. And not to get too serious, but someone who could be my best friend and be a support system, someone who I can see as the
father of my kids," the 26-year-old tells PEOPLE.
Her inspiration is very close to home. "My parents have been together 40 years and married for 35," she says. "My dad has her back no matter what, and she's so affectionate to him. They act like they are
16."
A deal breaker, Hartsock says, is "someone who is selfish and doesn't want kids, because I really do want a family."
===================================
------------------------------------ week 5
from Desiree's blog:
I couldn't wait to spend a full day with Chris. It was important for me to see if we could have fun being tourists and just be spontaneous. I also wanted to see how he looked in a pair of lederhosen! Chris
was so playful that I knew we could have fun together on a daily basis. And he was the perfect man to be there after my surprise visitor.
Even though I know I'm dating multiple guys, it was awkward to be in the middle of a fun and random moment with Chris and have Bryden show up. My worlds were colliding.
Bryden was not one to open up easily, but I was shocked he wanted to leave. He seemed so reassured in Atlantic City. Bryden should have told me how he was feeling back in the States, before coming all the
way to Germany and interrupting my date with Chris. I didn't know if I should be angry, sad, worried, or what ... but it definitely raised questions about the remaining men. Are they committed to see if this
could work or will they also leave unexpectedly?
Chris made it easy to forget about the distraction. He is so supportive and comforting. He handled the situation gracefully and like a true gentleman. Dinner that night was straight out of a storybook. The
palace, the dinner, the conversation, and the romance were beyond my wildest dreams. I truly felt like a princess. Chris made me feel special while dancing in his arms, as if we were the only two people in
that ballroom. I almost forgot about the date crasher.
from Chris H's blog:
Chris got the first one-on-one date this week. This is a guy who has really emerged from the pack the last few weeks. He was a slow starter but has really made up ground and seems to be making an impact on
Des. The date was going great until Bryden decided that not only did he need to leave, but he really needed to leave right then and there. So he set off to find Des to break the news to her immediately. I
don’t necessarily think he needed to bust into her date to do this, but I do respect the fact that Bryden pulled himself out of this situation as soon as he was absolutely sure Des wasn’t right for him. At
this point, taking up space in the house and on dates just isn’t fair to Des or the other guys. While Des wasn’t exactly blown away by this news she was upset by the realization that this can happen. Chris
was put in a tough spot, having to help Des recover and also save his date. He did a great job pulling the situation together, assuring Des he was there for the long haul. Later that night when Des was
explaining that she really needs words of affirmation in a relationship, Chris whips out a poem he wrote. This was perfect timing and Des really took it to heart. It was the icing on the cake for what had
been a really good date.
====================================
------------------------------------ week 6
from Desiree's blog:
I was excited to have one-on-one time with both Brooks and Chris – especially knowing that I had to talk to James later. I shared a poem I wrote with Chris. He has been so generous with his thoughts and
poems. Everything is so natural and easy with him. It truly felt like we were high school sweethearts sitting on my bed that night.
Both Brooks and Chris lifted my spirits and made the night seem like it was going well.
from Chris H's blog:
Drew got the first one-on-one date this week and he and Des made the short drive to spend the day getting lost in Barcelona. We’ve seen a little bit of Drew but we’ve never seen him like we did on this date.
Drew opened up to Des and revealed a lot about his personal life, especially the struggles with his dad. These conversations can sometimes get awkward but Des and Drew really seemed to get each other on a
very deep, personal level. The date had a heavy start but it really took off from there. At dinner, Drew really seemed to step out of his comfort zone when he attempted to steal Des away to a private place
so he could deliver what Des described as a very passionate kiss. It’s a little hard to steal Des away when we have all our cameras there working, but the sentiment is what’s important. Drew obviously got
the rose and is definitely someone to be watched as we continue.
Juan Pablo was easily the best player for the guys, but Chris was the surprise star.
====================================
------------------------------------ week 7
from Desiree's blog:
Saying I Love You
I was excited to see Chris, and I thought that spending a day relaxing out at sea would turn up the romance. It was nice to share that time on a deserted island with Chris and write a poem together. That's
something I've never done before with a boyfriend, so it definitely set our connection apart from others.
Dinner with Chris that night in town was beyond romantic. It was nice to learn more about his family. But the ultimate treat was another poem he wrote that ended with him saying he loved me. That was more
than I had expected that night. It meant so much to me that he was able to be so vulnerable. It was also a good sign that I wasn't scared when he read those words.
----------------------------------------------
from Chris H's blog:
Brooks got the first one-on-one this week. I find these two very interesting. They seem happy together, but they also seem very cautious. It’s almost as if they spend time trying to figure out how to define
their relationship or figure out how the other person is feeling. For example, they came up with “adjectives” to describe where they are between like and love. Now the fact that they actually came up with
verbs, and not adjectives, is something I know mortified every English teacher in the world, but that’s not the point. The point is while their outward appearance is happy and free, their words still seem
cautious. Des later admitted to me that she isn’t “running” toward love, she’s actually at the “finish line.” She’s in love with Brooks and she feels he’s in love with her as well, although he hasn’t
expressed that to her verbally.
Chris got the second one-on-one this week and as good as Brooks’ date was, Chris’ was just as emotional, if not more. When these two are together they just seem right. It’s unbelievably easy and nothing
seems forced between them. Chris really seems to make Des happy and he became the first this season to tell Des he loves her. He did it in a poem, but it still very much counts and Des knows exactly how he
feels about her. Later, during our deliberation, Des admitted she’s also fallen for Chris and that she could easily see a future with him. I’m glad she’s kept an open mind and is still able to separate each
man and each date at this point.
She admitted she’s already in love with Brooks and Chris and that Drew and Zak were close behind.
Drew also makes Des happy, but it seems to be in a deeper emotional way. When I see them together they look like a couple that’s been together for years. They seem to get each other on a very deep level.
Drew went a little further than Zak and professed his love to her and he ended up getting the rose, but again, at this point, she already knew Zak would get one as well.
This next week with be incredibly pivotal because at this point, Des really needs to see that these men want to be there for her for the long haul and that they are just as committed to these relationships
as she is.
====================================
------------------------------------ week 8
from Desiree's blog:
Chris's Family
I was thrilled to meet Chris's family in Oregon. One of the qualities I love about Chris is his athleticism, so it was nice to share in his passion for baseball and see where he played as a kid. I enjoyed
showing off my baseball skills and hopefully impressed him. Spending the day with Chris in his hometown felt effortless and I could picture what a life together would be like. I always have an amazing time
with Chris and our relationship has progressed in such a wonderful way but I needed his family's blessing. I knew he was ready for a commitment but I needed to see if our lives meshed well together. I
enjoyed talking with his mother and I could tell she only wants what is best for her son. That was endearing and I was glad that his family gave us their blessings. It felt great to know where my
relationship stood with Chris and that made me hopeful for the rest of the journey.
what she said about the HTD with Drew and Brooks
Drew's Family
Since Drew tended to be more reserved and serious, I hoped his family would bring out a different side to him. Going with him to pick up his sister Melissa is a moment I will never forget. She was so excited
to see Drew and I could see the love that they had for each other. The care he took with her showed me how he would take care of his own family one day. I was really looking forward to meeting Drew's father,
Mal. After my conversation with him, I could see why he's Drew's hero. Mal was so kind-hearted, yet strong, and it was such a pleasure to meet him and get his blessing. His entire family was so loving and
kind – the type of family you want to be around. Also Drew lit up around his family. I could see a more comfortable and charismatic side to him that I had been looking for. And the steamy kiss he laid on me
as I left was quite memorable too!
Brooks's Family
It seemed like forever since I last saw Brooks in Madeira, so I couldn't wait to see him and meet his large family. I am always very comfortable with Brooks and love how engaging he is in conversation, so
our time in the park brought me right back to where we left off. Since his confidence throughout this journey has waivered, I shared a list of our best memories to reassure him of my strong feelings for him.
It worried me that he still needed reassurance, so I did have questions for his family to see if he is ready for a committed relationship. Meeting a family that included nine siblings and their partners
along with his mother, I was prepared for anything. His mother and siblings told me that Brooks is ready for a committed relationship once he meets the right girl and that he would be the best partner to
have in life. After a great day, I felt confident in my relationship with Brooks and couldn't wait to see him again.
-------------------------
The relationships are now at a make-it-or-break-it stage and I can see my life with any of the three men left. After that hometown rose ceremony, I was 100 percent officially in love and feeling good.
______________________________________
During the dates:
(about Drew) She doesn't do voiceover until after she meets Melissa. "Melissa loves Drew. I mean, her reaction tells it all and I can see how sweet and tender he is with her, and how much he cares. He does
like to take responsibility and he really wants to help. Drew is an amazing guy. (in answer to his dad's question) first attracted me...his eyes. Because I could see the depth and the heart that really
reflected...love. I honestly was attracted to him right away, but like, when he talks, I know he's honest and true. He really stays true to who he is...and I really like that about him. (VO) Drew's family is
phenomenal, full of love, full of life and so accepting and warm and friendly - everything I would want in a family. I want to join Drew's family right now. I want to stay." (She leaves at night).
---------------------------
(about Chris) "Seeing Chris made me happy to be here. Every time I hang out with him...I feel "good" about our relationship and where it's going. I feel like, when we see each other, we pick up right where
we left off. So, I'm excited to see what Chris has in store. Chris played professional baseball, and this is where it all started. I can picture Chris as a little boy, running the bases and hitting popflies.
It's...cute. When I'm with Chris, I feel like we have known each other for awhile, and I'm just very comfortable...and myself with him. Chris is a blend of all of the things I've been looking for.
(onscreen)He's athletic, he's adventurous but he's also poetic...and romantic. (VO) I'm having a blast with Chris. Chris is stealing my heart. I definitely have strong feelings for Chris. That's why today's
a huge day for me. knowing how much Chris' family's opinion means so much to him, (onscreen) it's important for Chris' family to love me (VO) so that he can feel comfortable with moving forward in our
relationship. That makes meeting his family so important. They have to like me.
(v0)When Chris and I walk in the door, (onscreen) his family is so excited to see him.(VO) They want to give him a hug and give me a hug. It's a great feeling when a family's so energetic and so welcoming.
Chris' dad, George, is a chiropractor and...he thought he'd give me an adjustment. Laying down, face first, with my butt in the air, with Chris' dad who I just met, massaging my back (onscreen) it's not
weird at all (smiling). Not weird at all...He's explaining all these things that he's doing to my back (VO) and I don't have a clue what those things mean. All I'm feeling is the breaks and the crinks. I
really enjoy getting my back aligned but (onscreen) I really do want to talk to him about his son. Des says to his mom about Chris - he's such a wonderful guy. He's so kind-hearted and empathetic, and his
confidence is very unique, I think. He really has all the qualities - and the lasting qualities, I think I would really want in a husband and a father of my children. (VO while they kiss with music like on
Trista/Ryan proposal..hmmm..fake out for the sleuthers?) I'm a little sad to say good-bye to Chris. I really don't want to leave just yet. (onscreen) It's so great to meet his family, and the day went...so
well (back to kiss) (VO after kiss as she's getting into the van). He does have everything that I'm looking for. (onscreen) There's definitely potential husband in Chris. (VO as she drives off, he's
watching) And...it's so amazing." (dubbed in from somewhere else? or did she say that then? just wondering) Note: it is still daytime there when she leaves.
(about Brooks) (VO while shown hugging him, greeting him with legs wrapped around him) "I'm so excited to see Brooks. I've been looking forward to this date with Brooks since our first date. (onscreen) I
love Brooks, (VO while kissing him) and I love being around him and after the first date I really did want to be here. (onscreen) and meeting his family. (VO after they talk on the grass.) Brooks has been up
and down this whole journey and (onscreen) it's understandable 'cause its kinda where I (back to VO) was last season with Sean. I think (VO) Brooks may be holding back from really...falling in love and
letting himself go there, because I am dating other guy so I want him to just try to stay focused on what we have. (onscreen) When I picture my life with Brooks, I picture fun and I picture adventure. Every
moment with Brooks is fun because he does have the tendency to make little, everyday things really romantic and special.
(VO)I walk in, and the energy was out of this world (onscreen) with so many siblings, and their significant others. This is the largest family I could ever think of. (VO) I come from a very small family. I
have my mom, my dad and my brother. That's it. I love that Brooks' family members are just...energetic...and knowing how much Brooks' family's opinion means to him (onscreen) I really need their approval.
(VO) I was really looking forward to meeting his family because I want to get more insight and (onscreen) confirm what I already feel about Brooks. (VO) And I think for him he really wants to validate what
he feels for me (onscreen) so that he can feel confident and comfortable with moving forward with his feelings." (nighttime when Date ends)
----------------------------------------------
from Chris H's blog:
Welcome to the hometown dates for Des and the boys. This was a very interesting and pivotal episode in many ways, and with all that was going on there were some things you may not even understand until you
see the dramatic two-episode finale of this season. Des was looking forward to these hometown dates and was really hoping she would get answers from these guys and their families as to who is really ready to
settle down and begin a new life together with her.
Drew was up next in what may be the most emotional; touching hometowns we’ve ever shown. Drew is clearly in love with Des and he finally said that to Des this week. It was this love and trust that allowed
Drew to feel comfortable enough to introduce Des to his mentally handicapped sister, Melissa. Des handled this touching moment with class and grace and it was a positive experience for everybody involved.
Des seemed very relaxed and comfortable with all of the families. It felt like she was really in her element at these homes, sitting down with the people that could possibly become her future in-laws. Like
Zak’s talk with his mom, Drew’s talk with his dad was incredible to watch. They can see that Des has captured Drew’s heart and it was special to hear his dad encourage Drew to go for it and bring Des into
their family.
Last week Des admitted she has fallen in love with both Brooks and Chris, and their two hometowns were last. The moment Des sees Chris you can just see her relax and start smiling. I think I speak for
everybody when I say we were all very happy to see Chris didn’t open his date with a poem. Instead, Chris ripped a page from Roberto’s hometown with Ali and took Des to the baseball field where he learned to
play. When Des went to his house she quickly learned that all important things seem to take place with this family on a chiropractic table. Des got a quick adjustment before talking a little love with
Chris’s dad, but that was nothing compared to Chris’ procedure. While talking to his dad about the future of his life Chris got a little nose adjustment. Whatever they did seemed to work because his nose
looked straight and in the middle of his face where I guess it should be. It also seemed to have the desired emotional effect because Chris’ dad gave his son his blessing to propose to Des if he so wishes.
Chris reconfirmed his love for Des and with that she entered Brooks’ hometown a perfect three for three in the love department.
Brooks is the only one up to this point who hasn’t professed his love verbally to Des. And while this hometown date was pretty good, Brooks still isn’t ready to take that leap and use the “L” word. One thing
I noticed on Brooks’ hometown date is the different dynamic. On the other hometowns Des knew the guys love her and she’s really just meeting these families and trying to see if she could see a life with
them. While Des was doing some of that with Brooks it really seemed like he was the one using the time to see if he was ready to take the big leap with Des. He really seems to be leaning on his family
members looking for answers. It seemed by the end he got those answers. Like the other families, Brooks’ family loved Des and could very much see her apart of their son’s life.
You just can’t compare the feelings she has at this point for Drew, Brooks, and Chris to those she feels for Zak.
====================================
------------------------------------ week 9
from Desiree's blog:
Next week, tune in for one of the most emotional episodes ever – which is a really weird thing to write, because it is my life we are talking about here! It will be a defining moment for me in my journey to
find love.
----------------------------------------------
from Chris H's blog:
Easily the most talked about part of the Men Tell All will no doubt be the tease of the dramatic special two-part finale. All I can tell you at this point is nobody will come out of this unscathed. It’s hard
to believe that after eleven years we still run into situations we’ve never seen before, but that’s the case here. Des and the other guys will be tested emotionally like never before. So, next Monday night
will be the first part of this special finale. Then, Monday August 5th join me for a live three-hour television event that you won’t want to miss. Let the speculation begin!

yup, I don't think they want that out there. Although, most people know that by now after RS spilled it. Not sure why they're picking on you, Grace.
